They completely ignore helping new accounts, and within weeks I had to change my password due to hacking which was never explained by them. I put up a music track that couldn't play and all I got was a stupid answer "we are looking into this as we have other issues reported and will set our team to fix the problem." The problem was never fixed. People who wanted to hear the track drifted off never to return. I let this go and came back with a playlist, only to find that somebody else's playlist was in my songs In addition, one song of mine was there twice. I deleted it and it appeared there again the next day. It was deleted again only to see it back the following day. I asked for help to get my playlist up and delete the one that was trespassing. No such luck. I now have songs littered over my profile with no one hardly visiting because it is in the wrong place and of little use to me. Yet they boast of helping the music scene? A load of **. The company, too.

It's about my profile. I will take MySpace.com to court if they continue to let people make a false profile page of me without my consent. I want my page erased ASAP.

For the past 3 days, I have not been able to access my Mobsters application. I have spent a lot of money setting up my Mobsters account and now I cannot access it. You guys have been dropping the ball lately as far as customer service. I refuse to go to Facebook but it seems like you are pushing customers away. I really want to stay on Myspace but lately, I have not been satisfied with your service.

I have asked 3 times and have gone through the procedure of Myspace to delete my account. They failed to do so on all the 3 occasions. Who is responsible? What financial penalties do the company face because of their inability to delete accounts? What privacy laws are they infringing by not complying with these requests to cancel?

MySpace is owned by News Corporation. That's where you should direct complaints and where I'm filing mine. A profile is actually easy enough to delete yourself if you can log in. MySpace is now requiring browser upgrades for all their pages. Having worked in the industry for over thirty years, I would rather feed my arm to a pond full of piranha than get a browser upgrade. Upgrades all too often result in system failures. Your computer was designed to handle the software that came installed on it and not much more. And if you built it yourself, then experience shows you really don't want to risk too new of operating system software.

Second, you are opening yourself to security issues. As a teacher of developers, I've always encouraged my students to keep it simple. The more complications they add the more loopholes for intruders. Upgrades are buggy enough. Add complications and hackers have yet another way to mess with your world. MySpace is really requiring users to go buy new computers to accommodate their upgrades that are completely unnecessary to the function of a website. There is no good cause to exceed HTML 2.0 standards especially with flash animation add-ons that have been around for a decade. I smell corporate kickback subsidies.

I want to ** delete my myspace, too.

I was 17 when I made it. It's rubbish and I don't want people viewing my history when I'm trying to run a legit business. I called their "C.S." and they no longer take calls. I called their legal department and they don't even ** answer. Now I'm getting madder than hell about this. I've sent my salute 100 times. It's clearly a very well done salute and I even told them I'd go put the ** shirt I had on back on you stupid pricks. Sorry, but it's really irking me.

I would like to suggest this to everyone who reads these messages: Contact me, I'll start a pool of people who can donate w.e. they can to hire a lawyer. I'll make this legit. I'm 25, a small business owner and extremely furious. Let's start making them do something about this.

I tried to get a hold of MySpace to delete two profiles. My first profile, an old friend of mine created about eight years ago and he used a fake email address. I lost the password and eventually forgot the email address. I haven't logged into that one in six years. I tried contacting them three years ago (when they actually wrote you back) they told me to send a picture and write on a piece of paper the full name of the address to get to my profile. I sent about ten different pictures in, clearly showing my face and the website. Every time I sent one, they sent an email back saying they couldn't see it clearly. After the 10th one, I wrote them back with a whole bunch of expletives and they haven't contacted me again. I tried again (for both profiles) once a week for five weeks, up until last week, with no response whatsoever.

My second profile, I created with a real email address. Well I had AOL and the person who was paying for it stopped paying and my account was deleted after not returning. Now, as a result, I have two profiles I can't access. The first account, I mentioned was created when I was sixteen, so there's a lot of incriminating stupid stuff all over that page, and when you search for my name in MySpace, that page is the first one to come up. I've been applying for jobs for going on four years now. I must have applied for more than 300 jobs and I sat down for two interviews! My only conclusion is this stupid page!

Someone really needs to teach them about customer service, because they completely suck at it. They should also start deleting pages when someone fail to go into them after at least a year or two. I will never go to this website again, unless it's to see if, by some miracle, my profile has been deleted. I will discourage anyone who asks if MySpace is cool. It was cool at first, now it just completely and utterly sucks.

Thank God for Facebook. At least they actually write back when you contact them

I am very upset with MySpace. I go on MySpace to stay in touch with people who don't use Facebook, and check my messages; and I recently got that mesh with Facebook and I opted out because I did not know what it might do. It completely deleted all my friends, messages and valuable pictures that I can not get back -- vacations, my wedding (not the professional one, but the more intimate ones with friends and family), honeymoon, holidays, get-togethers; and no one can get them back. I have tried to get in touch with someone to help me but it's impossible to get a live person or even someone to answer an e-mail. I want those memories back; and I trusted they were safe since my computer had been stolen. Now that I have a new one, I thought I could get them back and MySpace lost them. Please help.

myspace.com has purposely made it impossible to get in touch with them. meanwhile, they are illegally offering my music for sale, without my permission, on a website they created featuring me and my music. all of their email responses are form letters. none of their phone numbers reach a live person. I have contacted my attorney, but you cannot reach the company or talk to anyone. I am outraged about this, and I want them investigated and taken down if necessary.

I log into my MySpace every day to check my messages. That's it. MySpace changed their look and now ever since they made this change, which, I do not recall anyone saying this was okay with them to make this change to our "MySpace" pages, I cannot log on to my MySpace because every time I do, my computer freezes.

All the other sites I go to are fine. As soon as I go and log into MySpace now, my pages stop loading. I get an error message saying, "A script has stopped running. Would you like to continue?" And if I don't click on one of these choices, Firefox closes on me by itself because my MySpace stops, dead in its tracks. Have I contacted anyone at MySpace? How can I if I can't even use my MySpace, so no I haven't, haven't been able to.

MySpace has been spamming my email about the new "mash-up" with Facebook. I tried to opt out of the spam, which required my logging into the new account they created for me and populated with my profile info from my Facebook page. So I logged in to delete this account, and after hitting exactly 5 consecutive "cancel" buttons, they sent a confirming email I had to respond to, and click one more cancel button!

My account will supposedly be canceled within 48 hours. If it's not, plan B is to post tons of objectionable material until they delete it themselves.

