21st Century Legal Services

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I was approached by this legal service offering me help with my mortgage, a loan modification. They told me it was a part of Obama's bail-out for homeowners. I agreed and signed contracts with them. I made payments to them for 6 months. During this process, I signed a disclaimer notice for them being a third party with my mortgage company. They advised me not to give any information to my lender regarding the processing procedures.

They told not to talk to my lender because that would reduce any potential confusion between my lender's Loss Litigation Department, which they will work with. They told me if I talked to them, it would compromise the negotiation process and they will consider my file completed and my case concluded. Well, that was very stupid on my part. That was February 2009. Today, I am in foreclosure with my home. My mortgage company is demanding that I pay in full.

Of course 21st Century never contacted them. They took my money. I am about to lose my home and cannot afford a lawyer. The numbers I have for them is all disconnected. I am so stressed over this. I can not believe that I fell for this. I have paid my mortgage faithfully never late until this. My credit was in good standing. Now I can not get a pack of gum on credit. These people have taken my money, ruin my credit, and I am fighting everyday to save my home to keep from being homeless. Please help me if you can! I'm facing foreclosure and my mortgage is demanding full payment.

My good credit is ruined. I am mentally stressed. I am so depressed over this. I am so afraid of losing my home, being homeless. I am working hard (two jobs) but it seems like I will never get my mortgage payments up. Since this has happened, I am suffering with severe migraine headaches all the time.

I called 21st Century Loan Services about a loan modification to help in lowering my interest rate on my home loan. I was told by Michael Phillips that their company could help me. I gave him all the information he asked for and he sent me an application to fill out and send back to the address above. After about two weeks I received a case ID number in the mail with a payment plan, which was to be sent on 6/1/09 ($2,225.49 on a cashier's check to the above address). Apart of the payment plan was that I sent on 7/1/09 ($2,225.49) and on 8/1/09 I send $2,225.48, which I did and that would be the last payment needed to process the modification.

I received a phone call and was told that they were working on my loan in the middle of August 09 and never heard from them again. I have a copy of all the cashier's checks plus a copy of the bank's they were deposited in. I am a Vietnam vet. I am disabled and on a fix income for the rest of my life. This company has caused me to have to take medication for stress. They have caused my credit score to go down to very low numbers. They have made it very hard to get a modification at a low rate because they put me so far behind in my mortgage.

I was caught in a Loan Modification scam and lost $6,000.00. I almost lost my house, and was talked into not paying any mortgage on the house.

Just like most of the other complaints that I have now read about this company, I fell for their story. But worse, I received a call from someone claiming to be from my lender. He knew all my account information and my situation (we had to close a franchise store and file bankruptcy in 2008)and said that I was a perfect candidate for a modification but that it was required by law to be handled only by a law firm. They would negotiate a new mortgage with my existing lender. They needed two months new mortgage and a service fee. Because the call was from my lender (or so I thought) I figured that this was OK. WRONG!

As time went by, I couldn't get any return calls, then no calls could get through, and the guy I started with (Richard Alvarez) at first was insistant that he would get someone to call me back but then stopped answering his cell phone. And now all the letters I have written have been returned as undeliverable with no other address. I am working things out with my lender but I am now behind by three months and have very little way to make that up. At least they understand the situation and are working with me.

I have been in contact with the Attorney General's office in Connecticut and California. At least CT has called me for further information. I'm not sure what they can do with no address or phone to work with with. But California is pitiful. All I have received from them is a letter telling me basically "too bad for you" and saying that they are not an office that can act for a single person so I need to hire a private attorney to get anything done.

All I was really doing was trying to inform Gerry Brown that he had a fraudulent company working out of his state and he might want to do something about it. Instead I get a letter saying "we do nothing." But considering how many of the complaints I have read are from people in California, I would think that Gerry might want to do something.

So, I would definitely stay away from anything having the phrase "21st Century Legal" attached to it no matter what it is. I am now three months behind in my mortgage and I am out over $3000.

This is a response for all the people that have complained about this company since I posted a complaint last February. This company has started this scam about 12/2008. Like all of these complaints before me . This company sent out a agent that gave all there B.S. contracts and collected checks for a total of 6000.00. After 2 months of nothing. I put a stop payment on my last check, so they got me for 3600.00. This company didn't do anything for me and they took my money and ran. My advise for anyone else is do not do business with people that solicite you via phone or is not local. You will end up like me 3-6 thousand dollars broke.

