Beneficial

Anthony of Panama City, FL August 23, 2008

Anthony of Panama City FL (08/23/08)
I am refinancing my mortgage that is currently with Beneficial. At least 3 times a day they call starting at 8AM CT and my wife and I both have told tem at least 2 dozen times we are refinancing the entire amount and to stop calling. The Mortage Co. I am refinancing with has also called them numerous times and told them the same. They continue to call.

On Aug 3oth, I spoke with someone to get a balance along with a third party, 3 way calling, for USA Mortgage and again I told that party to stop the calls. On the 21st I made a payment on line and called to get a new pay off and spoke to Brian, supervisor in collections, and he promised me the calls would stop. On the 23rd at 8AM CT, they called again. I returned the call and spoke with Anthony who told me he anotated the account that we are refinancing and the balance was going to be paid within 3 days and DO not call. Approx. 20-30 minutes later I recieved another call from the same #.

From the 21st through 9AM on the 23rd they called 11 times throughout the day. They even called 3 times on sunday. Under Fair Credit act only 3 calls a day.

My wife has medical issues and these calls are causing her panic attacks and other problems including breaking her sleep that she needs. These calls are raising my blood pressure to the boiling point especially since I spoke to the supervisor and he promised me the calls would stop.

Hank of Hewitt, TX August 18, 2008

Hank of Hewitt TX (08/18/08)
We were charged a late charge on our account for no reason that makes sense. The payment for July 2008 was not applied when it should have been applied. We have gotten harrassing letters regarding this issue even though we have called on several occasions about the issue. It is still not resolved as of this date. No one can explain why or how this happened. I want an explanation and I want the payment applied to the account. I also want a signed letter of apology sent to us with a full explanation of why the incident has occurred.

We stand to have our credit report affected by this and can not afford this. We have not contacted an attorney as of this date but that is our next step if we do not hear from [them].

It is now 8/2/08, and Beneficial still has not credited all the money to my acct from the credit counseling service! They are saying i am behind by 466.00 and that is not so.I am am up to date on all payments, plus the 174.00 they took out of my acct after asking then not to. They took it out and caused 3 checks to bounce costing me over 100.00 in NSF fees!

so, i went to bank, put stop-payment on them and closed out my acct! They will not get anymore money from me until they credit my acct for all payments that were sent to them. I dont care about ruining my credit anymore, theyve done a good job of it themselves! Will be seeing an attorney in future.

worried all the time. thought i was having a heart attack, sleepless nights and phone calls harrassing me all the time. Dont have any problems with other creditors except beneficial and im sick of what they are doing to us hard working people!

Chris of Easley, SC August 1, 2008

Chris of Easley SC (08/01/08)
We can not pay for a house we have because my wife was a ssaulted an can no longer work. We have renters in the house that can pay half of the house payment. We have tried three times to get hard ship and have been turned down for a different reason each time. This company will not work with you for any reason.

It has caused my wife to have depressive events where she can't get out of bed. We can't make payments on the house. The last person told us that the hard ship monthly payments would be more than our monthly payments. If hard ship payments were more than ones monthly payments why would anyone try for hardship.

Was with a credit counseling service, they took money out of my acct every month and paid it to Beneficial!! All of a sudden Beneficial is telling me Im behind 3 months payments. Credit service sent them proof it was paid and still they say Im behind 3 payments!! Now, after 5 months they still say Im behind and wont do anything to set their records straight. They want me to show proof that it was paid each month when in fact all the proof has been sent to them!!

Bad credit for one, sleepless nights, they are constantly calling my home demanding money that is not behind! Worried sick over this and now thinking of just filing for bankruptsy just to get peace of mind and out from under!!
