On January 15th, I went to Ace Cash express for a $170 payroll check. This is because I need the money and I do not have another place to cash it faster. The cashier after charge for the service, about $7, gave me the money and a $10 visa card. She called to activate the card and for an hour she weren't able to do it and said to go to the web site. I tried the website and did not work. I called many times to their customer service 1866-387-7363 and for more than an hour, no one answered. Today, after three weeks of trying, I finally activated the card but their customer service is frustrating. Thanks.
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I was standing in line there in the lobby along with 3 people ahead of me. We actually stood there approximately 30-35 minutes while the Ace employee (Marissa) let this person go to his car twice to get information. He came back in and she resumed assisting him. I made a comment that she needed help, so when it was my turn she asked me what I needed. I said I was there for a payday loan. She asked if I had had one before. I replied several and she told me to step aside and continued to wait on everyone else in line behind me and commented to one of the Hispanic customers in Spanish.
And they laughed, so I stood there another 20 minutes before I realized that she had no intentions of helping me. Therefore I had no alternative but to leave. This is the store on Hwy 6 and Cairnway in NW Houston. I have been coming here for a very long time and never had any problems until yesterday, 1/16/2012. I'm not sure if I will patronize this establishment again to be treated like a second class citizen who pays her taxes.

I have loaned there on Ace Cash on every 2 weeks loan. The loan amount was $525.72. I found myself in a bind on 12/16/2011 and told them I would come in on Jan. 3, 2012 to make a payment. Well, I was there and they wouldn't take the payment and send me to collections. That was what they told my boyfriend who went in to pay the loan like always. I had only 2 payments left and they knew I was on disability. They also assured me on 12/16/2011 that they would work with me, a person who tries to do the right thing and tells the truth.

I applied for a payday loan. I got approve and was told I could refinance for $75 and can pay down the loan instead of paying it all off at once. I called to finance my loan today, and they told me I couldn't due to the state I live in, but when they approve me for the loan they told me I could. Now I can't pay the loan in full.

On Saturday, November 26th I went to Ace Cash Express to repay a $500.00 loan. I submitted $545.00 for the loan that was $544.76 including fees. I told the clerk that I wanted to reloan the $500.00 which I did. The clerk reloaned me the same $500.00 that I had earlier repaid the previous loan with. The clerk counted me out the $500.00. I did the customary signing, took the $500.00, and left. On 12/10/11, I went to repay the loan and discovered that the loan papers said that I had borrowed $1000.00. Never in my life have I ever borrowed $1000.00 from Ace. And I have been dealing with them for several years. So, I had no reason to doubt that the repayment info would be anything other than $500.00.
Usually, when I borrow, there is a customer receipt with the amount borrowed that I sign one copy for the store and am given a copy for myself. This particular day as I was getting ready to sign, the clerk told me I did not have to sign that that was my copy. Also, I usually receive copies of the signed paperwork for my own records. I did not receive any this time, just a bunch of unsigned paperwork re: electronic payment. I believe that a fraud was perpetrated by the clerk at the store at that time and that I was the victim. I repaid the $544.00 that was originally borrowed and stated that I will not pay $500.00 for money that I never received. Why would I come to repay a loan with $544.00 if I knew that I had borrowed $1000.00? I brought the money to repay what I knew I had actually borrowed. The store clerk at that time needs to be investigated.

Although I know I owe money, and a little behind on payments, but I let them know when I will be able to pay. Ace Cash Express have called my phone over 10 times, as well as my work phone number, also more than 10 times, after I informed them not to call my work, and to take my work number off from their call list. They are harassing our receptionist, and now, I have my employer speaking to me about them calling there, and being rude so much daily. If I lose my job because of this, I will seek legal action, because we do have call times, and number of times they call daily, after I ask them to remove my work number.

Ace Cash Express did the same thing to us. They too put money into our account, and put my wife's name on it, stating we wanted four hundred dollars and sixty cents. We tried to call them, but they do not have a number at all. All they had on their website is a toll free that is no longer in use. And as for the email address, stating that customer can email them a problem, that too is not good, our bank told us. The number and email are a fraud and scam. There are non-working number and an email. They just put it out there for customer to buy what it says. We want you to know that both Ace Cash Express and Speedy Cash are a fraud and fake. We would like to file a lawsuit against this one and we want to file a complaint as well.

On December 4th, 2011, I went into Ace Cash Express off 1900 Oates Drive and 635-IH in Mesquite, TX to cash my check. There was a woman named Danielle there working. From the beginning to the end of my visit, she was acting very rudely towards me. When I first got there, she was handling a customer. When it was finally my turn, I stepped up to the window and I realized she was on the telephone. I didn't want to interrupt the telephone call because I thought she was helping another customer. Then finally, after a couple of minutes of waiting, she looked up at me and said in a rude voice, "What do you need?" I was surprised by the tone in her voice. I told her what I needed done. Instead of helping me, she became very obnoxious treating me like trash. She began yelling at me after I asked her what she said, because I couldn't hear her the first time.
She was an African American woman and I felt like she was being unfair to me because of my race which is Caucasian. I have never gotten this kind of treatment from other people in a professional business such as that one. She was in no way helpful towards me. I will not return to that location because of the unfair treatment and disrespect I received while I was there. I hope that you take my comments into consideration and take some action to get her to stop this unfair treatment in the future of dealing with customers.