They took our money knowing they were closing their doors down, because of the lawsuit. Burlingame, CA-based Crowdstar has filed a federal lawsuit accusing WonderHill of unfair competition and copyright violations for copying Happy Aquarium on Facebook. Among the signature features that WonderHill allegedly copied was a distinctive mating dance to a backdrop of hearts and romantic music.

Every time I complain about being targeted by trolls on this site, I end up being banned. I complained about a picture that was posted in the political forums of a black man crying and the captions "no more handouts". The customer service department said it was appropriate. It was posted on a thread with the title "black community no more hand out". I did nothing on this site to be banned for. This is the second time I have been banned for complaining about the racist atmosphere on this site.

Someone posed as me on this site! It contains some of the most vulgar, sexual, defamatory verbiage I have ever seen! There are photos of me as well. This has caused me truly to want to end my life! I do know the person that did this despicable act. This information has been on this site for two plus years without my knowledge until now. Please help me!

This individual on Myspace continuously messaged me inappropriate messages. I reported the individual to Myspace (even blocked the person), but I still continued to receive comments such as "Oh your lips make for good oral sex", only more provocatively. I received nothing from Myspace in response to my complaints about the individual.

I have just realized my account has been hacked on myspace. The first time, I emailed 4 times. On all occasions, I got an automated response. I am a photographer & own copyright to all material on my page. I can prove I have ownership with website, bank details, etc. They sent me an automated response asking me to take a photograph of myself ( which proves nothing ) and hold a piece of paper up , with my Myspace URL written on it ( this proves nothing, any woman could do that ) and they don;t even know what I look like, attach the photo and send it back to them. But I must have a picture on my personal profile, which I don't. This is all totally ridiculous, and I am getting somewhat annoyed now, because my works are copyrighted. And I don't know if they might be illegally used.

After three years, my MySpace account was deleted. MySpace says there is nothing they can do and can't tell us why. Over 7000 friends, 80 plus blogs lost, numerous hours of work, pictures, contacts etc.

I'm trying to close my account, but I received no help from MySpace. They respond with answers that don't work. I believe that my MySpace was compromised and a scam email sent to my address book. I've been working on this for 3 days.

I can log onto my account, but I am unable to send emails or type emails

After being a member for several years and using one of that automatic log-ins every time to get into MySpace, someone either hacked my account or MySpace has a bug of some kind. Whenever I tried to login, the space for login would become blank again, even after changing my password several times. Changing passwords did not help. I told MySpace customer service several times about this by email but they never said they would look into it. So, annoyed, I asked that they please delete my account as having one is not doing me any good since I cannot get into my page to make any changes. I managed to find my page by looking for my screen name and when I did it said I was "online now". But I could not make any changes because I could not log into the site.

Recently, my sister said she was having this same problem with her MySpace page. I have not heard from her in a week or so. So I don't know what she was planning to do about it. Anyway, they would not cancel my account. They said to cancel without being able to log in and do it myself. I would have to send them a photo of myself holding my log-in info. I am not going to send them a photo of myself. I said that they should be able to ascertain that I am who I say I am without my going to all this hassle. In the meantime, my MySpace account is just sitting there, taking up room on their site, as I explained to them. What I'd really appreciate is for them to look into the matter and fix it, then let the people who were having problems know it is fixed. They did not even say they were looking into the problem.

Ron ** posted up a fake MySpace account in my name (first name right, last name incorrect). He said vulgar words, slanderous sentences and he posted up fake information and information that is private. I have found out about this 3/28/10. It caused mass amounts of embarrassment and other problems I have been having with people lately. I am wondering if I should notify the authorities.

Within seconds, the video was taken down. I sent an email to MySpace asking why. This was the reply:

Audio or video content was blocked/removed from your profile because our third-party vendor, Audible Magic, has returned information indicating that this particular work was identified as owned by MTV. We are not making any judgments one way or another on the accuracy of that information. We simply assume that it is valid, unless a user contests and says otherwise.

"The procedure for contesting is the counter-notice procedure. It exists specifically for situations in which the user feels their content was blocked or taken down by mistake or error. If you believe that an error or mistake has occurred here, your only recourse, if you wish to have the content re-uploaded to MySpace, is to fill out the counter-notice form in its entirety. Once MySpace receives your counter-notice in reference to content that has either been blocked or removed from your profile, we will forward it to the alleged copyright owner of the content for their review.

"The content at issue will be reinstated to your profile in 10-14 business days, unless the copyright owner affirmatively denies the counter-notice. I filled out the counter claim and it is about 20 working days since the incident and the video is still blocked. I am adamant in my opposition to copyright infringements and am deeply insulted by the accusation. I would like to have these bogus accusations retracted. A subsequent apology from MySpace would be appropriate. I would also like to know if my name can ever be cleared and to be assured that MTV renounces any claim of ownership to my video.

I replied to this email stating that I would never stoop to that kind of humiliation by taking their copyright education program which would be an admission of guilt on my part because I knew beyond any doubt, that a hundred lawyers, with a hundred million American Dollars couldn't prove in a hundred years that anyone but me owned the rights to that video and that I would be consulting with a copyright lawyer. The lawyer turned out to be too expensive so I decided to wait and see what happens. I wrote another email yesterday inquiring as to why my video hadn't been reinstated since the 14 days were past. The reply was a carbon copy of the first.

I have been trying to find out how to complain to MySpace, but I can't seem to find a route into the Complaints Department of the site. I've been going round and round in circles and I ended up here? I went into one of my favorite band's sites expecting to hear their music, but I just keep getting absolute garbage played at me. I can't seem to find a way to stop it, switch it off or even turn it down. I can hear the music I'm trying to listen to in the background and I don't know whether this is happening to everyone trying to access the site or just me. The music should not be loud, brash and irritating commercial ** (it's matter of personal opinion of course).

MySpace is allowing members to promote gangs, weapons, murder, drug use and sales. I spent about 15 minutes looking for gang members on this site and was able to come up with more than 25 that make no attempt to hide what they are doing. Most gang members (MS-13, South Side Locos SUR X13, Bloods, Crips, whoever else) will complain and say something about the first amendment. How can it apply to this? First, everything in the US is censored:TV, radio, etc. These types of places, "MySpace" should be too.

