Short version: I told Keller I would not need any student loans. I paid for each class in advance. Keller proceeded to take out student loans for each class. Each time, I told them to stop taking the loans. They continued to take loans. The last class I took, I demanded they return the last loan amount. The amount they withdrew from my account was to pay for my last class and to return the money back to the student loan. They failed to apply the portion to my last class, sent me a check in the mail. Then they put my account on hold and have been harassing me ever since. The last insult was the amount that is allegedly due. They now state it's now a Keller loan and are applying interest to this "loan" each month.
I would avoid this college at all costs. They stated that the loan people kept sending them the money. When I spoke with Direct Loans, they stated that they do not send money unsolicited, Keller had to have requested the funds. I would avoid this college at all costs! I am now in debt for over $8,000. My credit rating has suffered so I am no longer able to finance my home. Keller is now threatening to garnish my wages, lien my vehicle, lien any other property the state provides for.