I am a very dissatisfied customer who was lied to and deceived by the ACE Cash Express corporate office. On 11-9-2011, I contacted ACE Cash Express about a short term loan of $500.00. I informed the individual that I needed the money to make a purchase and would be paying the money back after selling the item. I was informed that the projected payoff would be due on 12/01/2011 and the cost would be $102 and change. I stated that I intended to pay the money back on 11/16/2011 (6 days later). I was informed that I would need to call the customer service number and would be given a payoff amount that would be pro-rated based upon the number of days I used the money, instead of the full finance charge.
Today on 11/16/2011 when I called to make payment, I was informed that I must pay the full finance charge amount, even though I am not keeping the money until the end of the month despite what I had been told by the representative from the corporate office on the 9th. I quite often purchase items with short length loans and resale then by making short term loans for different companies such as yours. This was the first time I used ACE and was the first time I was charged full interest for a loan which I paid off early. If this is the standard practice of ACE Cash Express, I can assure you that it will be the last. Also, I will do my best to ensure that the facts of the disservice ACE Cash Express has shown me are spread as widely as possible to ensure that my friends and business acquaintances do not suffer the same fate.

I had an advance due on 10/21/2011. I was unable to make it into office to pay in cash. They deposited my check and cleared bank on 10/25/2011. I called their office on 10/26/2011. I don't know who I spoke to and told her I had a bank statement showing that the check is cleared. Then I ask her if she could clear me out of system and state database so could rewrite. She told me she could not do that. I told her was a liar and she hung on me.
I called and requested to speak to a manager and she said was not there. I ask for district manager name and number. She said to hold on, then hung up on me again. Then I talked to their customer service number. She apologized and said to send the bank statement where it cleared. She called back, said could not clear out because account was in negative and might bounce. She said call my bank and get proof that it was not going to bounce.
When I called my bank they said the statement I sent said it posted and cleared because overdraft covered it. So I tried calling back on 10/27/2011, and got voicemail left message. I called customer service line again on 10/27/2011 and talked to someone else. She told me I'm paid in their system on 10/23/2011. I told her it is still showing that I owe them money in state database. She told me to take the bank statement to office to clear out of database. I did not take back because on 10/26/2011, the people at Ace said they could not clear me out of database. I am angry since in the database, it is still showing I owe money and no one will take me off. I cannot go anywhere else to get a loan until I get off from the database. They will not give me district manager's info.

I went in a store to pay the monthly note of $85.00, for a payday loan. The loan was due on 10/3/11 but I did not have the total amount on that date. Rather than accept the $85.00, I was told that the entire balance was now due. I would still like to repay the loan, but I do not have $500 in any account nor will I have saved that much for over the next 4-5 months. I would like to continue making the monthly notes due. I would not have needed a payday loan, had I not over extended my repayments. Currently, I am paying over $1,603 in loans and credit cards. This does not leave me with a surplus of $500 at anytime, in the month.

ACE Cash Express has an online service for obtaining a loan. I requested a loan for $325, which I obtained at the ACE Express on Blanco Road in San Antonio. When a payment for $98.75 was due, I attempted to pay it on the 3rd since that is when I would get my disability check. I attempted to make a payment online. It gave me loan for $423.75. I called and the lady on the phone said that it was corrected. Then, we made an arrangement to make my payments on the 6th. She neglected to tell me that the payment will be due on the 2nd, when I was supposed to get my check on the 3rd. This made no sense at all. They payment was ultimately taken from my Coastal Community Teachers Credit Union in Corpus Christi, of which I am now being charged $500 in charges ($25.00 each).

I paid my DirecTV bill in the Ace Cash Express store and they told me it will be $5.00 to do so, and so I gave them $86.38. I asked them when it should be there and they said by the end of the day. It's going on two weeks and DirecTV said they haven't received the payment. I got the receipt and called the store where I paid my bill and they said they couldn't tell me anything. They said that once I leave the store, that's it. I just want to know where they sent my money at.

I paid my loan off on December 6, 2010. Final payment was scheduled for Dec. 10, 2010. Rude worker (Gwen) charged me $1203.83 as the pay-off balance. I asked why I was not paying $1000 (my loan request) since I was paying my loan off early. Her comment was that I have had the loan since October. This is true. But, I have been paying the interest each payday. So what if I've had the loan since October. I was told I had 5 paydays before final payment (I wasn't given a contract at signing. Gwen said I didn't need one.). Aside from this, she is extremely rude, condescending, and acts as though she does not want to be there. Well, she needs to quit if she hates her job that much.
The first day I went there, I overheard her and another worker talking about a young man who had come back for another loan. Well, I thought that was the way your company works. You pay the loan in full after so many weeks; then, you can request another loan. I did not find it funny the way she and her co-worker did. Sorry I got sidetracked, but I still want to know why I was charged an extra $203.83 when I made my final payment on December 6, 2010 (four whole days before due date). I do not plan to ever go back to that location. Gwen's attitude, the extremely long lines, and their lack of supplies (several times I had to make my payments several days later because they had no paperwork to accept loan interest payments) are all reasons I will never go back to that location again.

For all of you that haven't noticed, Ace Cash Express is a hard money lender. Most of the complaints are by people that have defaulted on a loan. Now when you don't pay, do you think the collections department is going to call you up, ask about the kids and when's your next vacation? No. Don't think so. Do think they're just going to say, "Oh yeah, pay whenever." No. Ace would be out of business. There's one person on here saying they were getting harassed at work. Guarantee if this person had the decency to set up payment arrangements or at least communicate with the collections department, they would not be getting calls at work. Duh! People must have half a brain to get on here and complain pretty much about them not paying there bills.
It's like you feel entitled to it. No, you're not. Quit your complaining, act like adults and pay your bills. You're embarrassing yourselves. To the guy that used to work for the company, It's 2 cards a day, not 3. You're right, you don't get a lunch break. You get a paid lunch! You knew before starting that you were going to have to work in there and not being able to leave for 10, 11 or 12 hours. It's not a hard job. Period.