Second, MySpace is responsible for what is on their website. They are the owners of the domain, site and bandwidth, plus they are making money from this site. It would be different if these gang-bangers went out and purchased everything and created their own site. Then the first amendment would apply. So basically, MySpace is involved in racketeering, organized crime, aiding and abiding, narcotics trafficking or at least accessory to. This type of ** is allowing little thugs, murders, drug dealers to promote, recruit and destroy our young people. This is something that needs to be addressed ASAP.

I want to delete my MySpace account, so I filled out the form. At the end of the form it says I have to wait for an email to be sent to me for confirmation to delete the account. That was two months ago and I do not have an email confirmation and my myspace account is still active. I submitted another form last month to delete my account, but still no confirmation.

I have tried more than 4 times to delete my account with Myspace, and I have contacted their help and support e-mail 2-3 times. This company will not delete my account.

I've been targeted by a few 13 year old girls and it's been non-stop for 9 months or so. They targeted me from a game app that I play on MySpace called "Friend Factory" made by Zynga. I was accused of being this other player who they have also targeted. I tried to reason with them, but they just kept getting worse. Over the last 9 months, they have accused me of being a pedo, taken my picture and posted it all over the Friend Factory forum, made fake profiles, accuse other players of being me, and continued to send out personal insults.

I have reported this many times to MySpace and they told me it was Zynga's problem since it was their forum. I reported it to Zynga many times too and they will tell me to report it to MySpace. Meanwhile the forum on MySpace continues to go unmonitored being flooded with pictures of mine and personal insults with false accusations. I cannot get MySpace to respond to me on the fake profile either. This has been ongoing way too long. And from what I hear from some other players, they have been dealing with this longer than I have.

MySpace is allowing **** to be visible to minors via Bumper Stickers app. There is one with comments from children. I reported it 10 times and they still hav it up. Not only that, but they have one set of rules for female images, and another for male images. As a test, I put up a male image that was no more graphic than the female ones. It was removed within hours.

I have a couple of accounts on Myspace and lately have come under attack. I will give you a little history first. The accounts are music pages and are doing very, very good, all positive feed backs. At one point we had about a thousand hits (people looking at the page) All of a sudden I started losing how many profile views on my site, like over 700.

I wrote myspace and at the same time I could not send requests to people too check out my site and sign on. Again I sent emails to myspace. They sent out the same generic response. This has been going on four weeks now. Also I got a strange email which I sent to myspace and ask if they sent it and all of a sudden they did not respond to that question, I wrote them again about how I can't send requests and once again ask about the strange email.

They responded about the other matter which I consider some remark and not about the strange email. I keep the emails that was sent and the ones they sent. There is something going on over there and seeing these complaints. An investigation needs to be done. I am willing to let you have access to my account in order to catch whatever is going on over there. I can't build fan base which in the end means I can't make money. This is stressful and frustrating. There are a lot more things going on with them and we the people need action.

I am a published songwriter who have used MySpace for years to connect with colleagues around the world. I am the sole owner of all rights to my music and wrote all the music and lyrics for every song on my site. I have never violated any terms of the site and am an upstanding citizen, yet without warning or explanation, my page was deleted. It has been over a week, and I have sent countless e-mails to MySpace requesting an explanation, but no one has responded. Interestingly, the terms do say that they can delete anyone at any time for any reason or NO REASON, so whereas they certainly have a legal right to arbitrarily delete a person's page, it certainly is a very poor business model to use! I would strongly advise against any serious musician using MySpace, as you are always vulnerable to the staff removing your page at will. I've lost all my contacts through MySpace, and the worst part for me is that the staff refuses to respond to my inquiries regarding their decision. What a terrible disservice MS does to the public when they delete people's pages for no reason at all!

My 10 year old son used a computer outside of our home to create a "MySpace" account. He has older, very riksy looking "friends" on his profile. I have PROOF that i have contacted "MySpace" numerous times only to be told that his profile "appears" to be that of an adult. I do not know how to delete it and my son says the passcode is "tricky" and he does not remember what it is. "MySpace" will NOT delete it and is allowing it to stay open and if my son is able to get computer access (we strictly monitor internet usage at home) away from home, he can access this account and be open for predators.

By "MySpace" allowing it stay open because of appearence, we are telling children that it is OK to lie. If you want something, just lie about it. I can provide all the documentation that I have on this. Also, he is my step-son, that my husband and I have FULL custody. The judge ordered the only contact he can have with his mother is through snail mail and her responses are to be monitored. I can provide custody order also. He has contacted her on "MySpace" in an effort to tell her to "grow up". Is there anything I can do to stop this??? Please advise.

Someone created an imposter profile and I followed myspace's directions was assured contact in 48 hrs and nothing has been done. the profile contains untrue information in combination with personal information like my phone number a photo of me and more.

I haven't been able to post a bulletin in about four days now. I can see everyone else's and I can type things on there. I can even press Post Bulletin and it says Bulletin Has Been Posted. Yet when I go to the Bulletin Board, it never appears. I've never had this happen before, but it's pretty inconvenient.

My account is deleted. I have been given no explanation or warning. My account just no longer exists and I'm out all the money and work I put into an application I can only access through that myspace URL. I'm absolutly livid!! Long hours and effort and money just gone! All this long time with an account at myspace I have had to try to function through all the annoying myspace adds in my face. I endured advertising they bombard any user with. Only to be unable to even know why my account has been deleted!

I am a musician on myspace. I tried to upload a new song to my page, but I got a myspace error box accusing me of copyright infringement and the site won't let me upload the song. I wrote, performed, and recorded this song. I think I own the copyright... Myspace sucks.

My 12 yr old daughter signed up 2 my space accounts behind my back. Once I found out about it the main one that she signed up using a friends email with the help of that friend we got it deleted. Now there is one account that she doen't remember what the sign in is so I contacted myspace. I asked them to delete the account for one she is under age and she listed her self as 17 and her whole name is listed along with the town and state we live in. I recieved an automatic reply saying they would get back with me. I've never heard another word from them and I've emailed them 2 other times since. Needless to say the account is still there. If you know something else I can do let me know.

I have tried continuously to delete my account with Myspace yet, they never cancel it. I have written to their support team many times and do not get a response but, just an e-mail on how to physically delete the account which I had already done.

I have reported somebody who has managed to gain access to my profile on myspace. This person has been stalking me over the internet for about 6 weeks now. I cannot access my Myspace account which the password and email address was changed to prevent this. The profile is set to private, and from what I can see, it has turned to a smutty profile, with content that could be damaging and offensive, especially to friends and family.