I paid 21st Century Legal services $2400 for a loan modification that they never completed. They will not answer my calls. They promised to cut my loan payment in half on hardship. It appears that they are no longer in business and they have cashed all my checks.

Back in February of 2009 we were contacted by 21st century legal team about our house loan we set up an appointment and there ad visor came to our house and we signed a letter stating they would 98 percent guarantee that they could get us a 4 percent lock rate and we needed to post date them 3 checks for 825.00 for the month of march April and may and that it would take anywhere between 30 to 120 days to do this while they talked with our mortgage company. well all three checks were ran threw the bank and now when u call there number all get is a busy signal and were at wits end and im affraid were going to loose the house we were told not to send a payment to our mortgage company that they would handle everything. Its now november. Can somebody please help us.

My story is simular to some of the other people who have used this company 21st Century Legal Services to provide a modification with my present borrower at a 4% loan rate. This company stated that present mortgage payments will not have to be paid for 3 months while 21st Century processes the modification with my mortgage banker. I paid $834 upfront on July 30th when the lady courier came and did the agreement paperwork. I also wrote two other post dated checks on 9/2/09 the other 10/02/09 to cover there service work for the modification.

So to make a long story short nothing got done by 21st Century. They did call early on twice for the need for more information for me to FAX to them such as updated banking statements, tax records etc. As of this past month it's like they fell off the planet my calls which were frequent never got returned no one would answer the phone calls or return phone messages I made.

One day my neighbor informed me of this company called 21st Century who was supposed to help with a loan modification to lower my monthly mortgage by lowering my interest from a 9.25% to a 4%. Well I was kind of skeptical about making this decision because it "sounded" to good to be true, but hey on the other hand, my mortgage was going from $800 to $450. So I continued the process. Well a couple days later, a public notary came out to my house to take my 3 checks and let me sign legal documents.

The next month, I got worried because no one contacted me from 21st Century about the status of my loan modification, so I started calling about 5 times every day. I began getting the automatic voice system. Now, I am about to lose my home to foreclosure. I don't know what to do. If there's anyone that can help...I am opened to any and all suggestions.

I received a call from this company a few months ago. They told me that they could help get our mortgage payments lower due to Obamas plan. They said that it would cost us $1500.00. A notary republic came to our home with documents for us to sign and for us to give them three blank checks. My husband gave his checks. Are first payment of $596.34 was to begin in October 2009. They only took out two payments of $501.00.

I tired to call this company on numerous occasions and I never got a response back. We just recevied our mortgage statement and we now owe $8,043.97. They never contacted our mortgage company. What are we suppose to do now? We what our money returned! We are struggling to make it and we need help. We don't want to lose our home. We are very stress out now. What do we do now? Who do we call? Who do we contact now?

I was contacted by 21st Century Legal Services regarding an incentive by Obama to assist homeowners with a program called (Home Loan Modification)and it would save us $365.36 a month, and only cost us $1,550.00, well I jumped on that (BAD MOVE) they didn't tell us that it was only good for 4 months and that the money we would save we wouls have to pay back, and that my credit rating would go from very good to no good. We may lose are home and if we don't, I will no longer have my 401k because I will have to take the money out of it to pay the back (5/3 bank) 3,0000.

I was contracted by 21st Century Legal Services back in December 2008, regarding an incentive by President Bush to assist homeowners with a program called Home Loan Modification. I was asked to sign a contract that I would make three (3) payment of $800.00 ea, one for January of 2009, February 2009, and the last one for March 2009. My new modified payment was supposed to start April 2009.

I have constantly tried to contact this company over the telephone to no avail I had left numerous messages my home phone number, my work phone number, and my cell phone number.

Due to this company unprofessional practices or knowledge my credit rating has decreased due to being late with my monthly mortgage and late charges had been applied to my two late monthly mortgage, I am being harassed my Bank of America every day demanding payment in full. Money that I don't have since I am a single parent. I am spending more money that I don't have trying to bring my mortgage up to date, I've had to see the psychiatrist due to stress, anxiety, and depression.

I am totally displeased with the service and the representative. My daughter is 25 & she helps me with my business. I am 68 & has suffered from an aneurism (broken blood vessel in the brain)due to stress. My husband was a veteran and he died honorably & left us this house. I had only been renting up until this time. My husband had emphysema and died. Make a along story short. I was with Countrywide they went out of business and Bank of America took over my account. Instantly, someone came out & the next statement i got was 2x higher and it was an adjustable rate. I am on a fixed income. I recieve social security.