I have a pay day loan. I was unable to pay back. The company ACE continues to call my work. They have now left messages for my supervisor. I have all the phone messages recorded including my supervisor's message. I have now had to explain my financial situation with my employer. I continue to get harassing and threatening phone calls at work. I am not only humiliated and embarrassed but I'm a nervous wreck, finding it difficult to control my shaking and having serious stomach issues due to the threatening phone calls.

Hi, my name is Elizabeth. I worked for Ace last year. I was not treated the way a manager should treat an employee. My mom was told she had breast cancer out in California. So, I'm an only daughter. I asked my manager for 2 weeks off so I could fly out to California to meet with my mother. I was denied that permission, so I gave my 2-week notice.
For me, it was important to be with my mother when she needed me the most. For my bad luck, my manager did not give my 2-week notice and never told my DM about it. So now that I'm trying to get my job back at Ace, I am no longer a rehired employee. Thanks to my manager that didn't report my 2-week notice. I'm a single mother and my mother passed away this year. So, I really need my job back. I really never told my DM about my manager leaving work and letting me there alone when I was just a newly hired employee. She would always threaten me that she could fire me if I said something. But since I really needed the job, I kept it to myself as well. She would get money from the register then she would put it back the next day. For me, that was not okay. But I never said anything. For all those people reading this, never stay quiet on a situation like mine. Tell someone about it. Thanks for reading this. God bless everyone.

I am a former employee with Ace Cash Express and what goes on inside is just as bad as what happens outside. First, we were forced to sell the netspend prepaid debit cards. We are told to lie to customers in order to get them to buy one and we had constant complaints from customers about their cards. We are told that if we don't sell enough everyday (the current amount as of this writing is 3 a day) then we will be terminated on the spot.
I personally believe in the practice of treat your customer right and with respect and they will be a repeat customer. Also, we are not given any lunch breaks; we are told to stay behind our glass walls and work the store the average work day is between ten and twelve hours a day. And finally, no store has an emergency fire escape for our own safety. When I brought this to parties' attention, I was told not to worry about it.
So for everybody reading this, there are other companies out ther with better rates that will treat you with the respect you deserve. Please keep in mind if an employee gets treated like dirt in that company, how do you think they're going to treat the customer.

Okay! I have no clue what is going on here, but I was checking my account tonight and this company has deposited money in my account without my consent! I was checking out different places to get a loan but I never gave these people the consent to do this. Now I read that this company apparently does this to a lot of people. I will be on this first thing in the morning!

Just a heads up to all of you that have payday loans with Ace. Did you ever compare their interest rate chart with other internet loan companies? Let me tell you, it's important that you do, They are scamming you. You know when something just doesn't sound right and you check around, and find out it's not. I am paying $205 for a loan for $675 at 792.05% interest. So I started checking out other competitors finance charge sheets. If I were to take out $700, keep in mind more money at 842.05%, this is according to three other companies.
You can check others on your own if you wish, then I would only pay $177.88 per payday, a difference of $30 per additional payday. So believe me, I would check if I were you and see how bad your getting ripped off. They think people won't check and I usually don't but I"m telling you, you could be really paying more then you should on the interest and making this company really really rich. A few customers added to a few extra fees is a whole lot of money.

On December 1, 2009, I paid off a pay day loan I received in November. We received our checks early and I paid them two days early. After I paid them, I was asked if I wanted a roll-over loan for December, I agreed and they granted the loan even though I am a monthly recipient of Social Security Disability and have been since I began my relationship with this organization over two years ago. The store clerk informed me that the computer would only go until the 31st of December 2009, due to my coming in early. I stated to her that I only got paid on the 3rd of every month. They were given updated bank statements every six months as requested.
At no time did the clerk state to me that she was unable to process this loan because of the 30 day loan policy limit. I told her that I could not pay a loan back on the 31st, because my pay day was only on the 3rd. After reviewing my file, she then agreed to give me until the 4th of January, 2010 to pay the loan. I stated to her that I would be there on the 3rd of January, 2010. I was there on the 3rd, only to be told that they had already processed my check on the 31st and they would not be able to hold the check until the 4th as originally stated. My bank received the check early and charged me numerous fees which amounted to hundreds of dollars which I am still paying. I have filed a civil claim for the fees that I had to pay. I am formally asking a judge to arbitrate this matter which is scheduled for the 3rd of August, 2010.

I admitted default on payday loan; I asked for extension for a week and couldn't do it. I got sick and was out of work for a little while, and spoke to two people who were very understanding. But at the time, they would not let me send what I could to start paying it off. Instead Ms Ellis said, "No! We will send the check through the bank" over and over and I explained to her if she did that, it would be longer for me to pay it off as each time sent through would be $29.00 each and that could be the money sent to them to pay them off as soon as possible.
She said exactly," No! We will just show you how we will get our money", and I hung up on her. Today, she called back using 15 different phone numbers and names. When I get on the phone, it is Ms Ellis and one time I called back they were laughing and said, "Oh yeah, we got her." I asked for who ever this was not to call this number; she then said, "I will call you till you pay us even if I call every 5mins." I work at night so if I can't sleep, the work could get hurt anyway. I want to pay this off but they have added 10% more on to it. I do not make that kind of money; I would love to make a payment arrangement I can afford and pay it off. They have to stop harassing me. I am very nervous person. If anyone knows what I can do to stop this, please help me. Thank you.

This person, Charlie, calls and says that I took out a payday loan through Ace Cash Express. I never heard of this place and never took out this loan either. They need to stop calling me on this, and by the way, they also called me on a payday loan for advance payday loan, and I didn't do that one either. This all must be a scam! Quit calling or I will be forced to call the police on them, just like they threatened me!

