Beneficial

Jacqueline of Virginia Beach, VA November 20, 2008

Jacqueline of Virginia Beach VA (11/20/08)
My husband & I refinanced our home in May, 2006. Beneficial Mortgage called us one evening and informed us that they could include all of our bills by refinancing at a lower rate. We refinanced our home and ended up with a Line of Credit (LOC) loan. HUGE mistake!! When we at the closing the loan officer told us the LOC loan was just like a 2nd mortgage, which was a complete lie. I changed jobs due alot of stress on the job which in turn lower our monthly income.

We finally had to file for Chptr 13 in June, 2007. When I contacted HSBC regarding the bankruptcy they hurriedly hired an attorney who filed the paperwork to start foreclosing on our home. Luckily we able to file our bankruptcy before our foreclosure date. ALL of the loan officer in the Illionis location were extremely rude and could care less of our demise. AS soon as we can, We WILL definitely try to find another company to refinance with to get rid of HSBC. PLEASE don't even think of using these people, we have got to get LAWS for the consumers to get of rid of these companies!

2years ago I was dieagnosed with Luekemia, and could no longer work, I was earning 42,000 a year and last year my income with my wife was less than 20,000 our mortage company Beneficial Hsbc told us we could no longer keep the hardship arangements because we missed a payment, another represenative from company said we could continue hardship, results are they did not believe that I was ill and could not work. When I started to draw my social security and had to pay back because I made to much money, and I was paying 400.00 per mon. then I got a notice the government was taking my entire check and did so for over a year,

I then got a Bill for medicare ins, that I could not pay took another 6 mons to straighten out insurance and get back some of my social security, Best route for me and my family is to file bankruptcy, but that cost 1000.00 and where do I get that . I have enough trouble getting to doctors and treatment and paying the rent and living . House is in forclosuer. I get a letter house is being sold and then find out we choose not to sell the house. In the mean time interest keeps growing. I really do not know wher to turn and advice you could give me would be helpful Thank You

We had to move from our home of 36 years, car reposed, mortage company called my wife at work kept her on phone for 20 min. Phone rings constanly medical bill are piling up. we have lost every thing we had can live on what we have if we stay in the moderate incoming housing

We had storm damage and needed our entire roof replaced. I overnighted the check to California and told it could be processd within a few days. After several days of faxing and refaxing the same forms, they still couldn't get anyone to send a check for the roof. 3 weeks later, they sent 30% and said we would get the rest when it was complete. It to the appraiser a week and a half to turn in the report and I have been pomised everyday for the last 4 business days that the check would be overnighted to me the next day. The storm was on 9/14 and it is 10/29 and we still do not have the final 70% to pay the roofer-I spoke to supervisors and managers and no one calls you back-just tells you they will check into it.

We have bills that need to paid and a roofer that wants his money.

I own a small web based business. I am a Consulting Company that assist consumers with personal debt. It seems that the bulk of the customers are coming from Beneficial HSBC. The abuse is unbelievable. Why can't our Federal Government take their right to do business in this country? They abuse the FDCPA which was enacted by the FTC. Why do they still exist? The do some of the most unbelievable things to people and I know these people have complainted to the Attorney, I filed one myself for my customer and I'm just going to wait to see what they're response is.
