I called to let them know Dish agreed they put it on by mistake, that I didn't owe them no money; in fact they were sending refund that they needed take it off my credit. They said, "We don't do that." Well, you put it on now, saying I have to wait 45 to 60 days for my credit fix, how is that right? I've done nothing wrong, terrible company.

Well, I get calls and I got a letter in the mail. When I called the phone number on the letter and it doesn’t say their company name it just connects you to a representative. Yes I can tell that they sound like they come from a different country. They said that my bank works with them to collect a debt. My bank said, "We do not have companies like that working with us to collect your debt. There are a third-party collection agency that pays your debt pennies on the dollar" Which means that they buy your debt are ready this agency and then they hire your payment to collect the money, which I never heard this company ever before. Never signed with this company before so dealing business with this company I don’t owe them a thing. I don’t owe them the money that they paid my debt already.
They already paid it for me so yes, it is a scam so which I called them, got them on the line stating that they were a third-party company. Bought my debt and what they told me, "Well, you can go and resolve this and pay." The bank means go into my bank and pay it myself which I already know it’s fraudulently and they shouldn’t be doing this and by the way they asked for your four digit of your Social Security do not give it to them.

They sent (in the mail, must be hand delivered) my husband’s work a garnishment order. In the order, it states they need no court order to garnish. THIS is NOT a federal loan they are trying to collect on, it’s an FFELP from 2005. They MUST get a court order. All his loans were consolidated and taken care of. This loan is something we have no idea what it is. And it’s NOT a federal loan. Therefore they can not collect on it 14 years later. This company is a joke. It went from 200 to 12000???? We Already have our attorneys working on it.

TWO CASES FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS!!! First case: These fraudulent nutcases flat out lied and attempted to fraudulently collect on a school loan, that I had paid off two years earlier, and had the official receipt from the loan company, that my debt had been paid in full more than 24 months earlier. Even now, TEN YEARS AFTER the loan was paid in full, this fraudulent company continues to call and send me mail that I still owe $4,500. Oh but wait... They are willing to settle for just $312.00. SCAM!!!
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE... Second case: This lying fraudulent company continued to call me 14 times attempting to collect from someone who I've had ZERO CONTACT with for over nine years! Each time I told them it's been NINE YEARS since I've had any contact with that person! I have no idea where they live, nor their phone number, nor where they work. I finally said, "Sucks to be you, I have no contact with them, and if I do, I'll tell them about the Statue Of Limitations, and that you won't be able to collect from her." (Instant silence on the other end.) I then read a prepared statement about Harassment via Electronic means via Maryland Law (CRIMINAL LAW. § 3-805), cited civil law, plus also cited some FCC laws, indicating that I will sue them in criminal and civil court if they called me again. They stopped!

Long story short. Brad ** began calling me about a student loan I paid in full to another company. Somehow he piggy backed off the loan and said that it wasn't reported paid in full. I told him the loan was paid. I had proof and stop calling me. He wouldn't. I told him I would be getting a lawyer to fight the accusations. When it was all said and done Brad ** and Allied called me trying to get money but ended up paying my lawyer's fees and myself. I haven't heard from that sum mum ma ** since. Last laugh!!!

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I paid them 6 grand to get a 1000 sq foot apartment full of stuff from Michigan to Colorado. Mike ** over quoted my move by several thousand pounds, even after I pointed out to them that I likely did not have this much stuff. He said he would not change his quote, so I accepted. They took my stuff on the day they said they would, and said my stuff would arrive in a one week period of time (the 15th-22nd for example). My stuff did not arrive in that one week period of time. We were stuck in a new state, with no significant amount of money, with only what we could fit in our car that we drove across country with. We called every day - they told us our stuff is in a warehouse and there is no driver assigned - they told us this EVERY DAY for two weeks. Two weeks later we get half of our stuff. IT TOOK ANOTHER 4 WEEKS to get the rest of our stuff to our house.
I call customer service multiple times - they say I cannot get any money back because it is illegal to change the quote when it is interstate. They end up giving me $900 dollars back. I ask for more money back - stating they did not provide the services I paid them for - they tell me to go ** myself. All I can do now is tell other people to avoid these scammers. They may have a big national name - which is why I thought they would be fine - but they made my move a living hell - but hey they made 5 grand so what do they care?

Everyday all day, I keep getting phone calls from 214-459-4564 and when I do decide to answer they ask is it me and when I respond, "Yes it is," then they go into asking if it's me by my whole name, which is stupid! If I answer the phone and you called my first name and I say, "Yes this is she, how can I help you?" Why go into asking if it's me again. They call all day and want leave a message and it's annoying especially while I'm at work. So I have blocked the number and hope they stop calling.