I admit I defaulted on my payday loan from them. I attempted to make arrangements to pay them back. But they will not except my money. They want it all in full and to re-advance with their services. I absolutely cannot do that. They harass me at work on a daily basis. I have told them that they can not contact my work. They continue to do so. I am on the verge of losing my job due to the harassing phone calls. I want to repay the money but they will not work with me. They were very rude on the phone threatening me that I am facing harsh consequences and they had information that I did not give them. They knew my grandmothers name and my mother-in-laws name. I told them i had fifty dollars for them and they said that I was basically dumb and that a multi-million dollar company will not accept my fifty dollars.

a law firm representing them is suing me for 700 some odd dollars for a payday loan it says i made with them in 2007 for 300 dollars

I had gotten a payday loan wwith ace cash express and i have gotten them before an i have always paid them back , this time i was not able to pay them back and i have expressed that to them but now all they do is call my work place everyday and i am worried that i might lose my job because when they ask for me they tell the person answering the phone what they are calling for which i believe is wrong of them to tell my problems to strangers .
they are rude when you speak with i have told them and told them that they can not call me at work and when i let them know that they can speak with my mother and she can let them know when we are able to pay it back all they do is yell and tell me that they can't do that because but they talk to her when they call our house . i told the last lady i spoke that they couldnt keep calling me at work and if they did i was going to get an attorneyand she told me "to do what i have to do" but they were going to call my job every day until i paid them back i am so tired of it and i wish i had the money to pay them back , but , i dont !! right now .

I took out aloan havent been able to pay for they have harrased me at work told me i was going to go to jail according to them had a warrant and they have been calling my work place non stop harrasing me i donot want to et fired cause of them. I do work for the governemnt and if it dont stop im gonna file a lawsuit for harrasment

I made a car payment to drivetime on 6/11/2010, the lady taking me payment was texting on her personal phone while she was taking my payment, come Monday I get a call from drivetime saying they have not received my payment. This is the 4th time I make a drivetime payment at ace and have not had this problem until now. The woman needs to watch what shes doing unstead of being on the phone texting.

I got behind on some payday loans so am going to CCCS Nebraska, everyone I called except Ace and AAA Payday have been great. But Ace called me at work, tried to intimidate me, and insisted I would have to pay it off immediatley. Finally one rep that called me at work, said I could pay $100 and then cb to schedule next payment, paid them on Thursday night, called me Saturday am threatening to garnish my pay, take the stop off the check, ruin my bank acct etc.

antonite was very rude she claimed her computer was down and didn't know if it would come back up and then she said it would be 80.00 to cash my check!! I have been cashing this same check for months there and it was never 80.00. She is very very rude to your customers and gives ace a bad name.

I had a money order stolen from my apt complex and the money order was somehow altered and forged and cashed at their location, they refused to give me any information or the person last name I spoke with... They refused to let me see the actual money order... the name that was used was obviously fake and they would not work with me...how do I deal with this? Lost of rent... possible eviction.

I used my NetSpend credit card only a couple of times before it was hacked by someone in Romania. I contacted ACE/ NetSpend several times and reported the card stolen. NetSpend had the opportunity to block the unauthorized charge of $157.53, but they ignored the problem. I contacted the business in Romania and opened a dispute with NetSpend to recover the funds. They have not responded, and I suspect they will not. Ace Cash Express/NetSpend does not care about their customers, and their security could probably be hacked by a third-grader. If you value your money and your personal information, steer clear of ACE Cash Express/NetSpend.

Ace cashed my check after I filled bankruptcy. That was a violation of the Federal Court order and I need my money back. What can I do?

My husband and I have borrowed money from them three times now. We paid the first two completely off. And we had to borrow a third loan to help get a car. The amount was for $1000. We intended to pay them the following paycheck, but I've had to go into the hospital and have back surgery, so we were unable to pay them on the due date.
They have been calling every single day, threatening us and they have been extremely rude. This last phone call, the woman threatened my husband w/ lawsuit or something and told him that he needed to be in better control of his finances and bills and Ace came first. Excuse me, but our mortgage and utilities come first, and that is none of her business. She began raising her voice to my husband and threatening him if we did not pay.
I am having to have another surgery this Thursday and we cannot pay them right now. Every time they call, they threaten us and are extremely rude. Even though we have told them the reasons behind us not being able to pay, they still continue to harass us. And this latest phone call was the icing on the cake. How can we stop them from doing this to us? We just don't have the money right now.

Well. I had took out a loan and I wasn't able pay whole amount due. So I tried make arrangements. They told me to pay them and than come in store, take out another one. I didn't want to take out another loan. They sent it to corporate and they started harassing me and calling my job threatening to garnish my check, which they can't do. I tried set up an arrangement but Ms. J won't accept and she has a nasty disposition. I just want to pay every time I get paid and want them to stop harassing me. I hope they get closed down.

I took a payday loan out on the 19th of December. Was not due to make a payment on it until January. Well being that I am pregnant and having medical issues, I fell behind on my payments, someone called from their office, I made an arrangement to start making payments again on 1/29/2010. Well, unfortunately I stayed pretty sick and missed a lot of work. I received nothing in the mail about the loan going into collections. Well while missing all this work, my account with my bank was forced closed for lack of funds to keep it open.
So then I start getting these calls from a 972-550-5000 constantly, saying this your case manager and this is your case # etc, etc. and well, when I called her and told her I could make payment arrangements, she said they can't except payment arrangements that I have to pay 80% by this such and such date this is now a Bad Check Case. I'm like, "Look, I can make payments, I just can't pay all of it right now." She still says, "No, you cannot." Now, she said I'm not willing to work with them. If I'm telling you that I can make payment arrangements, how am I not working with you. I regret even doing this as well, I didn't write a bad check, the bank closed my account out before money could even be deposited. I'm pregnant, having medical issues. Come on. I'm agreeing to making payments.

