Receivable Solutions, Inc.

Columbia, SC

Wade of Ware Shoals, SC March 3, 2010

I had gastric bypass surgery at Lexington Medical Center on June 19, 2007. I am on disability. My part of what Medicare did not pay was 992.00. This was turned over to Receivable Solutions because I was unable to pay. After 3 years, Receivable Solutions called me in February 2010. David offered to settle with me for 500.00 to close out the account # H28308013. I explained to him that I did not have the money at that time but I would have it in March. He accepted.

Today, March 3, 2010, I called Receivable Solutions in order to pay the 500.00. I talked to Betty, Assistant to the Director. She said they could not accept the 500.00 settlement. I had 48 hours after David told me he would settle for the 500.00 and I told him it would be March before I could get the money. He agreed. Now, Receivable Solutions has called Lexington Medical Center and talked to billing. The lady in collections at Lexington Medical said they would not settle for what I said; they wanted the 772.00.

They are also billing me for 627.83 that was suppose to have been paid by Medicare but Medicare declined to pay this amount because it was for an intern to watch the anathesiologist. Now, my wife is also on disability and between the two of us, we don't have the money to pay any more than what I offered them. This has gone on my Credit Report but more than that it has caused severe depression. I am under a doctor's care for it.

Kelly of Columbia, SC January 25, 2010

I recieved a letter on 11/17/09 dated 11/10/09, to remind me that my payment for 30.00 was approaching and I needed to make the payment by 11/16/09. I called first thing on 11/18/09, and was transferred to Miss C's. I explained to Miss C's that my father paid the balance of 60.00 in August. She explained that they would need a copy of the cancelled check and wanted to know if I had it. I told her I didn't have it, but could get it to her as soon as possible. She told me that they were in the process of reporting my deliquency to the credit reporting agencies, but would hold off until the dispute was resolved.

I called back later in the day to let her know that my father was getting a copy of the cancelled check and I would get it to her as soon as I received a copy. I spoke with her supervisor, Ms. Chloe and she stated that they were looking into it. I called Miss C's on two more occaisions asking her to let me know the status of the situation, but received no return calls. I received a copy of the cancelled check and faxed it to Miss C's on 11/24/09, and I also called her to have her confirm she received it.

I did not receive a return call. I received another collection letter dated 12/10/09, on 12/19/09. This time I spoke with Kristi. She requested the same information and gave me her fax number. I faxed everything to her on 12/20/09. She received my information and told me that the issue had been resolved.

I received a copy of my credit report on Friday, January 22, 2010, and the information has been reported to the credit agencies. Although it shows that the bill has been paid, it should never have been reported in the first place. Someone dropped the ball and as a result I have a negetive information on my credit report.