I have asked now for this profile to be removed, even giving myspace a "salute" which is a photo of myself with a handwritten sign with my profile details, which myspace claimed this will cause the profile to be removed, this has not yet happened, the profile is still active, and I am getting more concerned over what information on the profile that I cannot view. I have emailed myspace over 5 times and just keep getting "canned" response. I found a myspace phone number on google and called it, I talked to this guy named Kevin who told me they were doing maintenance and my page was still active, which is great-but it really would be nice if I could view and edit it! I have not received any resolution to this issue. I understand that myspace is free, but I feel like they should resolve issues when someone tells them they can't view their own page! I am very frustrated and do know know what to do.

I'm an 18 year old girl who has a myspace account. I recently blocked a 41 year old women and was blocked by her daughter. The are still viewing my profile, even though they are not friends with me. They have even called the police on my for harrassment, though they couldn't prove that I had done anything wrong. I don't want my profile deleted, because it's the only way I am able to keep in contact with some of my friends and family members. I feel as though I am being stalked and Violated by these people, and I don't know how to end it.

You have never once called me. My cell phone is on 24/7.

Myspace's chat rooms have been down 30 plus days. We have e-mailed them daily to get a update to when this site will be up. We have not gotten any reply. All we see is "Shortly" and "Wait It Out" Is this any way to treat there customers?

I have tried to cancel myspace and for months they will not cancel it

I changnd my pass word because of all the hacking going on in one of the apps. i use yo ville i have many hours and some cash invested in my my space and many friends that this is the only way i am able to communicate with them. well i forgot my pass word so i did the for got pass word thing on the log in page. that was 8 days ago 2-3 times a day they send me a email telling me of a new problem and how i am to fix it. i do every thing they tell me to do but they never send me my pass word.

there is no way to talk to some one to help you and all they do is send you automatic messages. i am so stressed and mad i could just blow up. all of my time and money i have invested in my my space is gone every one else can go to my my space but i cant. all i needed was my pass word. they can spam me with all their junk. try this so you think we are looking in to this but they have yet to fix the problem. this is why i pay for the internet to have my space. if they cant keep their consumers safe from hackers and help them when there is a problem then to me it should be no diff, i didnt join my space to be locked out of MY SPACE!

So I hammered em with vids. It took the uploading of 6 vids before they canceled my account. And actually, it wasn't till the 6th vid that I include the comment, my lawyers gonna have a field day in finding out you refused to cancel my account even after violating your terms. It was with that 6th vid, they canceled. They canceled it immediately. So they ARE there reading your comments and cancellations. They just refuse to. The steps I went through to cancel my myspace account when WELL beyond reason.

Cyberbullying, threat to harm, and slanderous remarks using my full name. I have contacted the police and my space and the site is till up and they have done nothing!

This is my way of keeping in touch with friends and now I cannot

I just reported a situation that they needed to look into that may be a very inappropiate situation. I had even sent the many links, expecting they had the resources to check this person out. They claim ignorance.

I have sent the site *Administrator, several Contact emails in attempt to edit/change not only my photo, but my entire profile -- with absolutely no success. Not only that - but a few areas of my profile (horribly out-dated as it is) have changed also. Some graphics previously downloaded, including some music channels and freestyles I added long ago - are gone now. Who had permission to do this???! I used to think MySpace was the coolest social site. It has quickly become a networking joke. So many other people have reported very similar issues with it too.

I have tried many times to delete my myspace account. It sends me an email, I follow the link, and it just keeps going back to my homepage. Users are unable to delete their accounts and their personal information remains public FOREVER without their consent.

I have recently changed my password on myspace and i accidently forgot what it was....there were to names that i had on my mind and neither of them worked so i simply clicked the forgot password button and then i had to type in my emeil address so it could send it to me. Well it never came. I sent it about 7 times and i still havent recieved it. i havent been on for 3 mounths now and i'm losing contact with my friends. im angry. i do not want to make another account and have to relocate my friends.

My reputation of not allowing to keep in touch with my friends is slowy growing. i always talk to loved ones that i cannot contact any where but here and now look.

Tried to get my password sent to me and no response

I cant delete my myspace account because my email was deleted and now im afraid im going to have the myspace on forever, i checked to see if there was an address or phone number but nothing to contact myspace. i cant even receve anything from myspace because it all goes into my delted email, i dont know what to do.

My 14yr old son was sent a web friend invite by a 16yr old female he innocently accepted, but was shocked to find **** pics on her profile. This is appalling to see this on what is suppose to be a "safe" area for so many teens who do communicate with each other every day. Please do something about this.

Because I have a grandaughter who is going to someday want to get on board with Myspace, I went in to see what it is all about and was shocked that young kids are seeing some very obscene, negative, disrespectful images and words. What is happening to kids that they think anything goes. Someone needs to take responsibility and shut this site down. I am not a prude, but it is grown up so-called adults that are feeding this sexual frenzy to young kids! Someone should take some responsibility. I belive this site may have started out innocent enough, but it is soft **** now. I would imagine a lot of parents aren't aware. Please do something.

hi, both my kids are on myspace. well my son has this girl that is bending over showing her you know what. a picture should not be allowed like that,and then you click on her name it brings you to another page that you can click on again to see **** pictures, if this is what my kids can see through myspace they will delete it!! myspace will be a bad name in my book. thanks

She drew a picture of everyone in my fourth hour class, and I like to keep to myself and people I know, and this would have been cool with me except I dontg know her, she put it on myspace where [anyone] can see it. Its an invasion of my privacy and everyone else. I also have reason to beleive that someone has also taken a picture of me. And I have no way of knowing what else is going on because I dont have their myspace and I dont want to get police, or fights dragged into this. I think this might be a case of cyber bullying.

Iam very social but lately, I have become distant from my freinds. I have been told by someone who I want to protect, that this is happening and then they all just laugh about it, so lately, Ive been paranoid about who is around me, and that has driven me further from other freinds.

i have been blocked from e-mailing my friends in indonesia thru the myspace website. i have been falsley accused of playing games with people on myspace which is not true. i seek serious relationships and friends, as i listed in my account. tom did not contact me, or get my side of what happened. i am a sincere and hones person that plans a vacation to indonesia, and wanted to make friends, aquaintances before i travel.

i am traumatized mentally by this. my reputation has been tarnished beyond repair unless an apology from tom to my friends in indonesia and my name being cleared of any wrongdoing.

