Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I enrolled in Debtscape, Inc's plan in 2003. They took care of my debt consolidation ok until 2010, when my payments to them were not being dispersed to my creditors. I tried to contact them through phone, email & fax but no answer. Now I'm out $1300 and paying off the remainder of my debt myself.

I was paying debtscape money to take care of my bills back in 2001 and 2002, until it occurred to me that the company seem to not exist after a couple of months, and my debt didn't seem to be going down. I was contacted by some law firm that seem to know more about this situation than me. After receiving two letters from that law firm, I haven't heard anything more on the case.

I was setup back on October 2008 to start paying $225.00 monthly, wherein $25.00 is part of their charge. Debtscape has been taking money from my bank account up until May 2010. Then, I received a summons from the court to be sued by Midland Funding LLC through Attorney Stephen **. I gave Debtscape my trust to access from my bank account to pay my creditor and as of May 2010, they have not been paying them and I am now being sued. I have made a phone call to the attorney to pay the remainder balance to his office by installments every month, hopefully, for $225.00 until this account is paid off in full. Now, this company (Debtscape) cannot be contacted.

My husband and I enrolled with debtscape to help us get out of debt about 6 years ago and we are now down to one credit card with them and started receiving calls from the creditor that they haven't been receiving their payments. The money has been coming out of my bank account but not getting distributed to the creditor. I tried to contact debtscape via e-mail as well as calling and I get a voice mail and never a return call. Now I have to come up with the monies again to pay the creditor even though it has been paid to them as well as my interest rate will be going up.

Debtscape has not paid my credit card bill in two months. They took two payments, totaling over $500, and did not pay the money to my creditor. Stop any arrangements you have with Debtscape.

I posted a consumer complaint on April 5, 2010. Well, my attorney sent a letter, which Debtscape never received because the address they have on their website is incorrect. I would like everyone out there to know that we are trying to get help for not only myself, but for everyone else. After all the complaints, Dave with Debtscape made my payments.

He paid the March payments on two of my cards and he paid the April payments as well. Now, I had not given them any money for April yet. So I wondered how he was making these payments when he wasn't using my money. He also sent me a $200.00 for two other payments he was unable to make. Well, in the meantime, I had a stop payment put on my account for all amounts from Debtscape.

When they tried to take the money out and couldn't, they reversed one of the credit card payments and cancelled the $200.00 check which had already cleared in my account. My fianc called Debtscape and finally got Dave on the phone and he acted surprised about the check being cancelled and the reversed payments. He agreed to send me $300.00 for the payments and late fees. We requested it be in form of a money order or certified check. As of Monday, April 19th, I have yet to receive anything from Debtscape. We have since paid off all the cards and are just waiting for Debtscape to pay me the money they legally owe me.

Debtscape, Inc. is supposed to pay my credit card bills on time. They take the money out of my account but do not disburse it on time or sometimes not at all. On December 2009, I had to call them several times to make the payments and on January 2010, there were no payments made until March 2010. February payments were made on time and now, March has not been paid and they owe me $75.00 for a payment they could not make on the January payments. I have called and left messages repeatedly for months now and I have contacted an attorney to send them a letter.

As of now, their fax number is disconnected and you can no longer leave messages on their answering machine. I don't know how they are supposed to call us back if we can't leave a message. I would just like them to stop taking my money and I will pay the bills myself and I want any money back that has not been paid to the bills.

I have already put a stop payment on my account so they can no longer take any more money out of my account. I have been extremely stressed out when my bills are not paid on time. I don't have the money to pay them due to the fact that Debtscape has my money.

Still, Debtscape is continuing to make a mess of my credit. I am starting to get calls and letters from my creditors and now, Dave ** who said he would take care of the problem and didn't is nowhere to be found. I have called, emailed, everything! Posting on here two other times seems to not really help at all! Why isn't there someone out there investigating them? I am about to call the police! They took so much money from me! Complete utter anxiety and stress dealing with this issue. I have no job and they are continuing to rob me. None of my accounts are being paid on time and they are ruining my credit!