Allied Interstate has been calling me as well. I have put them on the block list due to the fact that they are a collections agency. I have found out that once a company sells your account/agreement with them that your account is now "Null and void" due to the fact that it was sold and is no longer a part of the original agreement/contract. So it will not be getting paid. I rather pay Lexington Law to have this removed off my credit. I think this information could be useful to a few people.

I've been receiving calls every day from them for several weeks now. I've never heard of the person that they're trying to collect from. Since I don't have any business with them I just blocked all their numbers with the blocking feature on my iPhone. But they just kept calling back with more numbers, some of which are fake and say they're disconnected when I call back, and occasionally they call using No Caller ID. This has been getting on my nerves because it constantly rings when I'm trying to go to bed or early in the morning. So a week ago I started to pick up and talk to them to try and get them to stop. I found out that they're based in the Philippines. They also lied and told me that they don't call from multiple number or fake numbers or blocked numbers. I also asked them to stop calling. But like clockwork they keep calling.
Yesterday they called me and I did the same thing. Told them to stop calling because I'm not the person they're looking for. And the representative didn't believe me, apparently, so he kept insisting and gave me the full name, City, and State of the person that they're trying to reach. I managed to find that person on Facebook using those details and I'm currently trying to figure out if I can submit any lawsuit or complaint to my State Attorney General. My state allows one party consent to record calls. I have them all recorded.

Okay... For thing, I haven't defaulted on a loan, and my phone number previously belonged to someone else, but I have tried to tell creditors that before and because they think they are so much smarter than the consumer, they didn't believe me. This morning, 4/5/2017 at 2:30 IN THE MORNING(!) I get a robo call from these liars/nut jobs. Breaking soliciting call rules in a couple of ways. Thankfully I have call block on my phone and I should have put them on that list a long time ago.

First of all, it would be super swell to actually understand what the person is saying. SPEAK ENGLISH!! Secondly, I have not carried the last name they are requesting to speak to in over 17 years (previous marriage). The student loan is from 1995 and when I did go into default on my student loans, the IRS made sure in 1998 I paid them off by withholding my tax refund. I have not had a single issue with creditors, loans, mortgages, etc since that year. Why would they all of a sudden start calling? Be careful. I ran my credit score and check after the first initial call a week ago and I have no outstanding balances, no bad creditors, no defaults. Scam alert.

I'm sick and tired of getting calls from Allied Interstate. They’re trying to collect a debt from someone named Christie, but I don’t even know anyone named Christie. Sometimes the caller ID says 800-258-8074, but sometimes it's another number. I’ve looked up the number online and tried to find out more about Allied Interstate. ** seemed to have some helpful information, like just telling the debt collector that they have the wrong number. I tried that, and the guy said they'd take my number off their list, but I still get at least one call a week from them. I’m pretty much at my wit's end.

This company is highly misinformed and very rude and aggressive. The calls are harassing and derogatory. The representatives lie and did not keep their end of the agreement. I was laid off from my job... fell behind on payments. Started working a new job and was working to get finances back in order. I was offered a settlement that was soon to expire... I called to accept the settlement. I was informed that if I accepted the settlement that account would be closed. In order to save account from being closed, I accepted a payment arrangement that was automatically withdrawn from my checking account. I was re-assured by the Allied rep that the account would remain open and that the account would be brought to a current status. Falsely informing me... I learned that the account was already closed prior to this arrangement. Now that I have learned account was closed, I also learned that it is no longer behind due to recent payments.
I am upset that I have been misinformed on the status of the account by Allied... I called Synchrony Bank and they refuse to acknowledge the settlement offer since the account is now in a good payment status. Had I known that the account was already closed... I would have just accepted the settlement offer. Now I owe the entire balance of the account because it's in good standing, and the account is closed. This company has misinformed reps that seriously need to get the facts straight before they even call the account holders. They lied. I kept my end of the agreement and they failed to keep theirs... Now they do not hold any responsibility to the account since it's in good standing.

I am looking into setting up a class action lawsuit against Allied Interstate for predatory practices. I have been trying to work with them on my student loan but I find the fees they are charging me outweigh the benefit. I will admit that I was lax in paying on my student loans and they went into default. My advanced degree did not really help me financially in my job. Ultimately I was garnished for 15% of my gross income. I have been paying around $900 a month out of my pay for the last 2 years totaling just shy of $20,000. With the fees they are charging me over 2 years my overinflated $80,000 debt was only reduced by around $1500.
I lost my apartment and was billed over $10,000 to get out of my lease. My credit cards are maxed. My credit rating is in the toilet. I have pawned my jewelry. I am 2 payments behind in my car and I am about to lose it. Currently I am renting from a family member but he is talking about selling and moving somewhere warm. I definitely have more going out than coming in and soon could be living on the street. I am attributing all this sorrow to the garnishment and lack of support from Allied Interstate. I had to give them one star. If I could have selected none I would.

