The Credit Counseling Foundation

3350 NW 53 street Suite #103
Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Timothy of FPO New York (8/16/03):
I filed for bill consolidation over 2 years ago and since that time the web-site was changed. No contact has been made with me after the initial filing for consolidation. I had called the office and they assured me that I would recieve a print-out of amounts still owed; so far nothing after 2 years? I have one creditor that is taking the money they are supposed to be sending in directly from my checking account and the credit counseling foundation must be keeping the rest of my payments because this has happened numerous times as well as late charges being put on my accounts.

I am in the military overseas and have a great deal of things to be concrened over, not a company that says they would help me. This could result in a problem with the military if they do not start doing their jobs in a professional manner as requested by one of their clients.

Michael of Grand Prairie TX (7/19/03):
This business called me up to help me consolidate my unsecured credit card bills with them. So that I can eliminated interest rates and other charges charged by the credit card companies and also be able to finish off my debt in a less time that thought. The company gave me a condition to draw money out of my account every 15th of the month for $215.00 to pay the creditors. They also took out $215.00 as deposit used in the last month of the pay off. Until today, I am receiving both calls and statements from creditors showing no payments made to them. The creditors are Bank of America, Direct Merchant Bank, and Providian Financial.

Both my integrity and credit rating is being messed up with the creditors. Calls are injuring my privacy, I have called the company and left a message but they have always ignored and refused to call me back. I have given them my new address but they recently sent a letter to an old address demanding me to pay instead yet they take money out of my account.

Camille of Bozeman MT (10/3/02):
We signed up for a debt consolidation program, promising that our late fees and interest rates would go down. We had to pay over $500 up front as a "deposit", the amount of our monthly payments, which was to be refunded when our debts were paid off. So our creditors got nothing the first month. After that, our creditors waited months to get the proposal from CCF, we continually got debt collection calls, nothing was done that was promised, then my husband worked out better deals with lower rates than CCF had promised us by dealing directly with the credit card companies. We asked for our deposit back. CCF says we defaulted on the program, so we don't get it back.

Gerald of San Francisco (11/6/02):
They are jeopardizing my job and livelihood. We made an agreement that I send to the credit counsel foundation ($437) every month and then they forward it to the creditors that I owe. I have to constantly waste my time and jeopardize my job because the creditors are not posting payments on the bills and charging me late fees. The Credit Counseling foundation (after we make the agreement on terms of payment) does not send the payment to the creditors (allegedly saying that they send the payments electronically) LATE.

I am being charged for something because the creditors do not want to put the correct information on the bills and the credit counseling foundation does not want to make a payment by the due date (knowing when the due date is): after the fact that payments are being made.