I was using this site and when I sent a post comment regarding its content and software engineers in a negative manner, my site was changed and reverted to a new member site. After many hours of creating my site it is now gone due to an unknown hand reaching in out of spite to mess with its users.

I have but blood, sweat and tears into my site of 3 years and now I am forced to redevelope its content based on its terms.

I have tried 10 times to delete my myspace account. It sends me an email, I follow the link, and it just keeps going back to my homepage. How can I delete it?

I have been trying to close my account for one month. I have changed my e-mail account and they will not update my new e-mail because they send the confirmation code to the old e-mail. There fore I cannot access it and close the account. I have had someone hack onto my account and post inappropriate language to others. I have e-mailed myspace directly atleast five times and receive no response. I have not been able to find a phone number to contact them in person.

I have found out that a picture of me was posted on a website (myspace.com)I did not and would not have created this page or my picture on it. I have proof that it is me and where the picture came from. I the page was created by someone who had access to my CD of a cruise I took in 2006, I have the date of the page being setup on 10/12/2007, I have contacted the website to state that someone has stolen my idenity and posted some very disturbing comments. I did not find out about this page until my son who is 27 and his family that moved recently decided to start a page for commmunicating and discovered that I had a page with my picture on it. They knew it was me by looking at the picture, I know it is me, but I did not and would not post something like that, who would?

All I want is to be able to find out who posted it and to be able to get some information from myspace.com , they refuse to, I have contacted the police department and they have a case number , but the state that I will probably not get any information. How do I fight this, someone stole my idenity and posted it on a website without my permission, why can't I find out who and press charges? Is there a law that I can use as an example to get this problem resolved. I just really need some help in getting this matter taken care of. I have my ideas of who, I am losing a marriage over this, a job possibly, since the owner of company is in the picture as well. Help!

I pretty much have the same complaint as most. I have an account I want to delete, but they won't. I also am trying to block someone from posting to my profile. You cannot block it in the traditional way because it's Tom, the owner. I don't want his [information] in my profile. And, like everyone else, I keep getting computer generated mail without any real help. I have another account I want to cancel because, by typo, the wrong email account is my login. They won't correct it because I cannot get email to a non-existant email.

Mostly just frustration. I don't want to use My Space any more, but I have a blog there I don't want to lose. I'm just so angry because they cannot deal with me like a human being.

I sighned up for myspace, when I put my birthdate in, correctly, they claimed I was a liar, even though all they had to do was the math. They started hurling henious, false accusations, my way. I have made neumerous attempts to straighten it out, they will not respond. They also breeched the name of my job, which is a confidential, government name. I've been trying to delete my My Space account, and now not only I can't delete my account, but I can't log in anymore and still showing to whoever wants to see.

My Myspace insant message took off the chat rooms and, I can not manage my icons on Myspace IM either. I would appreciate if this problem could be fixed. On the manage icons for Myspace IM- I canot remove or modify any of the Zaps or Icons to chat on IM. It makes it very difficult to read

Needless to say, I canceled my account, and will never again trust a site like that. I was crazy to believe that anything huge and robotic like that could possibly work. Thank God, there was nothing on my page and my settings were strictly private.

I don't know yet. I was slandered, at first by some kind of error, but after half a dozen robotic accusatory form letters I don't call it an error any more. I call it slander, and a system that causes slander is still slander.

I cannot use the site. Therefore, it failed to deliver what I was promised. It also damaged me from ever trusting anything like that again. A horrible and disgusting experience to be treated like I don't exist by a stupid machine run riot.

I've contacted aol and yahoo to file a complaint. I've called my local law enforcement and the FBI to file complaints but are only able to take a report. The person continues to harass us and even today I received an email from him from her myspace page. The hacker has been able to talk through her IM on her yahoo and her myspace. The threats continue and as many complaints as we've both filed with myspace they still have done nothing. I had over 50 saved emails from this hacker that mysteriously disappeared from my aol. My fiance still has many of the emails that have come to us. We need help.

Since this person knows where we both live and we believe he's in the same town we continually look over our shoulders. This has made my fiance scared to leave the house and it's made her physically ill with the worry. I am always scanning my surroundings and I'm high strung as a result. Even if we cancel our accounts the harassment will not stop. This guy has access to everything now. We don't know what to do and we're losing a lot of sleep over worrying about our safety.

Hello, My Daughters image who is 9yrs old is being used by her mother to promote her music career. When I recently looked at her mothers myspace page not only was she using my daughters image as the main photo at the top of her page there was an inappropriate ad under that image which I would like to send you as I have a picture of that ad. I have repeatedly asked her mother to take down this image which she refuses to do, even though since her image has been used in this way my 9 yr old daughter has had an increases in lewd spam mail. I am not sure what MySpace's policy is about this sort of thing but I want this picture/image of my daughter taken down immediately. If something should happen to my Daughter as a consequence of this I will hold MySpace.com partly responsible.I am a concerned Father not some crazy person and I would like to send you the picture of that ad that appeared under her image about older men looking for young girls which I was totally appalled as I am sure you will be.

Somebody posted a malicious MySpace profile without permission and to slander and damage my person. I have demanded that this account be cancelled and removed immediately but nothing has been done by MySpace. I don't know what to do at this point.

MySpace states in its privacy policy that it collects certain information such as a mailing address, telephone number or credit card information during registration to personally identify members and this is not true. This is how the hackers, posers and other unsavory types of people are able to harass other members using bogus accounts.

Also, Tom Anderson lied about his age. He is really 38, not 33. MySpace has defrauded its members and its advertisers. There are not actually 250,000,000+ active accounts on MySpace. The computer generated accounts, poser accounts and dead accounts (not logged into for years) are all included in the total, which their advertising rates are based upon. MySpace is one of the biggest frauds that ever existed.

I heard that a girl that was about 14 years old commited suicide because some idiot told her she was ugly. I had the exact same thing happen to me, and honestly it really hurts. It makes you feel like you're not confident at all. This message goes out to all the jerks who would do something like that:

Because of there being a lot of hackers on Myspace, I am in the habit of changing my password every couple months. The last time I changed it, I didn't log in for two weeks. When I tried to log in later I couldn't remember my new password. I have emailed them a salute like they asked (photo of me holding a sign showing my log in, friend id, etc), and I still haven't heard anything. I haven't been able to log in to my account for over two months now.