I am out of so much money because of these people and it is making me sicker and sicker when I see all the people they have been taking advantage of! They should all be put in jail!

I have been sending money to Debtscape Inc for the past eight years to help pay down two loans. Up until three or four months, the money was paid to my creditors on time. Then they started paying later and later every month. On February 1, 2010, they withdrew the money from my checking account and to this date (March 1, 2010) the payment has not been sent to my creditor.

Their website has shut down on Debtscape where I was able to check on my account, and they have closed out their email accounts and every email sent comes back. They do not answer their phone, with it going to an answering machine with no call backs after a week and a half. They attempted today to withdraw another payment of $222.00 from my checking account. Thank God I went to my bank last Friday and put a stop on any future withdrawals. They have only stolen the one month payment of $222.00. I am retired and cannot afford to lose this money no matter what amount. Please help if you can.

I signed up with Debt Scape Inc in October of 2008 in an effort to pay off my debt. Everything seemed to be going fine, my creditors were being paid on time, however; as of the last month I've recieved 5 letters from my creditors saying that I have missed payments. I feel like I'm being scammed here and I want this to be stopped immediately! I am unable to reach anyone at Debt Scape Inc. and the people who I had dealt with in the past will no longer respond to my emails. I'm furious! This company that is claiming to be a non-profit debt management solution is RUINING my credit even further!!!

I went thru Debt scape in 2003-2005, I owed around 18,000 dollars. I was paying 569.00 a month for two years. After 2 years I still owed what I begun with. I even paid out of pocket on my taxes that I owed. After I got out I contacted all my creditors and found out that many had changed hands. I finally contacted them and made arrangements to pay each one myself. After I paid off all of them in 2005. At the time I lived in KC MO. I moved to Enid OK. in 2008/ I was here 8 months when I received a letter from Midland saying I owed them a little over 2000.00 dollars. I explained to them that I already paid this, and I told them that I just moved and I had a storage in KC MO and I was still uppacking here and I was not sure where all my paperwork was and even if I still had it, I finally went back to KCMO and went thru everything, same thing here. Within a month they contacted a Law Firm, I received a lot of letters from them, I called and talked to them, but they did not care. I finally sent them a print out where Debt scape had paid them approx 1900.00 on this and I was not aware of any thing else that was owed on this. this account was I though was for 1500.00 dollars.

I told the lawyers take me to court because I had paper work to back me up showing that I had paid and that thru the same company Midland LLC I had paid off another Credit card in 2005 that they had handled from Debtscape. They told the lawyers they could not contact me. Which is not true, I lived in the same house in KCMO for 4years. Anyway, i went to court thinking that I had every thing I would need to redemy this. If I owed anything I would pay it. I was not looking for a way out, I just did not want to have to pay for something I already paid for and if I owed anymore I would of paid it. The Judge asked me if I had a Lawyer, I told me I could not afford one, he hit his gavel and said there was a summary against me and I had to pay, I tried to explain that I sent the printouts to the lawyer and this court where Debtscape had made payments. They did not care. Now I owe 2600.00 dollars for something I had paid thru Debt scape something I had no Idea was still lingering after 4 years. Where is the justice in this. I did the right thing by getting help to pay these bills instead of going Bankrupt. The reason I had these bills was because I got ill and could not work for 3 months. When it got overwhelming with all the interest I was being charged I just wanted to pay them. I received a check from the lawyers that are suing Debt scape and it was for 68.00 dollars a far cry from the 13656.00 dollars that i had paid Debtscape. I just want this all to be over, I cannot afford for anyone else to say I owe them. It does not seem to matter if I can prove or not.

They have shut down phone lines and web page pretty much. I did get an answer one day on phone and was told they were having computer problems. They can not be contacted anymore. CLOSE BANK ACCOUNTS NOW SO THEY CANT TAKE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debtscape has been handling my debt management plan for a year and 1/2. In September, it came to my attention that while they were still deducting $716 from my checking account monthly, my credit cards were not being paid on time, I was accruing significant late fees, my credit cards were threatening to drop me from the debt management plan. After MANY unreturned phone calls and emails, I finally reached Dave H.

