National Consumer Council

Scott of Vienna VA (5/26/03):
Received an unsolicited telemarketing call on Sunday, 25 May 2003, at around 9:00 PM in the evening. The call, a pre-recorded message, offered assistance with poor credit or mortgage difficulties. The call provided a telephone number at the end of the message. Sunday is still the Sabbath observance day for some Americans.

I called the number, 1-800-990-3990, and a voice message noted that the National Consumer Council was only open for business Monday through Saturday. Yet, they have no qualms disturbing American families on a Sunday evening, when theire offices are not even open, with unsolicited, pre-recorded phone calls. Very annoying and insensitive.