Also, there is a section on Myspace where you try to log in on the front page. If you forgot your password, you click a button and your password is sent to the email address you signed up with. Well I can click that button three hundred times and I NEVER get anything sent to my email. Yes, I have even checked my junk folders. Myspace has terrible customer service. I wouldn't recommend that site to anyone.

Since I haven't been able to log in to my account, friends are still messaging me on there without knowing that I am unable to access my messages. Like finding out too late that my cousin had surgery, when I could have read about it early if I had been able to access my account.

The forum on myspace is complete chaos. I've been posting regularly for six months. The moderators are inconsistent in punishment is probably my biggest complaint.

consequences? it irritates me that I get banned for something and someone posts something similar to what I post and doesn't get banned for reasons like: being friends with a moderator, a moderator not moderating the forum for days and suddenly shows up to ban users, the moderator's personal attitude at the moment, etc

I spent years building up a network for business. This was the same week my book hit the stores. I couldn't believe this was happening. I got a call from Christina. She was very nice, but I was told that my account was already in the process of being deleted even though I could still see it up on the web. It was clearly me and there was no reason at all to not just simply change back my email and let me set a new password.

Here's is the scoop. Myspace has a hacker who is doing this. Instead of helping the loyal customers (they make a ton off advertising, so yes we earn them that, with our content), they have clearly made a choice to not go back and fix these accounts. But to let them be deleted and save the time it would cost them to do the right thing.

For us. The people who spent countless hours, days, months and years building these spaces are not never going to get that time back. Myspace backs up it's site every night. It could do the right thing and fix these spaces. They just don't care too.

I was told the only opition I had was to get a lawyer or file a police report. I think the right opition is going to be a class action lawsuit. I am filing a complaint with the BBB of California as well as writing the Attorney Generals Office Edmond G. Brown Jr.

I was deleted. I had over 10,000 friends who I was networking with when I was locked out because I refused one author an appearance on my show and she stalked me. I did nothing wrongand I checked the terms of service. My space is should be sued just for deleting without a reason. Any gained for a class action law suit

I've been writing about a real life crime family and MySpace is trying to censor me-I've had difficulty writing and logging in all day.

MySpace acts like God and couldn't care less about any of their account users.

I have not been able to log into my Myspace account for several months now. It says my password is invalid, but when I had them email me my password, it was the same one I use to log in. I googled to find their local phone number in Santa Monica, CA, but I NEVER recieve a call back and they NEVER respond to my many emails to them.

I want to delete my account, BUT I HAVE TO LOG IN IN ORDER TO CANCEL IT! I don't like my personal information out where I am subject to hackers where I can't even check on it. My next recourse is to contact the Federal Trade Commision in order to have my personal info unlocked and deleted.

Falsely accused of cyberbullying. 2+-year account was completely deleted. Complained to customer service that account WAS NOT to be deleted; but they still deleted my account. Very disastified with service. Very disrepectful and unreliable customer service.

I discovered, about 6 months ago that my Myspace account has been hacked into, my password changed and the e-mail address to reset my password also have been changed, I learned of this when I had family and friends contacting me regarding some of the (I guess there called BLOGGS) that was on the page, I found out how ever Hacked into my Myspace account put on there that I have AIDS and was enjoying all the unprotected sex I could get, I was so upset that I could not get into my MYSPACE page that I tried to contact Myspace corporate office to get this taken care of, I did not realize that MYSPACE have more protection, than its Users and the Federal Government, you can call them they never call you back, you can e-mail them without an account (HELLO I AM LOCKED OUT) so how could I log into my account, I have tried to get my account deleted unsuccessfully for 5 months. From my own experience and after contacting the MYSPACE Legal Team with no return phone call (EVER) I would never recommend to anyone ever to get a Myspace account, especially if a minor is involved as you will regret it and be tormented by the cyber hackers that Myspace could give a SH?? About, this has ruined my for any e-mail and or other companies like Myspace. They have poor to no customer service; they have little to no security.

Amber was harassing me, writting nasty blogs about me and my family including my 5 year old son, and even created a fake account and made it look like it was from me. it was set up under my name and had my picture public. she had extremly vulgar content on it. it also included racial slams calling my 5 year old a mutt. family and friends could see it as though I did it. i reported it and mysapce did nothing. myspace states if those types of things are done that they will terminate your account. well she still has her account, that she posts negetive things about me on a regular basis, and the fake account is still there. I do not even know this girl

My employer found the website and brought me in to discuss the content, i work in a pre-school. My family and friends did see the account as well, and it caused problems in my marriage.

My daughter is 13 years old and met a girl in another chat room. This girl set up a hotmail account for eMail verification and then used that eMail to set up a My space page for my daughter. I have attempted to delete the account but it is still there. I have tried to contact my space via emails and complaint links from their site and I have had no success. I finally changed and/or removed everything I could from the profile to protect my daughter.

I have not idea how many wacko's have already gotten access to personal information. I have also attempted to contact this autum person because I believe she is a pedifile. The person has exposed my daughter to large amounts of ************ material. I'm in the process of contacting the authorities to investigate further.

I have lost the innocents of my daughter. When are we going to inact laws that protect our children.

This one particular girl is mad at me. My MySpace was cancelled because she reported me for cyberullying - whatever that means. She kept on messaging me over MySpace throwing these mean insults at me for no reason. I messaged Tom about it and he immediatly emailed me back telling me that i was reported for underage, cyberbullying, and innappropiate use of language. THAT'S INSANE!

Anyway, MySpace has terrible service and should not even exist. MySpace is a big web of drama! I would understand if people wanted to keep in touch, but children are having cybersex all over this website! Now, that's something to report about. STAY AWAY FROM MYSPACE! (IF YOUR SMART)

Received a message from some punk wanting sex. I reported it to MySpace. I got an email from MySpace saying something along the lines of, If you feel threatened, please call the police. I said, I am not feeling threatened, I just wanted to report this. Back and forth like that for a week or so (four emails). I open up my email one morning to see MySpace Account Deletion: terminated for violation of Terms of Service. I emailed them, they said I violated the TOS and gave me the link. I read over the TOS and could find NOTHING that I did wrong.