Mr. H. promised to look into the matter for me and call me back, which he never did. I had to resort to calling him back several times to find out, finally, that my account was being transferred to another debt management company in New York.

After the account was transferred, I called Mr. H. back specifically to tell him that I was no longer a Debtscape client, and that Debtscape no longer had authorization to debit my checking account. He agreed, and told me my account was closed. Come to find out 10.26.09 that I was debited once again for $716, and now Mr. H. will not return phone calls. NUMEROUS bank fees due to either late credit card payments and the overdraft fees that came as a direct result of them debiting my account for the $716. I had a car payment that was returned, in addition to many other charges, due to Debtscape's negligence.

I have been in the deptscape program for 4-5 months with automatic payments taken out of my checking account of $151.00 a month. My creditors have not been paid for the past 60 days and they have continued to take out my payment. They will not return my phone calls for an explanation or correction. They are ruining my credit. How to I fix this and how do I get my money back?

I am still waiting to hear from Debtscape...they still have not emailed me or called me back and they still have not paid my creditors. I keep receiving delinqency notices and they are ruining my credit. I am out of work and this is the last thing I need! I just send a complaint to the BBB! That hopefully will work!

I have been with Debtscape for well over 5 years. My debt should have been paid off this coming October 2009. On the 10th of every month, Debtscape withdraws $357.00 from my checking account to pay my Macys credit card. On August 10 they did withdraw $357.00 from my checking account, but as of September 5, 2009, they have failed to pay my pending Macys account. I am now 2 months in arrears, and they are still holding my money.

I have dealt with M. Howell in the past and she has corrected their errors. I have called and emailed them various times in the past 2 weeks and no one is returning my calls or emails. They are still holding my $357.00 and my next payment of $357.00 is due Sept. 10, 2009. If I don't hear from them I am going to put a stop payment on that amount.

I cannot locate them. Where is my money? Who do I contact? Who can help me? I have even written to their CEO, D. Hensel. My credit is at risk. I am retired and on a fixed income, and this lose is great for me and my credit rating. Can you help me? I now owe Macys $662.00 (its 2 months in arrears). Where is my money?

I have been trying to contact Debtscape for weeks now in regards to my account and letters I am receiving from my creditors stating that Debtscape has not paid any of my creditors yet they have been continually taking out my electronic payment of $605 out of my bank account each month. If they are not paying my creditors what are they doing with my money and why haven't they called me back or emailed me???? I am keeping all my phone and email records!!!! I want my money back!

I've been trying to get Debtscape to return my call since last week Friday. I spoke with Ms. Howell on last week Monday requesting copies of documents that I need for a court issue with a collection agency regarding my Bank of America account which Debtscape was handling before they transferred my account to another debt consolidation company. I've not been able to reach anyone by phone or via email. All I want is for someone to talk with me and get me the documents that I need.

I was a fool to sign up with Debtscape back in 2002. Debtscape describes themselves as a non profit organization, but they were getting more profit than they were sending my creditors. I'm still in the process of cleaning up my credit report after 6 years. They sent my creditors the miminum due while the late fees and overdraft fees added up. No one ever communicated with me. I added up all of my debt in the beginning and calculated that I would be done paying them in 2 1/2 years. So 2 1/2 years go by and they tell me that I have 2 more years before I pay off my debt. My debt was only $6000 and I mailed them $200 every month for 2 1/2 years. You do the math. I need to sue them so bad. I need my $6000 back.

I've been so stressed and all this has caused me to get on anti-depressants, but I'm off now and I'm still working on my credit report.

I have been paying Debtscape for over 4 years, but I am unable to get a balance on any of my accounts. All I get from them are quarterly statements and they NEVER have any information on balances.

I may be overpaying them and not know it.