I'm a disabled Desert Storm Veteran and this Company has been calling daily, demanding personal information without stating the nature of their business and when I insist on what it is in reference to, they ignore or talk over me in a rude and aggressive way. I've read similar complaints about this company and feel that they should be put out of commission or penalized with whatever laws, policies to prevent this type of practice. I'm 63 yrs old, and I believe that they are targeting seniors and people who are incapable to defend themselves.

I went to one of those for-profit online colleges which I should have never done. They promise you the world, but they're essentially liars. Well, due to that whole experience, my loans are in default. Allied Interstate harass me nonstop. They have phoned my boyfriend whom I didn't even know when I go the loan. They've told me to borrow from him or friends to pay it back, they've questioned how much money he makes because I have no income. I help him out with his business but he doesn't pay me, how my cell phone bill gets paid, etc.. None of these things are their business.
Due to their reputation, I told them that I would not be paying anything to them because I did not feel comfortable giving them banking information especially since the banking information is not mine. I was lied to and told they would garnish my boyfriend's income tax return and his business tax return. Neither of which are in my name. Even though I told them numerous times that I have no income and that they will see this when I file my taxes, they are now sending paperwork to garnish wages I don't have. Every time I tried to talk to these people, they would talk over top of me and not let me finish what I was saying.
I reached out to the Ombudsman's office because they have been causing such stress in my home life, I can't really take it anymore. He told me to have them communicate with me through email only. Which they will not do. I told the ombudsman's office that I will make payment arrangements but not through Allied Interstate. My boyfriend will help me pay, but not through this company because he has also looked them up and is not confident that they will honor the arrangement. I am so stressed, I honestly don't know what to do. I can't breathe, my head hurts, I'm so upset and nervous all because these people have decided to bother everyone I know.

I had no idea that Navient sold my loan to Allied Interstate. I never got a letter. I called Sallie Mae - told me to call Navient. Called Navient - told me to call dept of ed which they told me they had no idea. 3 months later I called dept of Ed and demanded where my loan went and finally told me they put my loan to Allied a collection agency. I called them and I asked for a bill and the monthly amount I could pay to get it out of default. They said ok. A week later they send me a bill with no monthly bill - just the whole amount.
I call back and ask them the same thing, this time I said if I can send a payment of $50 money order a month, but they tried to pressure me to give them my bank account, which I refused. Then they started to ask if I was on unemployment. Since the first time I called them, they harassed me day to 7 pm nonstop calls from different numbers. They're pissing me off with the nonstop calling and different numbers each time! Trying to do the program is a pain in the **. I ask them to send me the form by mail, they insisted on email and fax it back, which I said fine, they never sent one. I call one month later and again the program, I ask for the form to be sent by mail, same damn thing.

I fell behind on my care credit account. They asked me if I could send 15 dollars and I did it in a money order. Well they called me this morning and I told them that I was not to set up a checking account just to set up payment arrangements. And I was not going to issue my savings account number. I've always made payments with money orders. It was not a problem in the past as I fell through hard times. I will not be conned into getting an account nor giving them my savings number. I need to pay off 461 dollars and they have yet to set something up so I'll send them what I can. They even gave my husband the runaround. If they was a good collection agency they should be able to schedule payments. I pay my bills and I will continue to do so. I need to know how to handle them. They seem to be very pushy and I don't appreciate it at all. Thank you.

I've heard multiple stories about these guys. Every time I look up a number that Allied Interstate uses to call, there's a plethora of people complaining that they've been scammed. It appears these people are based in India and receive your number in multiple ways. A common theme I found is that if you've ever ordered anything from any of those online pharmacies based in India (like "US Pharmacy"), they handover (or sell) your phone number to these Indian scammers. Whenever I pick up the call (accidentally, of course), they are unable to explain anything to me. All they can do is rudely tell me I have debt somewhere, somehow, which is completely inaccurate. If I press them further to tell me more about this debt they become belligerent. One guy on the phone even yelled and swore at me before slamming the phone shut. What a pathetic excuse of a company.

This 3rd party collection agency was hired to collect a debt for Fingerhut. They contacted my mother in law numerous times and left messages. After contacting them directly to set up payments and inquire why they would call my mother in law, I was advised that they will call anyone that I am associated with. I was also threatened, screamed at and hung up on. I called back asking for a supervisor who again screamed at me and advised me that she had blocked my number and to NEVER call again and to deal with the client directly. I have made payments on this account and I am still receiving the calls from them stating they have never received my payments.
My last call from them was today which the representative advised me again that the payments were not received and that it wasn't her problem. This call also ended in a threat. My hands are tied. I have made payments and still owe a balance and no one is willing to help. I need to state that I never once stated I would not pay. The calls continue to my mother in law and me. The $300.00 I have paid is lost in space.