I unfortunately took a loan from them as I was in need to take care of my medical bills. I owe them $350 and now they are asking for $600.

They call me every day in regards to the debt owed. I have told them numerous times to stop calling my work number and call my personal phone number. They tell me that unless I get fired or no longer work there, I will continue receiving the calls. They have contacted my supervisor to discuss my case and that is a violation of my privacy and has nothing to do with my job. The people are always very rude and threatened that they will send the account to collections and I have told them on many occasions that it was fine. The harassment has gotten to the point when all my co-workers know my business as they call and question anyone that answers the phone. My boss was very upset at the fact that they called her for something not related to my work.

They have continuously called my mothers house after being told do not call and gave her personal information, telling her I owe and they are going to file a case if I don't call in. When I called, they would not state the name of the complain just that case manager Rubio etc and hung up when I asked what company. They had my cell phone number and would never call. Finally, they called my mom and left her a number for me to call back. When I called in in the beginning of Feb, I spoke with a someone and setup arrangement to pay by Feb. 26th if I receive a check I'm waiting on. The man told me I had to have it paid by 3pm or I can pay the money out of my check and re-loan. I advised him I do not want to re-loan. I want it paid of. He said it has to be paid or they will file a case.
I received a call on Feb. 25th at 12:21pm from a different man that did not id himself but said he was my case manager. He said he was calling to make sure I was paying by 3pm the 26th. I advised him I speak with someone and told him I am waiting on a check and if I receive it tomorrow, I will pay the loan off. He said that I get paid so I better pay it off. I advise him I don't have enough with other expenses until I receive that check. He said I better pay the money tomorrow by 9am or he will call my job and speak with management for my demographics and HR. I advise him do not call my job. He has no reason to call and verify demographics because I have updated my address and he has spoken with me. He said he won't call unless I don't pay and I stated again DNC my place of employment.
He continued to threaten me and tell me I better pay him his money and that he was removing my payment arrangements. I told him I setup the arrangements with someone else and they are for tomorrow and if I have any trouble, I will call back in tomorrow. He continued to threaten me saying he will file charges for me writing a bad check and will do what he deems necessary. I asked to speak with the other gentlemen that I made the arrangements with and he said no he is my case manager. I asked for a manager and he said I will put you on with him but he will be worse then I am but never put him on and continued with the threats. I finally hung up on him.
He called again on Feb 26th at 2:30pm. I missed the call and called right back at 2:31pm and asked for me. When I asked who it was, he said it's your case manager, are you going to pay today and I hung up on him. I received a voicemail at Friday 2:33pm saying that he received a return call on his voicemail from my supervisor Ms. ** and he was calling to see if I took care of the matter before he called me back. He said I have been warned of the circumstances with no regard he will be caulking her back. I have the voicemail saved. He was told DNC my supervisor, he has no reason to call her. I have already updated my information with them and have yet to receive debt validation. I have answered their calls and tried to make arrangements with them but will not be threatened and mistreated.

I did my taxes with Jackson Hewitt (I do not recommend using them and have placed a Consumer Complaint against them) and was given an ACE Cash card for my tax return. I was told by Jackson Hewitt that the card was ready and so I went there at 1:45 pm to pick it up and it was activated, and at 2:14 pm the same day, I was told that the card had only a $9.50 balance (it was $10.00, but they charged 50 cents to tell me that). Apparently, the card was activated 3 days prior to it being ready and so the money went back to the originator.
This card should have had my full tax return amount on it! I was directed to call a number which put me in contact with a customer specialist in India! This conversation went in circles, and needless to say, I still do not have my tax return and now I have to contact the IRS! Not to mention, this place charges every time I use the card when Jackson Hewitt told me that there would be no charges and I could take the full amount. ACE Cash charges a fee for taking up to $400.00 out per day, and anything over has a 2% charge. So, basically, on top of the fee that I paid Jackson Hewitt to do my taxes, I have to pay fees to get my tax return!

We were on vacation over the weekend and had some unexpected car troubles. This was two weeks from my payday so I called Ace to get a loan to cover the costs of the repairs and prevent an overdraft in my bank. Due to the fact that Monday was a bank holiday, I was told that a direct deposit would be in my account on Wednesday. So Wednesday comes and no deposit. I did however end up with an overdraft for the cost of the repairs that I was intending to cover with the loan. I called Ace and explained the situation. I was rather rudely advised that no one at the company promised me that the money would be there on Wednesday. I objected and stated that I was in fact told by the company rep that it would indeed be there on that day. I was then advised that I could either cancel the loan or have it deposited on Thursday. I replied that the whole purpose of the loan was to prevent an overdraft that had already occurred.
The rep then told me that it was my problem, not hers and I had to tell her that I wanted the loan canceled. I asked for an explanation as to why my deposit was not made on the day quoted and I was advised that since Monday was a holiday, everything was a day late. I told the rep that the holiday was discussed at the time of the loan and I was advised it would be in on Wednesday instead of Tuesday due to the holiday. Again, she told me that no one promised me it would be to which I once again objected that I was in fact advised that it absolutely would be.
In short, the company did not want to accept any responsibility for a simple error and I was treated badly for expecting them to do so. It would have been nice if they would have offered to have the original person call me back with an apology. At least then I would know that someone, somewhere in the company was taking responsibility for misrepresenting the time frame in which they could deliver their services. Instead, they refused to accept the fact that a promise was made by an authorized representative on their behalf and they simply called me a liar and treated me in a second rate fashion. I now have to pay out of pocket for their incompetence.