My husband & I worked with Debtscape for about 4 years. We were told that we would only pay a one time fee the first month and then noticed that we had to pay 6-9 per account with Debtscape. Also, we were told that they would have the credit cards reage our accounts when paid off, this NEVER happened and was NEVER addressed with credit cards as Debtscape led us to believe. Plus, Debtscape can NEVER promise that credit cards to reage accounts since nearly all of them NEVER do this to begin with. Debtscape has had a lawsuit against them for the fees that they charged that they said would not happen. To date, it is in appeals by Debtscape. We may never see the fees reinbursed at this rate.

I agreed to pay over $475.00 in fees to Debtscape as part of their Debt Consolidation / Reduction plan they had proposed to me. I had approximately 4 creditors I was attempting to work with - the $475 was based on the amount owed to those 4 companies, in addition to a regular monthly fee I would be charged.

After Debtscape was not able to help me reduce my debt with at least two of these companies, and/or the acceptance of their agreement was subsequently revoked by said company, I demanded a refund of the amounts (fees) directly related to those companies where my accounts were not being serviced. In other words, the creditor would not agree to take payments from Debtscape on my behalf for those accounts.

Since I could not reach anyone at the company who would help me with this complaint, I was out of luck.

At that time I stopped doing business with the company altogether. Debtscape took my money and provided absolutely no service in return.

I was out almost $500 and credit more severely damaged due to inaction / incompetance by Debtscape. More late fees owed and credit situation in worse shape (instead of 30 or 60 days late, ended up 90 or 120 days late due to their slowness or incompetance).

Worse, I could have applied that $475 directly to the amounts owed on my credit cards, helping to lower my debt instead of handing it to Debtscape while my situation worsened.

My husband and I had gotten behind in our bills and we had just had a new baby and moved within the same month. We heard about Debtscape on the Internet, contacted the company and enrolled. Everything was going fine, the bills were coming in and the balances were going down. We completed the program and figured we were fine. Wrong, one and a half years after completing the program we now have creditors calling us and telling us our bills are not fullfilled and the balances have continued to grow.

We are now unable to purchase our first home as our credit is still showing deliquent accounts. We are renting a 2 bedroom 1 bath house with 3 children under the age of 11. This is all we can afford as we are now having to pay our bills off a second time.

I signed up with this supposedly reputable debt management company and have missed one payment in the seven payments I have made. I started recieving letters from my creditors and enormous late fees because Debtscape, while automatically debiting my account each month, was not sending them in. Where has my hard-earned money gone? I call at least 3 times a week no one will return my calls and the customer service gives you the run around. I will never let anyone I know sign up with this company. My creditor has not recieved 2 payments in a row now but Debtscape has there money.

I am further into debt than I was 6 months ago and have been applying more money to my bills!

Where does one begin? Like some of the other complaints I too paid an up front fee and then monthly fees as well. I never understood (had it explained to me) that the monthly fee was not required and was a true donation. After being with them for three or four years and having that much more knowledge/experience I got them to stop taking the monthly fee. It was a big fight to make it happen and even when I was going through the process the person on the phone did not use plain and simple English to convey that I was not required to pay the monthly fee.

As I stated I have been with debtscape for three or four years. Their service is minimal at best and I feel rather cheated out of the fee I paid them at the beginning. They never call the creditors unless I put up a big fuss and require to talk to a manager. Once the manager gets on the phone they usually reluctantly comply and provide the service they claimed when I signed up with them.

I recently got a copy of my credit report and noticed it is not as clean as it should be. The biggest problem is that the only account I have left with them is showing that as of 11/2004 my account is 30 days past due. Truly amazing since I have been on direct debit with Debtscape since Aug/Sep. It turns out that a mistake was made by debtscape where the payment was returned. I noticed the problem when I got my October statement from the creditor and immediately called Debtscape (which was a challenge in itself).

When I spoke with Debtscape they told me of the situation and told me that if I had any negative impact from this to call them and they would call the creditor. As of this moment I am awaiting results. I will certainly post the results once I find out.

