I purchused a pair of glasses on july 25th and went to pick them up a week later and the lenses were in the wrong spot meaning the lens that was to be in the left side was in the right side and the right lens was in the left side this is no fault of my own doing there was a mix up at the lens department.it is now august 10th. I was told that my glasses would be done in a week to ten days it has now been 16 days when asked if I would get a discount I was told by one employee that I should get them free or half off but I would have to talk to the manager I asked the manager about this and she said no we do not give discounts that walmart makes 40,000 pairs of glasses a day and I would be called when my glasses were finished.

I have always been a loyal customer to walmart have gotten my eye glasses there for yrs.I was so mad that I just about told her that I wanted my money back and now I think I should have, I could have gone some place eles and had my eyewear by now

I purchased frames and lens for my son in March 2006.  The frames have broken and they tell me that they are not under warranty, only the lens.   So I have to purchase another pair of frames.

Also our insurance tells me that I was suppose to have a 15 discount but they did not deduct that or reimburse me.

I purchased a pair of glasses from the Walmart vision center in Hermitage Tn. I noticed that when out in the sun the color changes but is very blotchy I went to the Walmart store and ask if they could fix them, The Manager there was not very cooperative. She said they could not fix or replace them because I had them longer than one year. I said OK so I paid almost five hundred dollars for these glasses and now I have to purchase another pair. She said that's it. I then contacted customer service by phone and was told someone would be calling me. I have now called three times and still waiting for a call back.

I went to Canada on Vacation and was told by their Vision Manager they have a two year warranty and would replace them if I had enough time there, unfortunately I was not staying there long enough to get them replaced. I feel they should replace my glasses. We shall see. I am still going to keep trying. They have a lot more money than I do. I will never shop there for anything as important as glasses anymore and will not recommend them to anybody.

In November 2005 I purchased glases from Walmart; after a month they kept falling apart, I kept bringing them in for repair almost daily.  I was told thay were so flimsy Walmart stopped carrying them. They were 300 glasses. I was told they were only warrantied for 60 days. I finally went to the Store Mgr. who got me a refund towards a new pair for 400, which I got in May.

It is now July and the tiny bolts that hold this pair together are coming off. I took them to Walmart to get a new nut put on the post and the Vision center Mgr started yelling at me telling me she already rebuilt one pair for me and she wasn't doing it again. I said all I needed was a nut for the bolt. I was told they didn't carry them and there was nothing they could do for me. I asked if they could call the lab where they are made. They agreed to try and call me if they could get the part. Of course -- No call back. During my visit at the store the Mgr ignored me for 15 minutes, made fun of me by mimicking my voice to the other employees while I was standing there and turned her back on me repeatedly during our conversation.I have read the other reports on Walmart Vision Centers and it sounds as if they have a problem.

The consequences are that I'm out 400 if they won't fix them and it looks like this will be another recurring problem.

Heather of West Point, UT June 26, 2006

Heather of West Point UT (06/26/06)
I purchased my 8 year old son's glasses at the vision center of Walmart. I was told that the lenses would need to be scratch resistant and also polycarbonate lenses because that is what they required on all their children's glasses. I purchased them and paid for them, and within 6 weeks, his glasses were so scrtatched that he couldn't see out of them very well. I called and talked to one of the associates at the center, and told them the situation, and he said that he would talk to his manager and see what they could do, because the warranty only lasted 30 days.

I was informed after they consulted the manager that they would replace the lenses. When I took them in to have them measured and also tightened, the manager informed me that the scratches on the lenses looked like scratches from being dropped, and that they could not replace them. I told her that one of the associates in her store had told me that they would replace them, she said that they would not replace them! They say they will stand behind their product, and they don't! The glasses have fallen apart now. So I am faced with paying for another pair of glasses.
