Rose from 1-800 called my home around 6.30pm tonight. I advised her that I did not want to use their service and to discontinur calls immediately. She said 'so you are handling your 13k debt with dow financial on your own' i advised her that we were and it was none of her business.. she then began to verbally yell over me and interrupt me with a list of creditors and amounts that i owe them. I advised her it was no longer any of her concern and she ended the call by hanging up on me while I was still talking. I used *69 and captures her phone number.

I then called back to discuss with a manager, this was no doubt her private line, she said this program was not for people 'like me' and hung up again, I called back and got her voice mail. I advised her that I would be reporting her. About 15 minutes later I recieved another call from the same company but from another representitive named Damien. He again wanted to discuss my debt and who I owed and his program. I advised he was in violation of a cease and desist order I gave to Rose. He continued to try to coherse me into his program. I demanded that he give me his name- he hung up on me.

I called *69 and captured his phone number as well 1-800. I called him on this number which is also a direct line and made sure I had his name correctly and he also hung up on me. I then went to the internet and called credit solutions and spoke to a man who stated that he saw that a cease and desist was ordered by the first representitive. I gave the story to him and he stated that Damien did not document the call. He also said that all of their calls were recorded, yet neither of the first two representitives gave me the monitor and recording disclosure.

Fact is- I have debt but not enough to qualify for the 10k minimum. If they count all debt including items I am current on I will have 10k in debt. But you cannot settle on student loans or on debt that is not delinquent. It was determined a long time ago I did not qualify for the program and future contact was not necessary. I feel opressed, abused and harassed by these two individuals and I want to know what this company plans to do about it. Its obvious they work on commission and their attitudes towards consumers mirror debt collectors desperate for a bonus check... at the very least they should check their records and see that i dont qualify for the program before they interrupt my time continuously after I have stated (and they have documented) NO CALLS. I have also contacted legal councel on grounds of harassment. Rediculous.

I should be enjoying my afternoon instead of recieving multiple calls from a counceling company that I cant even USE!

NCS appeared on my credit report for 2 a/cs alleged from IDT- they simply re-aged accounts that exceed the statute of limitations- this is illegal

Bruce of Alamosa, CO February 21, 2009

When I signed up with Credit Solutions they told me that not to answer or talk to any of our creditors that they would work our creditors. We have paid Credit Solutions over 4000 dollars and my credit is worse than when I enrolled in their program. I am being taken to court and received a writ of garnishment from one of my creditors. That 4000 dollars i paid to Credit Solutions could have gone to my creditors. I now am filing for bankruptcy because I am so behind and in debt that this is the only alternative I have know to protect my family from living on the streets.

I am being taken to court and creditors are garnishing my wages. I cannot support my family when my livelihood is being taken. I am under extreme direst and it has taken a toll on me emotionally.

Nicole of Mastic, NY February 20, 2009

I signed up with Credit Solutions in October of 2007. My credit was so/so at the time, I would fall behind on a payment here and there but nothiing crucial. We had recently taken in my disabled father & mother and were expecting our second child so I could foresee trouble on the horizon. The pitch I was given was that if I could out 550/month asiade in a separate bank account I would be able to pay off all my debt in the next 4 years, that my debts would be settled for 60% less than the actual balances, and Credit Solutions would work with my creditors to avoid any harassing phone calls, lawsuits, etc.

Not one word of that was true. I had to pay out over 1,500 before they did anything and then another 250/month for the next year (the other 250 was to be saved in my account to go towards my debts). I did settle 3 accounts. However, all 3 required me personally speaking with the credit companies and then relaying those messages to Credit Solutions b/c I was in contract with them. The 250 per month I was saving towards debt didn't help me because my first settlement was for 180/month for 6 months I think which was fine, but the second one was for 666 per month which was in addition to the 250 I was still paying Credit Solutions. The 3rd account I had to appear in court for and they settled for about 1,000 more than I owed them when I signed with credit solutions and I have to pay them 180 per month for the next 3 years.

I tried to cancel my agreement about 3 months ago and was told that the companies would get vicious and take me to court or garnish my wages, so they convinced me to freeze my contract. They would not deduct funds for November, December or January so I could catch up financially, and they would tack those payments on to the end of my contract. They ended up taking out January's fee anyway, for which the money was not available and caused an overdraft fee on my account. I called to complain and request my money and fee back and was told that since I was considering cancelling they couldn't do that. I ended up having to tell them I would stay on the plan. They finally reimbursed my 250 but never refunded my overlimit fee. I have since then cancelled my policy with them and now face the burden of trying to explain to all these creditors why they haven't been paid in over a year.