Copied and pasted the part about account termination/violations into an email, pointing out that I did not violate ANY of the rules. The only thing I was guilty of was being a little sarcastic with their auto-replies. They send me an email back and said, We apologize for the inconvenience. We have carefully reviewed the profile and found it does not violate our Terms of Service. As previously mentioned you may block the user from contacting you again. Of course, I can't reactivate my profile, so I said I wanted a manager to contact me and I wanted the info and friend info from my page copied into an email - as they said, they reviewed by profile after deletion.

Haven't heard anything back. Sent another email. Nothing. After 6 emails, I finally hear back from MySpace that they do not do customer support via the telephone. I tell them it's unacceptable that they, a large company, does not have a manager I can talk with. I rec'd the same email I had received 5 times prior.

How can myspace not be held liable as a platform for harassment!!

This has caused unwarranted stress and humiliation in my life. I want answers and i want someone to be held accountable for their actions.

A girl my daughter goes to school with was angry with her and sought revenge. She reported her to Tom for cyberbullying. They cancelled my daughters account without researching both girls pages. After 3 days, I never did get an answer to my question which was why was the other girls account not cancelled also? I read the communication and there were no threats or intimidation from anyone. Myspace.com could not even tell me what research was done and even got my daughters myspace address incorrect.

The girl is bullying my daughter at school and changed the words on an email, made copies and passed them around at school. She bragged about getting my daughter kicked off of myspace. Myspace has NO idea what this girl said to MY daughter in the e-mails. The last contact from them was YOUR ACCOUNT WAS CANCELLED. It wasn't even MY account! They have NO customer service. STAY AWAY!

I had a space account that was compromised back on December 5th, 2007.I requested a password numerous times to be sent to one of my e-mail accounts, and they never sent one. After many attempts, I asked them to send my password to another e-mail account, which they did; the password did not work, however. I kept informing them of this, and all I received was auto responses.

They finally sent me instructions to send in a salute, which is a picture of an individual holding up a sign with the my space ID written on it (that was some time in April.)A week or so later, they rejected it saying that the writing on the sign was not "legible"; it was quite legible... They said that I would have to send another salute. I sent in many more salutes, and never received an answer (except for more auto replies.) I asked them to either simply send me a password reset or cancel the account. Again, no reply (the account is taking up a lot of space on my hard drive, and I have no idea what the individual controlling the account is going to do.) I even sent several e-mails to the legal department and was totally ignored. I am appalled at their lack of professionalism.

I've tried deleting my account 5 times in the past 2 weeks and I still log onto my home page. I just want to not exist in myspace at all. I feel that due to the popularity of facebook, myspace is not letting people delete their accounts; I am not on facebook and would like my account to be cancelled, which they have failed to do after I followed all cancellation procedures. Due to my job, I must delete my account. Enough said.

I tried cancelling a myspace account but was having no luck. I e-mailed customer service to please cancel my account and they have now locked me out of it completely w/ no way to log-on and delete profile, etc. It's been a very frustrating experience and I hope that someone w/ a legal authority is taking notice.

An imposter profile was put up 2 years ago regarding my husband. The profile is completely slanderous and false except for our phone number and address. The profile encourages people to stop by as our door is always open. I am scared. I have a two year old and want to be able to sleep at night. I have heard from others that Myspace can take up to 4 months to respond. I can't wait that long. Something needs to be done about this site, it is jeopordizing the safety of people and should be liable. Scared that something will/could happen. I feel my home and my family has or will be violated and my husband's business could suffer.

Somehow, someone signed my email up to myspace. I have written them many many times and explained this and told them to take me off their site. They send me an email telling me how to delete myself saying I need to sign into my account. Again I explained, I don't have an account, password or anything else. Take me off! Keep getting emails from people who want to friend me. VERY FRUSTRATED!

I want to close the account. The email I signed up with is no longer valid or accessible and had been canceled without a warning. When I went to change it on myspace it sent a confirmation to my old email. Ditto if I just try to close the acct. I asked myspace to change the email and they asked me to email them a photo of me holding a sign with my 'friend' id. THEN they said send another photo with the sign, better lit room with me holding up three fingers. What kind of a Mickey Mouse outfit makes such demands? I want the account closed, period. - I have an email trail for proof.

My MySpace account, I can't log into it for weeks. I know my account is still active, I can see in via it's url. Everyday I send an e-mail to Customer Service and I never get a reply. I tried calling the listed customer service phone number and all mailboxes, everymail box is full or all options lead back to the main menu.

I have made many online friends. I get e-mail notifications of messages left for me and I cannot retrive them.

I, like many of the people on here, have had no luck trying to gain access to my compromised account. I have just called them. The voicemail recording states that this is the reception for Fox Universal. I will update if I have anymore useful info. Good luck to everyone!

My child has a myspace profile and was communicating very graphically with a 20 year old man. She just turned 14. When confronted with the fact his profile is 20 years she showed numerous other profiles that showed incorrect ages for numerous other profiles and a teen girl with a profile of 84. We reluctantly accepted this explanation and called the person and he said he was 16. One morning this individual was found in our home early in the morning and when the parents were contacted we were told he was 20 years old.

My space doesn't make any effor to get the age of people or even verify. I reported that she was underage before she turned 14 however Myspace responded that there was no evidence she was underage.

This incident has put a tremendous strain on my marriage and emotional damage to my wife who is still in shock.

i have contacted myspace about a particular person that has put up a picture of my two year old twin girls. though the picture is nothing more than them standing in front of their toys, the picture was not authorized to be put on this persons website. this girl that put it on her site is the daughter of my husbands ex-wife. this girl is not my husbands daughter and not related to me or my kids. i do not want my kids associated with this girl or the strangers that view her webpage. she is a 17 year old who invites total strangers to view her page. i am upset that my girls picture is on her page with out my consent. i have contacted her to take it off and she wrote on her blog that i could just kiss her ass because there was nothing i could do about it. this girl uses bad language and puts pictures up of herself that i find inappropriate for a girl her age to do. i do not want my girls associated with her or her page in any way. what can i do to have it removed from her page?

More and more start myspace to build a wall between north america and the rest of the world. On Myspace have they special event for user in North America that other countries can't reach. We can't either get friends from North america as they don't see us on their search if they don't go International and we get only people and event that are from our special country and can only see people from our countries.

They are talking about China and their control on Internet but USA are not so far behind by seperate themself from other countries. There are more sites that do it and more to follow as those sites are so big on Internet.... I have lived in USA for many years and prefer to talk to people in USA but I am cut off from join them as the site can see that I don't live in USA. Internet are working against all the talk about the world to be as one and it sad to see as you do not make war to friends.