Now my brother-in-law moved in to help me but he is permanently disabled (wheelchair bound). I am truly stressed. My daughter was at work discussing different options with one of her co-workers when David got wind of it and HE rushed to "aide" us. He made it his business to put his character & integrity on the line for this company. He told me a million times how credible the company is & how I was in good hands. Then after the paperwork was all said & done. It became hard to get in contact with him & then he switched companies in the middle of things. Then the company itself switched names & began to give me the run around. I am becoming furious just thinking about again!!

They called me And had My info about my loan and what i still owed. They set up a appt with me, They sent a lady notery person for me to sign, I did sign on july 16th giving them 2000.oo dollors in a check form. I was told they were to fax it the next day and my loan should be Changed in about 30 days. At the time I was a 45 days behind on my mortage payments. I am disabled for life due to injuries and have limited income.

I called and called and called, Got the run around, Hugn up on, and Was told everything is just fine. All the while my leander was calling for payment. 21 centery told me to not talk with them that they would handle it for me and to just give them my number. I was told the late months were to be added to the back end of the loan if not Dropped all together.

What a fool I was... I borrowed money from a friend to pay for a much needed surgery 6000.00. the day It went into the bank I got hit up by my lender asking for 90 days back morgage with fines or I lose my house. I paid, I am about to loose the use of my right hand like I lossed the use of my left. I am now again behind on my mortgage because I was Robbed at gun point, beaten and put in the hospital. I am a Divorced Father of two Children a boy 9 and a girl 8. I have worked most of my life, My house is the one thing I have to show, Everything else has been sold or taken. I wish I did my homework....If this helps anyone then I am Glad I wrote it.

I received a call from the above company stating the they could help lower my interest rate and modify my mortgage. They sent someone to my home to sign all the paperwork, all this took place in June 2009.They asked for four post dated checks for the fee for their services. When I tried to get in touch with them in late Aug early Sept they would tell me that they would have someone call me back, this went on for a week and when I tried to call the last time phone number was no longer in service.I stopped payment on the last check they were going to cash.

I was in need of help due to a car accident and getting further behind in my bills, they have caused me a great of stress,I am now trying to save my home so that the mortgage company won't foreclose and put me and my three children on the street, because of these people I am out $1800.

first of all, be aware of this company....there should be a lawsuit out for the way they handle business..
my story

i recieved a phone call(recording) about how obama is helping people to refinance and modification(lower your payments) for people that are struggling press 1 to speak to a specialist, so i press 1...at this moment it ruin my life. i talk to a hugo and he assured me that this company can reduce my interest rate to fix 3.5% and fee of 1,295 broking into 3 payments. he stated that a notary will come out to your home, advised me of the personal info i needed to gather up, and to have my first payment. he and the notary assured me that the company will get in touch with my mortgage comp to informed them of the modification and send the package over. this never happen. they informed me that i do not have to tell my mortagage company anything.. my mortgage comp never got a package and they never got in touch with them. i start to receive calls and letters from my mortgage company, so i call them. i informed them what was going on. they informed me to get back in touch with them to see when they are going to send the package over also to beware of fraudant company's.

so, i tried to contact them got the run around, everytime..numbers not working, automative system, and we will get back in touch with you..(taking name and number) talk to a supervisor and she assured me that the package will be sent over within 10 days...it takes a little time. i should of stop payment on my 2nd check at this moment, but i didn't. the final straw, after 2 weeks i cb and the number stated that we are currently having problems with our lines, press 1 to be transfered over, then a busy signal.. called the supervisor and she took my name and number and stated that she will cb later this evening. she never did. cb the office number and people kept hanging up on me, hear others in the background chating, eating lunch, and etc. also, heard someone say, we will contact you in the morning then there was just dead air. they will not get another payment from me. i want everyone to know that this is a scam, there should be a lawsuit out for this, i defiently want my money back, and someone should do something about this before they ruin other people lives. they are taking advantage of people homes..

i went with them on feb 23, 2009. they had a mortg consultant come to my house for papers for me to sign, pick-up checks, give me copies and said everything should be settle in 90-120-. as of sept now im 25,000.00 back in payment and my home is in forecloser. since feb till july the company only made 2 phone calls to my mortg co.wells fargo

we took this to our attoney. he wrote a letter too them and too the attoney general in califoria. nothing has been done. they took my life and my husband in this sisuation. all i want is my 5,136.00 back. thats what the 3 checks about too that i wrote and took out of my account. im going too be put on the street because im out of work. lost my job and we only have 1 income comming in. my husband is supporting me my daughter and 2 month old daughter. these person do not have a consious. they hurt us really bad mind wise, physically, depress, anixety of all this.