My Credit Score is demolished, I am falling behind on other bills to keep up with these settlements because I dont want to default on them, and I just received another summons to appear in court for the full balance on another card. My husband and I are now at risk of having our power shut off, and possible foreclosure because there is just enough money to keep paying credit solutions, the settlements and all our current monthly bills. Plus now that I need to try and negotiate with the creditors who have not been paid in over a year, they will not take what I can afford, they want large sums of money which I just don't have. I paid credit solutions over 4,000 and now am even further in debt then when I started!

Mike of Tinley Park, IL February 10, 2009

We contacted Credit Solutions in mid-September, 2008. They said they would negotiate with our creditors to receive a settlement offer. They began the first of October withdrawing payments from our checking account. They said the phone calls from creditors would stop. They never did. They got worse, and sometimes received up to 50 calls per day at home and at work. We contacted them several times between September and mid-December to find out what actions they had taken to settle these debts for us. We were told at that time that there was a 90 day waiting period before they could begin any settlement negotiations. We were upset that nothing had been done yet, so they offered to stop the January withdrawal from our account, which they did. They also said they would begin negotiations for two of the credit cards and should have a settlement within 3-4 days.

Never received any calls from them. They withdrew their February payment from our account. At this point, we were really getting tired of the phone calls. I decided to talk to the creditors myself and see if I could negotiate with them. After about two hours on the telephone, I had settled most of the accounts myself. I then called Credit Solutions and asked if they could send me copies of any settlement agreements, especially the two they said they would have for us back in December. There were none. When I talked to our creditors, the first thing I asked them was if they had been contacted by Credit Solutions in any way to negotiate settlements. All checked back in their files, and all said No.

The creditors were very easy to work with and were glad we were making an attempt to settle the debts. Credit Solutions, on the other hand, was very upset. I did ask them for a refund of the payments we made, which totaled almost 1,200.00. The girl I talked to said they had no refund policy, but they do have an Account Review Team. They could review our case. They were to return my call the following Monday. That never happened either. The girl in Customer Relations was very upset with us and said You ruined everything! That's why we don't want YOU talking to the creditor! None of my answers for them were ever answered. I never got copies of any settlement offers (because there weren't any).

I closed our account with Credit Solutions on that Saturday, despite much disapproval from them. She was not kind at all! But then again, neither was I. I was trying to make my point that it didn't cost ME anything to settle with my creditors, and it only took me about two hours. How come they couldn't get anything done in five months? Every person we talked to at Credit Solutions tried to make US to look like the bad guys. They also tried to make the credit card companies look bad by lying about what they're after and how they settle accounts. Credit Solutions was doing to us what they SAID the credit card companies would do to us. I did make the credit card companies aware of what Credit Solutions was saying. They were not happy, but also not surprised. They said they have had many problems with Credit Solutions themselves.

First, our credit rating is totally ruined. We no longer have ANY credit cards. We have lost almost 1,200.00 in fees paid to Credit Solutions for absolutely NO SERVICE. We could have used that money to pay creditors. My wife was so depressed about all of this, she tried to take her own life. Fortunately, she did not succeed. But we are now left with hospital and doctor bills, along with additional prescriptions for her. Because Credit Solutions did not attempt to resolve any of our accounts, we incurred many overlimit and late fees on our accounts. When we did finally settle with the creditors, they all wanted some of their money right away. We had to borrow money from relatives to keep us afloat financially until these matters are finally taken care of.

Tammy of Raceland, LA February 8, 2009

First of all, they tell you what you need to hear to sign up. Then, when I tried to get in touch with the person who set me up, he's no longer available. Several different sales people tell you so many different stories, at that point, you don't know what to believe. They take money out of your account, without doing anything for you. They made me go into late fees on my credit cards, got attorney letters that I was getting sued, but they continue to tell you, don't speak to anyone, that's O.K. and they will handle it.

Finally, i got fed up and spoke with the creditors myself, and some of them settled and some are still with attorneys. I am in worse shape now than when I was before. I can't even get a loan to pay off the debts, because my credit score is so bad now. My credit was great when i got into this program, and now it's ruined for 7 years. This is so unfair. We were falsely represented, and I feel this program is a Rip Off!

