Ariella of New York, NY October 1, 2008

I signed up for a debt settlement service using Credit Solutions. I made three payments of 102 and 12 payments of 67 on the promise that they would settle credit card debt I had with various companies. They did not settle any claims, in fact my situation got worse as these companies began to sue me and eventually put a lien on my bank account. Credit Solutions specifically told me not to talk to debt collectors that they would discuss a settlement on my behalf. Every time I called them asking for an update I was told to check my online account.

After more than a year, nothing appeared on my online account and nothing happened through the phone either. When I finally tried to cancel my account with them, they lectured me, patronized me and insulted me. They put me on hold for more than a half hour and then finally canceled my account. They never told me that the first 13 payments were service fee payments and they never once sent me any information through the mail. It became increasingly more difficult to talk to them the longer I was on the program. Not only did my situation get worse while working with Credit Solutions, I lost money that I could have been using to settle accounts.

I canceled the account. A lien was put against my bank account. Paid over 1,000 in Service fees.

Jenny of Carbon Hill, AL September 29, 2008

I joined Credit Solutions and was told that my first 3 payments were their fees and I was lead to believe that after that a portion of my monthly payments went into an account for me so that they could pay my creditors. After paying tham monthly for almost a year I found out that the payments I had been making were totaly for their fees only and that none of was going to an account for my creditors. Iplaced many phone calls and e-mails to them that went un-returned until I wrote to them that I had closed tha account that their payments were coming from.

They canceled my account after they tried to pressure me to stay with them. They did nothing for me during the time I was paying them. they said they would be in contact with my creditors and get settlement offers. The only settlement offers I got were from letters that I had faxed to them from a creditor. Creditors continued to call me and send me letters even though they said that this would stop. I am now filing bankruptcy and Have one creditor suing me. They refused my request for any kind of refund. It would help me a lot to just get back the money I paid them.

Debts to my creditors have increased. I have one creditor suing me and I am in the process of filing bankruptcy, which I had wanted to avoid. My financial situation will be very poor for years. It will be very hard for me to pay my bills every month for 5 or 6 years because I will have to file chapter 13. This would not have happened if I had not followed their advise.

Donna of Virginia Beach, VA September 19, 2008

I turned my credit cards over to them for debt consolidation, with the belief that a minimum payment would be made to my creditors every month, and needless to say, that hasn't happened. So in turn my debt has almost doubled. All I want is for my account to cancelled and a refund of at least some of my money and for this not to happen to someone else that thinks they're doing the right thing.

I have now been put in the situation of having to file bankruptcy because the accounts they have total more than my year salary. I have no way out but bankruptcy!

back in 06 we joined Credit Solutions, we were told that they would reduce our debt and our credit would not be harmed but rather at the end of the program would be better! They also said creditors do not sue! We were sued four times! I complained to the BBB, credit solutions gave us a refund and assigned our accounts to one representative to help us,

that went on for 1 month, than his number was no longer in use and his e-mail doesn't work, we could not get a hold of this representative! When I asked if we cold continue to work with him they said he was no longer working in that department! Now our debts are ten times larger than they were and we get no help!

our credit is destroyed and we cannot refinance our home, we have three different debt collectors all belonging to the same company trying to get money from the same debt it has destroyed any chance of cleaning up our credit report and we still have several outstanding outrageous debts to pay off, we have wound up paying twice as much as we originally owed,

when we call credit solutions we are put on hold and left there, they have ruined our lives and deleted our sav ings and destroyed our once stellar credit! Before signing with them our credit scores were in the upper 700's now there down below 500! and everyday we continue to get harrassing calls from creditors, threatening lawsuits, we are trying to get funds together to pay this off before we get sued again!

I called Credit Soulutions and they suckered me into thinking using them was the best soultion to filing BK. About a week later I realized I could not even pay them it was pay them or have gas and food. It also did not make sense as my credit would still be ruined! I called back and spoke to Kenneth about 5 days before the first draft he said he could not stop it but would cancel me. I relaized I lost the first payment.

Just today I called back and asked why nobody has responded to my 6 emails about a cancelation letter I did not feel comfortable since all my bank info was still on the website. I spoke to Camille for about 30 minutes who demanded that me not wanting to use them anymore was not a good enough reason to cancel. Meanwhile Kenneth had already allegedly cancelled it. She lectued me about bankruptcy and was practically demanding I use them. Finally I got a lil nasty and she said fine ill email you the letter and hung up. I got an email but Im a lil leary the cancelled it. They are very rude and mean and unprofessional. I am so mad.

I would like to join the class action law suit against credit solutions. they took my money and then basically aren't doing anything for me and they wont refund my money. My account is not able to be settled with american express because I made balance transfers which is what was recommended by credit solutions and now my debt is larger then it was before and I have creditors threatening me.

So now I have lost the 2400 I gave credit solutions and I have tons more debt then when I started. I am trying to get my money back but somehow I doubt they will send me the money. please help!

Teresa of San Jose, CA August 22, 2008

In November 2007 I signed up with Credit Solutions. I basically inquired and then they kept calling me everyday. I was in the hospital for a month and that set me back 2-3 payments on 4 of my high limit credit cards plus I was also getting laid off. Stressed and wanting to do the right thing I enrolled in Credit Solutions based on JD Powers and NBC. Plus I needed help! Well after making 3 hefty payments in the beginning for there fees I thought the rest of the money was going to a savings account which they lead you to beleive. After getting numerous collector calls, no account status, and charge off letters I sent Credit Solutions a message keep in mind this is 6 months after I signed up asking them what the HELL they were doing.

Now I am in more debt because my cards incurred more late fees and some of them are at Charge Offs! I complained to Credit Solutions and next thing you know I get a settlement 3 weeks later for what I originally owed! I could of done that in the first place but thought Credit Solutions new what they were doing.

4 of my credit cards that had balances of 2000 are now increased to 4000 that is double what I owed in the first place. I paid credit solutions 1022.40 for NOTHING!!! My credit is awful I dare not look and I now have a charge offs, collections and warnings on my credit report. They made things worse for me. Now I have to start from zero. I have more debt and I am so stressed that it is affecting my health.

Anitra of Arlington, TX August 14, 2008

I signed up with Credit Solutions in June of 2007 with the estimate of settling my debt for about 60% of what I owed. They urge you to completely quit paying your bills because that's the only way the creditors will offer settlement. I have settled 4 of my 6 accounts but am not going to be able to settle all of them anywhere near the estimated amount. The customer service is awful and I have numerous correspondence reflecting the lack of cooperation by them.

I have awful credit and am not able to settle the last two accounts, because they way under estimated the amount I would have to pay.

Cristina of San Jose, CA August 6, 2008

i enrolled 3 accounts with them for debt help over a year ago. since then i have paid them 970.00 for their service fee and have had to do most of the work myself. the 1st account that was settled i had to practically twist their arm to do and make repeated calls to them to have it happen. the 2nd account i enrolled at 3831.00, it is now over 5000.00 and i have been summoned to appear in court to have a judgement lien on me.

i talked to Credit Solutions and i was told they were sorry they did not follow through with my account and that was it! i now need to come up with 1000.00 by the end of this month (august) and pay monthly payments to my creditor or else be taken to court. the time frame of payments was not set due to they are still adding up my fees. so i went to credit solutions becuase i was not able to pay my creditors and now i owe them even more due to credit solutions.

i am going to try to borrow money now to pay off my bigger debt accured due to credit solutions and i need to try to settle my last account myself. i am out my 970.00 that i paid credit solutions for apparently messing up my credit even more.
