PerfectMatch.com

Dariimaa of Woodland Hills CA (10/31/08)
I signed up for above named dating site membership on October 27, 2008 paying membership fee of 99.99 to find my perfect match. In couple days I realized that I couldn't locate my profile while searching on perfectmatch.com. I wrote to perfectmatch.com team: how will my potential perfect match will find me and contact me if he cannot see me on the site.

Therefore, on October 29, 2008 I complained to perfectmatch.com team, requested to cancel my membership and requested a full refund which I think I was entitled. Because they did not deliver promised service. Kathy Roth of perfectmatch.com team canceled my membership; however, refused to refund my money back. She also wrote that since I paid until February 24, 2009 I should enjoy remainder of my subscription.

Now it is been 4 days since I signed up. I did not receive any mails, any ice-breakers, any new perfect matched, nothing. Seams like since they canceled my membership, my profile is inactive. Therefore, nobody can contact me. Pretty much I paid 99.99 for nothing.

Above all the perfectmatch.com's search engine doesn't work properly. I enter my zip code to locate single males around my area; yet, most of the guys are from the miles away/ Any company should have refund policy if consumer is not satisfied with their service.

First of all I did not receive any service. I got emotionally disturbed. I was looking for my perfect match. Instead I got ripped off and humiliated.

I want my membership fee back. And apology from perfectmatch.com for waisting my time.

Apparently the company's database is full of inactive members and as a result I received 2 matches the day I joined, and no more matches during my 3 month membership. I contacted the company because all of a sudden a few days AFTER my membership expired they sent several INACTIVE matches. Apparently their guarantee states they will deliver a certain number of matches so they deliver matches of individuals that are no longer members in order to avoid providing refunds.

Filed a complaint with the BBB and PerfectMatch even went back and forth refuting their own prior responses. It was annoying for me and I was out 60, but it must have been pretty humiliating for the company to be so badly in need of and members that they would continue to deliver inactive/closed matches in order to not fulfill on their guarantee. What the happened to this company? How did they fall from grace so quickly?

60 membership fee.

I signed up for this online dating service on May 29, 2008 and within 48 hours I learned that 95 percent of the matches they were sending me were 60, 70, 80 and even 250 miles from my home. They were deceptive in their advertising and terms of service in relationship to the matches that would be near my area. I requested a FULL REFUND within 3 days; under the buyer's remorse trade guidelines of my state. They offered poor, unusually service, and have no provisions for customer service. They DENIED MY REFUND CLAIM.

As with others, until you actual pay the 99 you don't have a chance to even try and see if there are matches. After I paid, I received in 1 months time exactly 1 match - that wasn't a match! I requested a pro-rated refund. They refused. I contacted the BBB in their home state - they still refused to refund a penny. I am now filing a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office in both my home state and their headquarters state.

They prey on emotionally vulnerable people - take their money, and then discard the consumer. Run the other way from this company.

PerfectMatch.com implies and guarantees a successful experience for members seeking social introductions via the internet. They do not offer, however, an opportunity to evaluate their actual service until a potential customer becomes a member and pays her fee. I signed up for their service and paid the requested fee. Within a couple of hours of becoming a member, I realized that the site did not meet expectations because of the very small sample of potential introductions. Within 12 hours of signing on to the service, I notified PerfectMatch.com of my dissatisfaction with the service and requested a refund of the 99 membership fee. While they said they would happily cancel my membership, they refused to refund.