My credit is still really messed up. I have a negative mark from 11/2004 because of them. I also have a record of marks from Feb 2002-July 2002 because of them. There is absolutely no way that I could have gone five months with no payments and I have a check book to prove that. The problem is with how Debtscape processes their payments to the creditors. I think a government agency should investigate this group and award damages to clients as appropriate. I feel helpless because I rely on Debtscape for a service and when they fail it is my credit report that suffers. They were supposed to improve my credit and I do not see that happening.

My husband returned home from Iraq in July and did not go back to work right away. So, between his last Army pay and his first Civ job pay, we ran out of money. There was no money in the account for Debtscape to pay the October payment. The November money came out on time. I talked to Debtscape on the phone in November(yes, it took them that long to contact me) after MBNA called me to tell me they did not recieve an October or a November payment.

I expected to hear it about October, since we didn't have the money for October, but not November's). Well, Debtscape told me that they paid the October payment for me and then kept the November money to repay the October payment and just did not pay the November payment. They did not notify me to tell me they were doing this. MBNA told me that they did not recieve an October payment OR a November payment and that I was two payments behind. First People's Community Federal Credit Union did not recieve an October or November payment either.

Debtscape blames MBNA and MBNA blames Debtscape, even though FPCCU did not get any money either. Debtscape claimed to have talked to MBNA about it and MBNA claims that they did not. My Account Summary shows that MBNA did not get the October payment like Debtscape claims. Well, I had to pay MBNA almost $300.00 to catch up and pay January's payment. The FPCCU account is paid off. There were 2 other accounts that did not receive money either. We are paying one of them off tomorrow. Someone took my money(November's payment) and I want to know who has it and where it went. I want it back. I want to know who is lying to me. They think I am just going to let this drop and I am not.

Late charges for November's payment and two of the accounts were sent to collection.

I was told that I would have to pay one sum of $499.00 and that there would be no other charges but they have been charging me $25.00 a month and I have been doing this for about two years. I have tried to call the phone numbers to get hold of someone but the phone lines are busy .

I am so upset with them right now due to the fact they have me owing over $26,000. dollars on a card that I owe only around $2,050.00 on and this is making me sick. I can't get a hold of them and try to make them understand what they are doing. They have also messed up the amount on my other cards too, making them more than they should be. I have tried to contact by internet and the pages won't even come up.

They told me that my interest rates would go down, but on one it didn't. I was told that I wouldn't have to worry about any of this but I am.....

Debtscape, Inc. (formerly Neway, Inc) is a non-profit Credit Counseling Organization based in Linthicum, Maryland. My complaint is regarding their mishandling to pay-off the balance to my creditor, RBS Credit Card Services. I have been paying this account through Debtscape for over four years and want to pay the balance completely off. Here is a time line to detail the events to explain the unsatisfactory services rendered by Debtscape concerning my credit card account.

November 26, 2004: I mailed a certified letter with a return receipt and payment to Debtscape to pay-off my balance of $1,624.52 owed to my creditor RBS Credit Card Services. In addition, I e-mailed Debtscape to inform them of the forthcoming final payment to RBS. My payment to Debtscape was late.

November 29, 2004: Ronda Brunson, Debtscape Client Retention Specialist, responded to my e-mail to confirm receipt of payment and the release of funds to RBS.

December 2, 2004: RBS informed me via telephone that Debtscape did not send the final payment. I sent a follow-up e-mail to Debtscape concerning their failure to settle my account with RBS.

December 3, 2004: Ronda Brunson responded by e-mail to state that the payment was released by Debtscape to RBS on December 3, 2004 which contradicted her initial e-mail dated November 29, 2004. As a result, I contacted Debtscape by phone and spoke to William Bell, a Client Services Customer Representative. Mr. Bell confirmed that the funds were not released and assured me that the payment would be sent to RBS on December 7, 2004. I explained to Mr. Bell that I had received contradictory e-mails from Ronda Brunson asked to speak with a supervisor. Rob DiPaulo, Debtscape Client Services Supervisor, explained to me that my final payment of $1,624.52 was received by Debtscape and was entered into their system as a regular monthly payment of $106.00 to RBS. Mr. DiPaulo stated that the payment of $106.00 was mailed to RBS on December 1, 2004. The remaining payment of $1,518.52 was to be mailed to RBS on December 3, 2004. After speaking with Mr. DiPaulo, I began e-mailing and calling Dave Hensel, Debtscape CEO, to explain the deliberate misinformation by Ronda Brunson, William Bell, and Rob DiPaulo regarding my payment to RBS. Mr. Hensel assured me that the remaining balance of $1518.52 would be disbursed on December 3, 2004.