This company has called me at work repeatedly after receiving a letter from my attorney. They've asked for my supervisor, my HR department, my CEO, and my CFO, all of which I have documented by the switchboard. This is a clear violation of Texas Penal Code 42.07 regarding harassment. My husband and I have had enough.

They proclaim that they are in Texas, I do not know. But I am located in Omaha, NE. I had some financial difficulties and have been trying to make arrangements with them in regards to my Payday loan and they will not accept it. They want me to pay in full and then keep saying that I will be eligible to rewrite. I do not want to rewrite. I just want to pay it off. These people are very rude and intolerable. This business should be shut down. I am so stressed my hair is falling out due to them not agreeing to stop calling me at work 3-4 times back to back until I answer.

I recieved a phone call at my place of employment from an indivisual named Wylee stating he was calling on behalf of Ace Cash Express in regards to a delinquent balance I had for a $300.00 personal loan. I let "Wylee" know recently I have been facing financial hardships and have not been able to financially resolve the matter. I asked if I would be able to work out some type of payment plan but was told that was no longer an option. I requested nicely that he please no longer contact my place of employment regarding personal matters. The individual then became very agressive stating that at this point "I have no right to make any type of requests" and was ready to proceed a referral to the district attorneys office and threatened to call my employer and make them aware of my financial situation.

I took out a payday loan from this company. Due to circumstances beyond my control I have become delinquent on the payments. Today I received a phone call from this number that they had a check drawn on my bank account for $246.00 that had been returned by my bank. I never wrote such a check, and my bank assures me that no check in that amount has been presented for payment or returned by my bank. These people are calling my relatives and friends regarding this matter in flagrant disregard of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I expect to be able to clear the matter up within ten days, I have just had enough illegal harassment from these people.

so as soon as my deposit was in, I went to my bank withdrew the money and took it to the store but before I paid, I had the clerk call to verify that they did not run the check through again and L. assured me that the check was not presented again and I had checked my account as well. The very next day, she ran it through making me homeless.
But the main point was after I found out that the check did not go through the first time, I called them to let them know and even after telling them that they kept hitting my account with Teleserv Fees that came out to be approximately $100 or more costing them $25 each time. I realize that I had made a mistake in not writing down a transaction and was willing to make good on my debt and letting them know she was rude to me and here I am trying to make good on my debt and cooperating with them but she was nasty to me.
I also tried talking with another collections representative thinking it was just her being nasty, but he was just as rude and had no concern that there was nothing I could do until my deposit went in and he threatened me. I told them the date my dd would be in and planned on paying them at that time, but even after telling them this they kept harassing me making threats and increasing a negative balance in my account. It seems illegal to do this it's like running the check through 8 times or more. I feel what they did was illegal and I have proof that they did this.

I have recently been laid off and was contacted by a female from corp. stating that I needed to make a pymnt or else they will proceed with legal actions. Now remind you I had renewed the loan 4times. I stated to the lady about my status and that I can pay $50 and would gradually pay more once I received my unemployment. The female stated that wasnt enough and that I had to pay it off and reborrow the money.I had informed her that I didnt have such money, and was told they dont offer payment arrangements and will prosecute me. Til now I have been threaten and harrassed by this company.

03/23/09 I got a phone call on my cell from a MR. J stating that I needed to contact him by 11AM the next day or h was going to take action on my account or I need to contact a lawyer. This call upset me because I did not know what was going on. I called the number that he called me from and I asked for a MR.J, I got transfered to a Mr.S that said I should get in contact with a lawyer and that I should have handled my responsibilities and I was grown enough to get a payday loan so I should be grown enough to deal with what is going to happen next. My phone signal faded so I called him back.
Mr. S said why am I calling back, called me incompetent and that I had no sense, telling me I lied on my application saying I did not have another loan and I did,I told him I did not know what he was taking about, he asked if I was stupid. He also said they were going too file charges for m writing a bad check and hung up on me. I called back and spoke with girl and was trying to make complaint about Mr. S she said why do I keep talking about Mr. S, I said because he was rude.
So a few hours later I get a call from my mother, these people called my mother home threatening me and talking about they were going to arrest me. I did not give them my moms number. and they almost gave my mom a hear attack. This was left by Mr. J. I called and left Mr. J a message stating that i wanted t talk to him about a payment arrangement before my mother called.
When Mr. J called me back the next day I was heated. I had already called a lawyers office, So he asked why I did not pay the loan off I explained to him that they are braking laws and he said no that is not true and all of their conversations were recorded. I said okay since all your conversations are recorded I need a copy of the convocation I had with Mr.S and a copy of the original loan so i can pass them to my lawyer because I already saved the other two messages that he left me and I am going to court. l also told him I will pay off the loan in payments and I will walk it in. That was 3 weeks ago I have not heard from them. I have not gotten a lawyer yet, i just asked what to do.

I owe 537.00 to Ace. I told a Mr. Lewis that I would pay $337.00 on 03/25/2009. I could not pay that amount I paid $150.00 on 03/26/2009. I told him that was all Ii could borrow. We have been out of work for 6 months He CALL AND SAID HE WOULD ISSUE A WARRANT FOR MY ARREST, HE CALL the references listed on my application. They call me very upset. I worked in collections several years ago, I thought the only reason you would contact references if you could not get in contact with your client.
I called and asked him why was he contacting my references, he said he wanted to make sure he had the right person. I am doing the best I CAN. HE HAS THREATENED ME TO THE POINT I am under doctor care. I have always returned Mr. Lewis phone calls and tried to explain my situation. I have always paid my bills until recently. The persons name I used on the application rec'd these call at work, which was very upsetting to them.

i went to this store on 2/07/09 to cash a check and the check amount was $3963.00 tha teller who was working that day gave to only $2693.00 i know was my mistake too becouse i forgot to count the money in the store,i have talked to this girl but she refuse to fix the problem.