I was on line and i found 21 century lagal. I was told of a program and did whst every one else has done post date checks a notary came to my house. Well when I stoped getting phone calls I realice it was a scam. I manage to stop one payment. (I want all my money back and are looking for some one to help me.) My wife and I are working with our lender but are 4 and half back in payments.

We were told by some friends this was a company that could decrease out house payments. My husband and I both had our hours cut at work and could no longer do the payments set by the previous company, then I had to have emergency surgery have been out of work for two plus months. We call spoke will Nellie and got things started.

Later a lady came down for us to sign papers we gave them all our information and a bankers check for $625.50 was told we would receive copies of everything signed, have not receive yet this was first of June, 2009. We were told to mail 3 post dated checks and we did. The first was suppose to be cashed July 19,2009 I kept watching my bank account and they never cashed it, so before the next was due to be cashed I called the company for several weeks leaving messages for someone to call me back.

Finally got someone to answer and they said they would check into it and call me back, no one has call us till this date. I contacted our previous loan company cause we got foreclosure letter and got real scared, they are now working with us to get this straightened out so we can keep our home hopefully (please pray).

I put stop payments on the checks and then 21st Century Leagal Services tried to cash check from July. So please beware of what you are getting into. With God's help we will save our home. I feel my recovery from surgery is taking longer due to the stress from all of this.

I did a closing for the above company on Arpil 27, 2009. The closing was successful and completed. I have calls several times and talked with Ana and Iris and both have lied to me about paying me. The company owes me $75.00 for the closing. Every time I call they claim it's in the mail. Now no one will call me back or take my call. Very poor service with this company.

I sing a loan modified to get rates as low as 3.00% plus written three checks one $872.45, $872.44 & $872.44 one check have already been cash. and I put a stop payment the other two post dated check for sept. & nov. 09.but I did received a copy of my loan paper from the notary. but they do have all my personal information.

I received a call saying 21st century had a senior special offering a mortgage modification program that would lower my mortgage payment. I was told by Steve C that he could lower my payments to $385.00 Monthly after asking me some questions concerning my current mortgage payments. He said that a specialist would come out to my home to complete the applications. after signing the applcations the specialist said he would email me a copy of the applications after he returned to his office, I gave him a copy of my bank statement, drivers license, and a copy of all my bills.

2 days went by and I didnt get any copies. I called several times and was told by Steve that he would check and find out why I didnt get the copies . as of this date i only got blank copies through the email. I had also given them 3 post dated checks in the amount of $385.00 for August, September, and November 2009. I stopped payment on the August payment because no contact from them after asking for copies had me thinking perhaps this company is frauding me. I checked with your company and sure enough several complaints have been filed agaisnt 21st century legal services. I would like to cancell the signed contracts and a return of my checks and documents.

My mother, Paula, called me and told me that she found a company that would lower her payments. She asked me to go online and check out this company,21st Century Legal Services. I did and found this website. This is how my mother found out about 21st Century Legal Services. My mother's friend got a call about lowering payments on her mortgage. She didnt have a mortgage so the friend gave Paula (mother) the number to call them. Paula called 1-909-989-5123, that shows up as public announcement on caller Id. She was transfered to a secretary named Gloria. Gloria took some information from Paula then transfered Paula to Richard the "Lawyer"

He asked questions of: How much she owed on her mortgage and took information on income and personal information like checking accounts, credit cards, and told her that a someone would come to the door on the 3rd of August at 3:00pm at Paula's home and get the information in writing and Paula was to have a cashiers check made out in the amount of the mortgage payment made out to 21st Century Legal Services. Thankfully, Paula didn't have credit cards and a checking account. My mother,Paula, has her mortgage through Linton Loans. I don't know if Linton has anything to do with it but it needs to be checked out. This guy Richard had her account on his computer and new that she was behind one payment. He said that would be took care of too.