December 3, 2004: Letter from Ryan Schmidt, Debtscape Director of Operations informing me that payment of $1,512.52 was disbursed to RBS on December 3, 2004. The letter was sent by FedEx Priority Overnight. I signed for and received the letter on December 7, 2004.

December 7, 2004: I contacted RBS via telephone to discover that the account has not been paid.

December 8, 2004: I learned that Debtscape allegedly disbursed the check to RBS on December 6, 2004. The check was sent by regular mail (Note: The letter sent to me by Ryan Schmidt was sent FedEx Priority Overnight)

I am unhappy with Debtscapes handling of my payment and unsure if RBS will actually receive the remaining balance of $1,518.52. As of December 8, 2004, the balance with RBS continues to be outstanding. I have no substantial evidence that Debtscape will actually send RBS the remaining payment to pay-off my balance. It is ironic that they could send a letter to me overnight but would send a check by regular mail.

In their mission statement, Debtscape states they committed to providing all consumers with compassionate care and superior service. In my case they intentionally deceived me and fell short of providing superior service.

Addendum

December 10, 2004: I contacted RBS via telephone and spoke to Lisa Smith (1-800-345-0207). Ms. Smith confirmed that RBS had received payment from Debtscape in the amount of $1,512.52 and that there was an over payment of $100.00. (the balance had dropped down to $1,412.52). She stated the $100.00 over payment and statement showing the account as paid in full would be mailed to my attention.

December 18, 2004: I contacted RBS via telephone and spoke to Myra as I had not received the $100.00 nor my statement showing the account as paid in full. Myra asked me if my account was closed (which she shouldve known since she pulled up my account). She also told me that the over payment (originally $100.00) now has dropped down to $84.22. She stated I had to request the overpayment to be mailed to me along with a statement showing my account as paid in full for the second time. I am unsure if I will receive the over payment due back to me from RBS

Well, I enrolled in this program over 2 1/2 years ago. Thinking that this was a program that was really going to help me out. I only started with a balance of $6000 including all my accounts. After 2 1/2 years I have gotten no where. 1 of my accouts have been paid in full. All of my balances have gone up to an all time high from the start. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this program for NO ONE ALIVE WITH DEBT....THIS has been a NIGHTMARE.

I was not expecting to be on this program this long and I didn't expect to pay them a monthly fee, which is more than all of my monthly payments to my accounts. $42.00 a month they charge me and they don't really DO ANYTHING. If there is a problem with your statements, they expect you to contact them. I say, if you are charging me a fee per month. Then you need to keep track of my statements and making sure they are decreasing instead of increasing. I'm truly thinking about cancelling and just paying the rest off myself, before I have a Nervous breakdown. The call themselves a non-profit organization. That's BULL!

My problems with Debtscape started about the second month I was witht he program (one year ago). We were told that our first months payment would be used against our bills. It was not. It was used to set up our account. As a result, Debtscape was late with the very first payment to our creditors.

In Dec of 2003, Debtscape did not receive our check in a timely manner (due to Holiday mail problems). They made payment to our creditors, then took Jan 2004 payment back for themselves. We had no idea what had happened.

Over the period of a year, with 9 creditors on the program being paid for us, Debtscape missed at least one payment, or was late with payments each month for most of the creditors.

Our credit is shot. Prior to going to Debtscape, we had TOO good of credit. We had too much and was trying to work it back down to a managable level. Thanks to Debtscape, WE HAVE NO CREDIT!!

