WILLIAM of CHICAGO, IL January 11, 2010

I haven't been receiving my mail here consistantly for over 2 years. The mail that I never seem to receive are always in the form of cheques. My employers have had to reissue cheques which I am not receiving. I have repeatedly complained to the post office, at one time I was assigned a special agent Ahmad to investigate this matter nothing happened? And now my employer is mailing my cheques again and they are coming up missing!

I have not been recieving my mail.First event november 5th 2009: My husband left his wedding ring at a hotel, in TN, and I had them mail it to my parents home in PA. My mom never recieved it. I talked to someone who works for the hotel nd he said the package the ring was in was returned with no ring in it and the package had writing on it saying returned to sender damaged. Thr ring was valued at more than 1,000. Second event December 18, 2009: My uncle told me he mailed my christmas card with cash for my two year old son in it. We still have not recieved it.

Event three around december 10, 2009: My mother mailed me her christmas card and it was returned to her. Apparently she put the wrong address on the envlope. The address she did put does not exist on this street. The thing that is confusing is there was two gift cards valued at 30 each were in the orgional one. When she got the first package back there was only one card in it and the package appeared to be cut open. She made a conplant to her post office and I have made the complaints to my post office. The manager at my post office said he would takl to my carrier and call me back. I am not surprised I have not recieved a call back yet.

i paid for express mail service to get my loan modification papers in to wachovia bank by 1/10/10. i sent them on 01/06/10 and they were to be deliverd by 01/08/10 3pm. i have tracked my package and today is 1/09/10 and the carrier left a notice for the bank to pick up the package and it is 1 day past the delivery date that they guaranteed. i called the 800# this moring and they told me that it was going to be deliverd today and instead they left a notice for pick up at 11am. i called wachovia and they said that their mail room was open and did not know why they were not delivered.

Barbara of Aberdeen, MS January 6, 2010

I live at Bear Rd. Buck Rd. is a street over from me.The regular carrier (on a regular basis) mixes our mail up.This is the 3rd. complaint I have made.I work at the Post Office in Houston Ms., so I have not complained every time. I have been putting the mail back in the box and raising the flag. This is not working. The carrier continues to mix the mail up. Today, 1-6-10 my mail was left at Buck Rd.I talked to the OIC in the Aberdeen Ms. post office today.

Dave of Independence, MO December 28, 2009

This office has been delivering my paychecks by mail since September 2009. On or about 19 December 2009 the postal persons on duty returned my paycheck as undeliverable. The yellow tag states "Unable to forward/for review - no forwarding order on file - return to postmaster of original addressee for review". This is utterly intolerable and due to their inability to continue service appropriately, I did not receive that paycheck until the next weekend with my new one.

This has caused me both mental and financial distress and will not be tolerated ever again. Due to other personal issues [death in family for starters], I was counting on that paycheck to assist in paying my rent on time. As a result, I have now received a threat of eviction from the landlord and my rent was 1 week late, costing me an addition 105.00 that I do not have to be able to throw away. The mental distress of experiencing this issue is more than any individual should have to bare.

RB of GRAY, ME December 27, 2009

We live in the center of this 7500 population Maine town. The local post office refuses to deliver mail because "it would cause the mail vehicle to make a left turn." FedEx, UPS, and the local paper have no difficulty. The mail driver was at our home and said he could deliver, but needed the go-ahead. We have written to the Postmaster General in DC with no results.

Doug of Cambridge, MA December 26, 2009

Cambridge, MA post office not delivering mail daily - We've had issues in the past but we've been noticed on heavy/bad weather days we tend not to get mail.

This past holiday week, we've had people locally ask if we got their cards and some we have not. Not getting mail once a month is a thin average for our household but not getting ANY mail Dec. 24th and 26th is hard to fathom. My tax dollars and continually rising stamp costs that pay their salaries do not care how many people are on vacation. My job is just as busy as theirs this time of year and blowing off jobs becasue vacations and sickdays increase my workload will get me a fast track to the unemployment line. The last time we did not recieve mail for almost a (Friday - Wednesday) and after I complained on Thursday morning, our mail box was STUFFED Thursday night and Friday with NO explination on why I didn't get any delivery earlier. I was unemployed at the time and the delay almost cost me that period check and could have put my unempoyment checks in jeopardy.

What makes this worse is that the local post office is at the end of my street less than 2 blocks away.

Marty of Spring, TX December 24, 2009

Mail constantly not received, mis-delivered to wrong address or just disappears. Packages sent back without attempt at delivery. Packages damaged on delivery half the time. Medicine sent from the VA seldom arrives or disappears. No one ever answers a phone and no answering machine. RUDE people at the front desk.

STANLEY of NORTH MIAMI BEACH , FL December 20, 2009

Our mail man has changed and we are not getting our mail.