I saw a phone number appear on my television screen 21st century legal services. I answered, the young lady proceeded to tell me the company knew I had filed bankruptcy, to save my home from foreclosure. She started asking me questions, after paying 1600.00 dollars a month since september of 2008, all I could think was thank you Lord my prayer has been answered.

After I was advised what the company needed in paper work, bank statements, 2 years taxes, 1 month of pay stubs, a hardship letter from me as to why I need help as a single mother of 2 school age children, to process a remodification loan through my lender, now keep in mind I recieved this call on monday July 20th 2009,

They are sending someone to my home friday July 24th 2009, to pick up a post dated check for 690.00 dollars that I need to pay for 3 monthes to their company. I owe 97,000 dollars, on my home. The modification was dropping my payment down to less than 500.00 dollars a month, with 4 percent
interest, a fixed rate for 30 years. I guess I really thought it was Gods work helping until I looked on line today and to my great dissappointment, it was all a lie to cheat people out of their money, If I had went through with this I would have lost my home, everthing, I have worked my whole life for, I have no family to help me. Me and my children would have been homeless, and the representative told me that after the 1st 3 monthes of paying the 690.00 dollars to their company.

That would be when I would start paying the lower payment amount. How can people get away with this, I am back to square one. I am angry that people are so cruel and greedy, to take advantage of people in this manner. Especially in times of great hope, of trying to hang on each day. To think of finally being financially rescued. Thanking the Lord each day for helping me. Then reading all these complaints from all of these people. That believed like I wanted to believe, hope turned back into despair. My heart goes out to each and every person who has been victimized by this bogus company. I pray for relief for all of us. There is hope, we just have to keep believing. A concerned citizen, God blessed me with the truth.

I was contacted by Tina two days ago, I received the package by Fed Ex yesterday. I read the materials which included part of the U.S. Departmne of the Treasury article Subparagraphs i. Shared Effort to Reduce Monthly Payments - 38% or 31% of income. and subparagraph ii. "Pay for Sucess" incentives to servicers.

List of docs included bills, copy of last yrs W-2's (send full income tax returns), copy of most recent pay stub, hardship letter, copy od mortgage coupon, one month bank statement, cashiers check for $1,000 - other payments post dated checks and Tina phone no. I am very cautious about loan modifications so I didn't respond until I investigated the company and lo and behold I get this website, Thank God

applied for a loan was told that we made to much money then tried to contact them to let them know that my husband had been laid off

i tried to let them know this and was put on terminal hold never received a phone call back i have called 20 times in one day no response

My mother in law was contacted by this company and when I told her it seemed suspicious that they wanted $ she asked me to look it up online. (they asked for three posted-dated checks) that's when I found these complaints. I also checked the better business bureau and low and behold.

We live in Ohio and a temporary restraining ordered was just granted YESTERDAY forbidding this company from contacting Ohio homeowners and there is also a civil suite filed by the attorney general for all of the innocent people that were duped by these people. Thank god we found in before any $ went to them. When I called the company and asked if they were the same ones with all the complaints on the internet Mandy told me "oh yea, that was a disgruntled ex-employee doing all of that and it's been taken care of". That's when I informed them that I am aware of the restraining order and civil law suite and she then got nasty with me.

PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMS!!! The real goverment help on the modification loans are FREE. I found all I needed for that on the goverment website and they stress to all that there is NO CHARGE FOR THIS HELP thru the goverment.

In june a person named Richard R.
called my home and spoke with my wife about doing a loan remodification. After going over all the details and the ins/outs my
wife said she wanted to talk to our
daughter about it.She explained to
him that she does this type of work for a Bank/loan co.in NY.And we would get back with him in a couple days.
This person was suppose to e-mail some info.as well. For which he never did.
Our daughter had some concerns and tried to call him[no answer]She tried to e-mail him.[no reply].My wife tried to call him 3 times.[no luck]
I tried to call him 6 times in 2 days
I left 4 voice mails/talk to his assistant 2 times and she claimed
she was going to put a note on his desk.Luckly we did,nt send no money/info to these people. Alway remember..When in doubt, check it out.

Thank God for a smart wife/daughter

A telemarketer called me and said that I might qualify for a new government assistance program for struggling homeowners. I told him that I already looked into President Obama's plan and I don't qualify because my loan is not with Freddy Mac or Fanny Mae. He argued with me, telling me that my information was incorrect. He then transferred me to someone else named Michael Bates. Michael talked fast and low, I had trouble understanding him. He said that he could reduce our payments by $500 per month, that his company worked with my lender all the time, that it could all be accomplished within 3 months.