I ended up with a payment plan for 6 payments to pay off my payday loan. I made the first payment, but couldn't make any others due to financial circumstance. My car was (and is) costing money to keep it running, finally the fuel pump went out with an estimated 800.00 to fix, and I had to make a choice whether to pay the loan or fix my sole means of transportation, single mom with one job.
I have spoken with numerous representatives from ACE, explaining my situation and have been met with nothing but rudeness and hang ups. I've recieved calls from several different numbers. One rep called me at work on 12/12/08 and refused to call me later at home when i told him that I could not take the call at work. Then he hung up on me. I notified ACE in writing via fax on 12/12/08 to cease communication at any and all phone numbers and kept the confirmation. I have still continued to recieve phone calls everyday since.
I've also filed a consumer complaint with the Colorado Attorney General's Office. I returned a phone call this morning and spoke with Regina, who claimed to be a supervisor and flat out refused to put her own supervisor on the phone. She then proceeded to tell me that I had until the 31st to pay the loan or they would move forward. To which my reply was that the representative I spoke with last month told me the same thing and to go ahead.
Then I was a deadbeat and I needed to stop calling and just pay it, that they didn't care about my situation, she was sure I had enjoyed the money when I took it. I ended up hanging up and calling back to speak with a real supervisor, Josh. He asked me to refax the letter I had written to his attention, agreed that I should not have had to put up with such rudeness and assured me that it would be taken care of on reciept.

As one can guess, it was not fine, nor ok. I received a call the day before the due date of 07/30/08. I spoke with a woman, told her I would be in on the 31st and considered the matter closed. On the 30th I received another courtesy call and again I told the lady I would be in on the 31st to make a payment. On the afternoon of 07/31/08, I went to pay on the loan. I discovered they had processed the check to be debited on my account. You can imagine how unhappy I was at this. I had intended on paying half the amount back, then paying the remainder on my next pay date which I did not think would be a problem considering Ace will allow you to pay the interest on the loan, plus an additional amount about 3 times in essence extending the loan over 4 of your pay periods, and on the 4th time, you have to pay the remaining balance- (as I said I have done this a few times).
After quite a few phone calls to Corporate, the General Manager, and the Area Manager explaining what had happened, I was basically told too bad. It seems that in the time I had taken out my loan on July 15th, they had partnered with another underwriter of their loans and the new company did not allow extensions. So their argument was, I should not have signed a legal binding document if the information was incorrect (believe me in the future if there is the slightest typo on something I will not sign, I dont care if it is an extra period). I was then told I could wait 10 days and take out another loan, or I could make a payment for the full amount of the default loan and they would approve me for another loan. Of Course, since I could not wait the 10 days because I had other bill payments that would be posting to my account, and I knew this would seriously overdraft my account if they took the full amount. I paid the full amount and took out another loan. I then went to my bank and made the deposit and asked them to decline payment for the check Ace had submitted I thought everything was taken care of and I should have been FINE.
Again, there was that word FINE. Anyway, the next morning I went to a local grocery store to make a purchase, but my check card was declined. Upon checking with my bank I learned my account was seriously overdrawn. It turns out the check Ace had submitted was electronic, so there was no way to decline the payment in the traditional sense that one would with a paper check. I ended up having to contact the bank and report the charge as unauthorized. The bank credited me and I thought everything would be FINE. I neglected to take into account that the bank had returned a few checks and it turns out the companies I wrote the checks to, were not pleased with them being returned unpaid.
So began the charge backs from other companies to my account, and my account was once again overdrawn. This in it self caused a problem, because it means that when the pay back date for the loan I had taken out became due, which was 08/15/08, I had no money left to pay back the loan. I spoke with an Associate in the store, (it was the same lady who had processed my original loan) and she offered to put me on a payment plan. I made payments the best I could, but I had fallen into a serious debt situation with what had occurred. I did not pay anything on the loan for the month of October. On our around Oct 30th, I received a call from an Associate at the corporate office stating the full amount was due. I told the Associate I could not pay out the balance but I could try to make a payment on the account around Nov 15th, she told me that was not good enough. I explained to her what had happened, and again told her I would try to make a payment on 11/15/08, and that pretty much ended the phone conversation. When the time arrived I had nothing left to pay Ace nor did I have enough left to pay on November 30th.It was on 12/05/08, I received a call at work form another Associate. He told me I had until 3 pm to make arrangements with them to pay the full amount or he would proceed with filing some sort of case. He then proceeded to tell me he would call my boss and this could become embarrassing for me if I did not agree to pay the full amount. I told him I could not make any sort of real payment at most it would be about, $50 to $100 dollars, but that would not be until Dec 15th. He then told me I could always pay off the amount and take out the loan again; I laughed and told him it would be a very cold day. The Associate continued on about how this could turn out bad for me and that I was refusing to pay. I then explained to him what had occurred, he brushed this off and again told me I had until 3 pm to make some sort of arrangement and the call ended.
About 5 minutes later my boss came into my office stating he had received a call. Turns out it was the Associate who had contacted me (I will just call him Bill). It seems that Bill did call my boss, but Bill could not divulge why he was calling. My boss told me he had received a call from Bill and that Bill had told my boss, that I needed to contact him regarding an issue, and he gave my boss a case number. At that point, I lost all the composure I had. I called Bill and reminded him that I live in TX and not to call my place of employment again (in TX debt collector cannot call your place of employment once you ask them not to. There is a bit more to it, but I will not go into that now) and that if he thought his little stunt was going to embarrass me he was sadly mistaken. I then told Bill he could proceed with whatever he had planed.I work closely with my companys Accounting Department, so I know basically what can and cannot be done. I know that Ace Cash Express can file a civil suit against me, and I know I will have to deal with that when or if it happens. But, I refuse to be bullied by someone who made the mistake that cost me so much financially. I am sure I could argue the point that they breached the original contract and pursue other avenues, but I will not. When I finish with the other legal matter I am dealing with, which is the reason I took out the loan; I will pay Ace and go on with my life, with a serious lesson learned. I just want to say to anyone if you do not have to deal with Ace Cash Express, please do not.