My credit is totally ruined, they took about 1700.00 dollars from me, which i could have used to pay these creditors, and now I'm getting letters from attorney's that If I don't pay these debts soon, they will take immediate action against me.

Chris of Novato, CA February 3, 2009

I got sucked into this company to help me settle my credit card debt since I have not been able to work for over 2 years - I paid them good money and was told just to sign and not worry about reading anything - that they would send letters out to creditors (which never got done) I continue to receive harrassing phone calls from people I owe money too and then I found out the money I paid to them was just for their services and nothing else. I asked to cancel right after the first time they deducted money of my account and was told I couldn't I have paid them over 2000 plus dollars and nothing has been done to resolve my various calls at all hours of the day. I just want a refund and I don't think they should be in business.

They lied to me about where my money was going and that they would send letters out to my creditor's which since 9/08 - no one person has received a letter from these people. If there is a class action going on with this case - my name can be added.

Francis E Morrow of Delphi, IN January 15, 2009

I paid three payments of 168 and some change. Then I paid their fees in full with a 1147 and some change. I had extra money and asked them (some guy who called) to settle all my debts, this was 9-26-08. It is now Jan. 14th, 2009 and I have had no contact from them after repeated attempts to email. Most recently I just requested a refund since I still receive all the collector calls( they said they would handle them) and not one settlement offer has been delivered. That 1600 I paid them might have kept my credit rating from getting worse and could have been paid to my creditors!

After my divorce it is very difficult to get back on my feet. My X husband made 100k yr but the debts were in my name so now I make less than 20k. Quite a HUGE change in my living expenses and I needed help. I had depended on Credit Solutions to help me do this. They have turned their back on me, not responded and I bet they have (my) money to pay their bills. THANKS CREDIT SOLUTIONS for screwing me over, ruining my credit and chances of rebuilding my life! Now these companies have sued me, my credit is the lowest it had ever been and I feel stupid for thinking that a company would actually do what they say!

Nicole of West Palm Beach, FL January 2, 2009

I enrolled in Credit solutions in July of 2008. I was a student, trying to make ends meet. I thought CS was a life saver. Finally be debt free... i could finally get a better student loan and didnt have to hold 2 full time jobs anymore just to pay min. payments on a credicard. I was wrong, so wrong. You know that saying.... if its too good to be true then it probably is... well Credit solutions was.

I was under the impression i was paying them a fee of 76 a month and my interest rates would be cut on top of my accounts being settled. What they dont tell you is when your waiting for things to be settled you credit hurts even more. All my creditcards were put in collections. I would get harrassed everyday by creditors. When i would contact CS they would say that they were handling it. I finally pulled my credit report. i wen from a 658 to a 545 from being in this program.

I contacted all my creditcard companies, they NEVER RECIEVED ANYTHING FROM CREDIT SOLUTIONS!!! i paid for nothing... fraud it what that company is!!!! i went from owing 1700 on one credit card to 2600, from finance fees, late charges, and then overlimit charges! whatever you do DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!

im a 21yo med student... i cant qualify for any loans because of this.. my future/dreams are ruined.

Gerald of Sault Ste Marie, MI December 22, 2008

Requested info regarding exact details on how debt was to be settled and what monthly costs were going to be, at time told customer service rep to put account on hold till we made a decision based on info provided. Company did not put account on hold and debited my bank account without my permission, they claim that I was supposed to have been sent an approved cancellation request which was Notmentioned at time that I had initially spoke with csr, they did send me a form/waiver to sign which I did and emailed back within an hour of recieving it, in retrospect I many have signed the realise unwittngly but under the situation I needed that the money be replaced back into my account as we had other obligations and just wanting them to honor their word. But it has in the interim become blatantly obvious that their word hold no value.

as a result my bank was debited and went on to overdraft to sum of over 200.00 in addition they said they would happily refund fee and cover overdraft charges with in 24-48 hours once they reviewed the case and someone would get back to me soon, I never did get a call and a week later I called them again, once again got bouced around from departemnt to department with once again a promise they would resolve the issue and get back to me in a few minutes, two hours later still no call after being assured that as a courtesy they would look into the file and get back to me. The orginal reason we went to credit solution was to get help getting out of debt and fullfill our financial commitments. Recieved a call saying they were going to replace funds and overdrafts charges, still nothing.