When I asked questions, or tried to, he just talked over me, he was not interested in my questions. When he stopped to take a breath, I asked him, "What's the name of your company?" and he laughed in an irritated manner, saying, "I already told you, 21st Century Legal Services. We're located in Rancho Cucamonga in Southern California, we've been voted the 2nd best company..." and into his sales pitch again. I did not like the way he refused to answer all of my questions or fully explain the program to me. I flat out told him that I was suspicious of ALL companies who "modify" loans and that several of my friends had been ripped off. He then launched into his sales pitch about 21st being voted the second best loan modification program...

I find it insulting when I'm treated like an imbecile by strangers on the phone who are trying to get me to cough up $3400 (yes, I did manage to get him to tell me how much it would cost). I find it irritating to have to wait until the salesperson pauses a microsecond to be able to get a question in, and I find it troubling that this man had so much information about me and my situation including the square footage of my house, how much I owed on it, etc.

Even so, after all my misgivings, I agreed to talk to a notary he was sending over. I thought that she or he would be able to tell me more about the program that Michael didn't. After mulling it over, I canceled my appointment. I just don't like being rushed into anything.

I was reffered by her friend called J. Romo, which is notary public in texas, to 21st century legal services by the name M. Hernandez, from california. She said that she can modify my loan into 3% to 4% 30 years fixed rate, She gave me a figure on the basi of interest rate which i could save half of my monthly ammotization. She explined to me that, their company will responsible to pay 1st 3 months maonthly payment while on process, she will be contating my bank and the process will take 30 to 90 days process.

She gave me a 15 pages form that need to filled-up, and send it to her office address in Rancho Cucamonga, California. The documents are containing also the amount that i need to pay and issue a two month pay checks for $1845 for a total of $3690. I already send the checks to her, and call her again that she will receive it in 3 days. While the document are on her way, I called her again to verify how she can able to pay mortgage, since she never ask me anything regarding my loan account, which bank, pay-off information, she even never ask me of my texas taxes, insurance etc.

after a day I try call her many times, but nobody ask answer me and even in email, nobody responding me. Finally i called my bank to hold the checks and try to retrieve my document that has all my information. Thanks God that my documents are not mailed yet and still i get it. This is just a lesson learned from my experience. To all who have information and calls for this 21st century legal assistance, please report it to the police, so that this kind of scam will not dameage anymore to any innocence regarding loan modification process.

I've just read through the other complaints about 21st Century and I can't say more than what the others have said.

I too have never been able to get in touch with this infamous "Kathy" and can't reach "Richard" who called us in the first place.

The scariest part of this entire process is that they (21st) said the name of our mortgage company when they called and said they were representing them in this matter and that 21st could help us.

I have canceled my second check and am working with the Attorney General of Indiana and filing an official complaint.

These people are preying on the innocent and desperate people of the world.

March I was going behind on my mortgage and my property had just been listed as in foreclosure. 21st Century Legal Services began soliciting me to use the bail out and save my home. I guess I wanted to believe. March 6th they came out to my house and took copies of my loan docs and checks three 1000 dollar checks. They were supposed to suspend my account and let me know about the status of the new loan terms amount and interest rate we had previously discussed.

After hiring these people the solicitation calls never stopped and the lenders then called and I explained to them what was going on and they said we are not doing business with these people and they had never even suspended my accounts. I called them and told them the gig was up. They told me the lender wants to get us in conflict to blow the deal, Debt collectors are miss informed and often are the ones who call, and that they had 1st class letter receipts to prove contact had been made and they where fallowing all laws and making progress on my file.

I asked to get copies of all documents in my file including the proof she stated they had and gave her my fax number. Never received and all the old number extensions are messages and you can leave 40 messages in two weeks and get know response I did. I did how ever get a person claiming to be a new receptionist one day and when I explained the situation she refused to put her supervisor on the phone and hung up and they forwarded the line to a message.

I filed a complaint here w/BBB and FBI Los Angeles CA. the closest office to there address. Well they got 2 of 3 checks for 2000 total and you know maybe I could have saved my home if they hadnt lead in the wrong direction. Plus we have been getting solicited be an enormous amount of B.S. scams since this happened at all form of contact info we had provided them.

