The world is moving toward high-tech service industries and lots of us are feeling the pressure to learn new skills or renew old ones.

Parents are more concerned than ever that the public schools may not be equipping their children for the more demanding job market that awaits them.

All this creates a fertile field for those whose claims sometimes exceed their ability (or desire) to deliver.

Whatever school you choose, it's likely to be expensive, as Mark Huffman reports in Why Does College Cost So Much? And watch out! Those student loans will be around a long time after final exams are finished.