Debtscape's request to lower interest was not accepted by all creditors, as we were told it was. American Express informed me when I asked about the interest that would be paid back to me (should have been approx $4,000.00 in interest), that I was not eligible as Debtscape was late on most of the payments, the amount of the monthly payment was below the required amount, and American Express had never agreed to the payment plan.

My credit history is a mess now. I was making all my payment ontime and in the correct amounts owed prior to joining Debtscape. I just had too many bills.

I applied for a Home Equity Loan and was denied due to the problems we have had with Debtscape. We appealed and received our loan. We have paid off all of our creditors in full (no thanks to Debtscape).

This CCCS Failed to process a timely, Western Union Payment. This inaction plunged me deeper in debt than I will ever be able to pay back. The operators (I have their numbers) admitted to me on several occasions that the payment was overlooked, then, after a few months, made a blanket denial blaming it on Western Union. I had W Union investigate and they acknowledged that it arrived 5/23/2002 18:41 Et Before the end of the month.

I have many accounts. Direct Merchants bank was one of the worst. From 5.9 to 35% with interest and over the limit fees. MNBA, Bank One, Discover, all having a field day.

I signed with Debtscape January 2004 to manage my credit card debt. They began taking payments electronically from my bank account in Feb 2004 on the fifth of each month. Since then my creditors have gotten nothing but late payments from Debtscape. I have contacted Debtscape about this, they say there is nothing they can do about this and refuse to help me in any way. I contacted my creditors about the late payments they have been recieving from Debtscape and my creditors agree that getting late payments from Debtscape should not be happening especially when Debtscape recieves thier payment from me on the fifth of each month and Debtscape has a serious problem in getting the payments to them.

Before Debtscape I had a perfect rating with the credit bureaus and I never had a late payment with them.I signed up with Debtscape because my credit card debt was overwhelming. Now with Debtscape I have nothing but late payments to my creditors. My credit bureau reports are negative and my credit history has been ruined because of Debtscape not paying my creditors on time. My good name and good credit history has been destroyed by Debtscape and I want to file a lawsuit against Debtscape. I have been terribly wronged by Debtscape !!!!!

My husband and I were separated and I had a couple of accounts that were in my name but he had opened; I just signed for them or one of them at least. During the separation he wouldn't pay them. They became behind on payment and there was no way that I would ever get out of debt. The only option I thought I had was to reduce the interest rate in order to get them paid off. I trusted him with finances and if he got to where he was tight on money he would let the accounts in my name be late; ruining my credit. I found this out when he was going to let me take care of the paper work to buy a new house.

DebtScape I thought would help me get out of debt sooner. It was suppose to be a paid in 2 years and that was a year ago. Now I can't seem to access my account online; the website no longer exist. The same thing with the fees and and accounts being counted late on credit report. I was truly trying to make a difference and pay these but I'm afraid I'll never get out of debt now. I understand that if I make a payment that it councils my agreement with them whether if they will continue to charge me fees I don't know.

I like the interest rate they were able to get for me. It's something that I couldn't of done without there help due to the credit my husband established for me. I am now smarter and a little more leary about signing anything.
I would love to see someone like them honestly try to help victims instead of digging us deeper in a whole.

Paid a large amount of money to be enrolled. Then my accounts were still deliquent so I had to get them current when that is what I thought I was doing after all.

This is one of the many debt consolidation sites availabe today. I signed up with them over a year ago in hopes of reducing and elminating my credit card debt. I was however mislead. Not only are they taking money for they're services (they proposed to be not for profit) and take money for they're service without being forthcoming about it, but I also am now faced with larger credit card debt due to late charges and penalities. So bascially i'm paying them to make my credit card balances go up. I have contacted them numerous times, but have received no satisfaction. They don't tell you that they take a fee until your already enrolled, they don't follow through if you continue receiving late charges and they don't do what they claim they're going to do.

I am now faced with a credit card debt that is almost 2x what it was when i signed up with this consolidation service. I have no idea how i'll ever get my credit card balances back to where they were.