I just received a call from 21st Century Legal services and was but in contact with a man named booker. They said they could modify my loan based on financial hardship and he forwarded me to Michael. He said their company is based out of california but they functioned out of all 50 states. Michael told me that they could reduce my payments by 30 percent. They were going to sent out a notary person next week and my phone died. My conscience told me to check the internet and i found these articles that describe almost word for word the transaction I had.

this company collected money from me stating that they could get me into a 30 year fixed rate mortgage instead of an adjustable rate to make a long story short i paid the company for nothing because i negotiated my own modification they did nothing for me but take my money and kathy would not return any of my calls even after she stated she could be contacted be email and would respond because she checks them daily that was a lie she never returned any of my phone calls

when i ask to speak to a owner they would tell me that kathy was the only one available then on several other occasions i would ask for the owner of the company they stated it would be kathy this company caused me to allow for my home to go into foreclosure when i could have continued to pay my mortgage instead of taking the company advice which ruined my credit i would not advise any one to use this company or give out any of your information over the phone to no one if you cant go into the business and meet the person dont do it it is not worth the hassle and stress my credit was jacked up because of this company but thankfully i didnt lose my home

I was told they could reduce my mortgage rate to 4% based on hardship under the new stimulus program. Jason then came on the phone and told me I'd need to complete an application first, send in pay stubs etc. I said that I had already requested my lender for a modification and what he could offer me that would be worth paying for. He said that my lender would only reduce my loan to 5.5% but that his lawyers would negotiate 4%. I asked if his lawyers were licensed in Vermont and if so the name of the lawyer. He gave me the name Nehmeh, which is not listed in the Vermont Secretary of States listing. When I said I wasn't comfortable giving out my social security number etc from my paystubs to some outfit that just called me on the phone he said that his program was for people with real hardship that did not care about sending out paystubs as they needed help. I said that maybe people with real hardship should be more careful about speaking with crooks. He said that he would send me an email that would describe his company. NO EMAIL ever came. Then I found all the complaints. DESPICABLE business -preying on the desperate. I am going to report them to the bar association for engaging in the unauthorized practice of law.

I saw the ad on tv about the modification on my house and I contact them, they want me to put up money up front and they would help me with me housing loan modification, but the more i research i saw bad remarks about them. so I would like people to know that dont fall for this scam!

We were contacted by this company saying that they could lower our interest rate to fixed 4% for 30 years. They sent a notary out from Seals on Wheels in Altoona, Pa and we provided a letter of our expenses, pay stubs, etc.. and 3 post dated checks in the amount of $500 each. Two of them have been cashed & havent heard anything since and no one will return any phone calls. We are now stopping payment on third check and contacting anyone we have to in order to report this company, file a police report,etc..to get our money and information back

We are now behind on our mortgage by 2 months which we didnt have to be. The money that we provided to 21st century could have paid our mortgage on time.

I received a call from Albert saying they are contracted by the Gov't to modify mortgages if fall under certain criteria.(1) behind on your payments (2) if your home isn't worth what you owe. (3) If your interest rate is above 6%. Albert said he could reduce my payment from 2,200.00 a month to 1530.00 a month including taxes. I would be current. They would need 3 post dated checks for 1784.00 to go to the lender as part of the modification. I asked multiple times if my lender doesn't except the proposal what would happen. There answer was: You will receive all your money back. They sent out a notary and they kept me updated with every thing, until the end.

They cashed in 2 of the checks and I called them multiple times. No return calls and they won't answer my calls.I tried to call my lender and again. They are not answering my call either.I researched this company on the internet and noticed all the complaints.By God,these complaints seem to look familiar. At that point,I put a stop payment on the last check.Thinking someone would surely call-no calls what so ever. This confirmed this company is a scam. Next on my list is to make a police report on this company and then call are local news co. and report these scam artist.

At the point they called me we were 2 months behind and could been caught up by tax time. Know it's out of reach and I have to file Chapter13 BK.

This company called us and said they could do a Home Modification for us. They also said they needed 3 post dated checkes to pay for it.Each check was for a $1,000.00. They sent a Notary person to are home and we signed papers. After that whole process I did'nt feel good about it and asked for my money back.

They sent my 2 post-dated checks back but won't give me my other one back. Because of this I'am now behind on my Mortgage.