I was denied a payday loan because I was told that someone else used my address and phone number and have not paid them. I was even told the person name by them. This person don't live at my address. Even though it was not me, I am being held accountable for what that did. All my bills are in my name for this address. So I was told that I can't write a check until this person pay them.

I have a payday loan with this company and they have been refusing to allow me to make payments of the loans and making threats to pursue legal action. Mr. also threatened to run my social security number and contact my employer even though i've stated that i could not receive personal calls at work. Mr. refused to allow me to make payment arrangements and told me that i needed to seek legal advise, and good luck to me because i was gonna need it.
I recently received a letter threatening to pursue all legal remedies, and a garnishment of my wages. I've spoken also with a female named Mrs. who told me to keep my money as opposed to making payments and seek legal advice then hung up the phone.
I am disturbed by these type of threatening actions, when indeed i tried to settle this debt for which i've probably already paid back the original amount borrowed. What can i do?

I have a payday advance with Ace America's Cash Advance and was paying them faithfully each pay period, i probably paid back twice the amount borrowed or near it. The first time i was unable to pay them back was a result of my purse being stolen while at the movies which set me back because i had other bills due as well. When i contacted them to let them know the situation and to make payment arrangements they told me the minimum amount they would accept. I told them i couldnt afford to make the minimum they quoted me, but could afford to make $100.00 payments. They refused the $100.00 payments, and told me that i would continue to get phone calls. The next encounter i forgot the female's name, but i told her i was in the process of trying to see if i could borrow the money and she rudely stated that i wasnt trying to do anything.
After these conversations i felt that they were not trying to work with me, just being rude. The continued to receive phone calls various times each day including Sundays, however i didnt respond because of the lack of respect i was given during the prior calls. I received a phone call from Mrs. Shed ext#7750 on Aug. 21, 2008, she left a message on my voicemail stating that it was apparent i didnt want to handle the situation voluntarily and she would be moving forward, and ended it with good luck. I was upset by the message because it was like she was hinting toward a threat, when in fact i did try to settle my account on my own but they refused the amount which i could afford to pay, and was unprofessional/rude in the process.
I called back on Aug. 27, 2008 and left a message, she didnt call me back so i called her again on Aug. 29, 2008. Upon speaking with her i asked her how can i settle my account, she asked why i waited to call her back and i told her about the other attempts in which i tried to pay on my account and the rude encounters. Mrs. Shed never apologized for her co-worker's behavior but asked me what could i pay today. I told her i could pay $50 today, but if she could wait until Wed. Sept 3, 08 i could pay $125. She didnt agree to this and started talking about calling my job to verify my employment status, and i told her that at my job i couldnt receive phone calls.
She said that they would still call and say where they were calling from, i told her i thought that was against my privacy and why would she have to call my job if i was trying to make arrangements once again to pay. At this time she began to raise her voice talking with an attitude and being rude. She told me that i needed to seek advice, keep my $50, and come up with the total amount due of $690 by today in a threatening tone and then HUNG the phone up on me!
I called back and spoke with a female and told her i had just been hung up on and was going to call consumer affairs because of the way i was treated while trying to settle my account and she placed me on hold. Mrs. Shed picked up the line and said rudely i needed to tell them meaning consumer affairs that my checks came back NSF. I'm upset with the disrespect, rudeness and lack of professionalism i had to encounter while trying to pay and settle this debt.

This person attempting to pressure me in reloaning monies. I recieved pay day loans and simply got into a trap and had to reloan over and over again. I did lose my job and was unable to pay. I recieved a call from a young man threatening to file a case on me for a bad check. I feel this needs to be explained to customers verbally and in writing prior to getting a loan.
If you get in a bind and are unable to pay it back or make payment arrangements they force you to either reloan again or continue in an endless cycle. They do not allow you terms that you can afford. You are forced to continue to stay in debt. The charges to get the loan are so much that they force you to stay in this never ending cycle of debt.
Repaying this loan kept me in debt, unable to purchase household items, having to go out and get loans from other payday companies in order to pay them off. The cycle in non-ending and it also causes a loss of dignity and respect.

I purchased a cell from the company Roxi Miblie on 5/31/08 from Ace Cash Express. When I recently tried to activate my cell phone the phone had no battery in the package and I was told the phone has already been activated four months prior to that date. I called the Ace Cash Express because that was the place I received the phone and they told me there was nothing I can do. There were no refunds or replacement phones. I didnt' receive any appropriate service and my money that I lost due to the purchasing that phone.

I consolidated my Payday loans (I had 9 of them), and this company refuses to work with them. I have offered to make a small ($20) payment, and he said it was unacceptable and accused me of liking to get money free, and accused me of writing a bad check (it wasn't bad at the time i gave them the unsigned, unwritten check). I closed the account after I consolidated and left them a message.
I even wrote them a letter stating not to call me at work, which he did. He called 3 people at my work, my sister, my mom and harrassed me when I called and told him not to call. It really put a stress on me, considering my job ends at the end of this month, and my husband is up north with my kids and he has yet to find a job.
I am stressed, I can't sleep well, my husband and I get in arguments over it, all when I am trying to make it better. I am totally embarrassed for him calling me at work AND talking with our HR person & my boss.