MySpace only allows email to go to whatever account you set your profile using and does not allow you to update or delete your profile unless you click a link. My husband and I have tried to inactivate our accounts, but MySpace sends the link to an account which is no longer exists. My husband has email customer support on 3 different occassions, and on 3 different occasions he has gotten the same reply. We have tried to contact the MySpace number and either: 1) the mailbox is full and can't accept any more message; 2) that line is busy; or 3) you've selected a number that is not in service.

I have had the same experiences as many have already documented on this website. Perhaps these complaints should go to the California Attorney Generals Office and Los Angeles Prosecutors Office. Anyone have the links to these jurisdications?

I uploaded one of my favorite pictures, the vitruvian(the Da Vinci drawing of a man with his arms and legs outstretched) into my Myspace pictures folder. The next day I found that it was deleted because it violated the terms of use of Myspace. I can only guess it is because in the drawing the man's genitalia is visible. I find this completely perplexing. Art and science are not *********** no matter how an argument could be staged. Would they kick me off if I were to have a photograph of Michaelangelo's David? That is what I asked them already, yet to recieve an answer.

What makes the matter worse and more offensive is the prevalence of lewd advertisements on the Myspace website. Every time I log in, I see some pretty young girl portrayed in an objectified and sexual manner. Now they think that a work of art or a scientific study into the nature of the human body falls into their catagory of ************ nudity or offensive subject matter. Well I am offended!

There has been no economic or physical damage. I am, however, confused and I question what Myspace hopes to accomplish by such contradictory rules.

I deleted my account over a week ago. After four tries, my account was finally deactivated, but the profile remains. I went to customer service, who refuse to delete the profile. According to them, the issue is resolved. It is not, and will not be until that profile is removed completely.

MySpace offers a feature called custom URL, which allows a user to have a permanent URL for their profile at myspace.com. I selected the profile myspace.com/irons and had this set as my permanent URL until last December 2007, when one day I noticed it was no longer linked to my profile. When I went to see what appeared at that URL, it was linked to a band called Irons.

I contacted MySpace support on several occasions and received no reply. I don't want to appear paranoid but I suspect that a MySpace employee who was friends with the band removed my URL and linked it to the bands, even though it is falsely advertised as a permanent feature.

I thought that I had successfully deleted my account at MySpace. Boy, was I wrong, it is still up and wonder of wonders I cannot access it, and MySpace refuses in any real way to help me get back in to delete it. I have been ignored and treated as if I were stupid. All of the replies I have been given by their support staff have been for an issue that i don't have or simply referring me to FAQ or FYI information. I have had to take a picture of myself holding a stupid sign now 2x supposedly to prove my identity, and the demands are just getting worse and even more random. Who holds these morons responsible for thier behavior and business practices??

I sent an e-mail to MySpace Customer Service informing them about my 10 year old niece having a MySpace page. I provided them with as much information as I could to have her page deleted. I was first told that they couldn't find her page. After responding and copying the FCC they responded saying that they would delete her page within a certain number of hours.

She has since re-created another page. I again sent them as much information as I could and suggested that they block her IP Address since her mother, to my shock, sees nothing wrong with her 10 year old daughter having access to a website that is a haven for child predators. They responded saying that they would not be able to block the IP Address.

I feel that MySpace should be obligated to make sure that children are not exploited on their website. When MySpace receives valid complaints alerting them about underage users -- those complaints should be taken more seriously. Children are being targeted via internet by sexual predators now more than ever. Something has got to be done to keep children from becoming potential victims. Companies that provide communication tools such as MySpace must be more proactive -- even if parents are too lazy or ignorant to be concerned.

How many complaints or incidences will it take, and these here are mere drops in the bucket, before someone does something about MySpace?

I created a MySpace for my son to use for famly and school friends. He is under 17 years of age. His account was compromised and we cannot access it any longer. I advised MySpace that as his parent and the creator of his account, I need the password that was changed without my knowledge or permission. I need to be able to monitor my child and if an account has been compromised, I need the abilty to delete it or take back control.

They advised me they can do nothing. Informed me I would have to call Law Enforcement, file a report, then contact an attorney and have an attorney request information which they may or may not be required to comply with!!!!

I am stunned.

They told me to set my teen down and discuss online safety. That was their recommedation!! This is incredulous.
These blanket responses to parents who do care about their child's safety and make every effort to monitor their child's on-line activity, are useless and display that MySpace has little regard for safety. The ability to insure our children's online safety at MySpace has been taken out of our hands. And it is in the hands of an entity that does not provide customer support, remedy, useable information, parental support for it's market and apparantly uneducated IT Securtity for it's business. I think it is time an outside agency come in and demand these issues are corrected with MySpace.

This will continue on, until something quite horrific perhaps takes place because of the lack of all of the above I have mentioned.

We are not speaking of censorship here. We are speaking of ASSISTING parents with every aspect of monitoring the safety of their children, in good faith. I believe there should be penalty and repurcussion for MySpace if they do not implement better service for parents. My son died in a car accident in August 2007. He had a myspace profile that is now the target of spammers. I would like the profile deleted. I have tried to get help from myspace but none is forthcoming. Who do I contact to get it deleted? Preferably a contact that is actually human.

I have tried on numerous occasions to cancel my myspace account. All I receive is a generic message telling me what to do. This makes no sense to me as a parent to not get a response to canceling an account! God forbid my teenager creates an account and is unable to cancel it! Someone is acting like they are me. Harassing me and putting degrading content about me on it. I contacted Myspace customer service and never received a response, every time. I use Myspace for networking and marketing my music. The person is requesting my friends and messing up my career.

My reputation and picture of me is on the page. People will not want to work with me in music.

To make a very long and frustrating story short, I have been unable to get into my profile and retrieve valuable pictures and information that is on there for the general public to see. I have been trying for weeks to contact someone from this company to no avail. It's obvious they don't have anyone doing customer service. I have received about a dozen replies that are clearly computer generated and have not gotten one single person live on the phone or even got one single call back after calling and leaving messages dozens of times in their voice mail. There are personal pictures I no longer want posted without putting a copyright which I can't do because I can't get to my site to do it. They should NOT be allowed to treat people in this regard and to be allowed to freeze people out of their own personal profiles with no option to even cancel their accounts. It's wrong and someone should do something about it who has the means to do so.

In the beginning of Jan. 2008, I had requested to change my email address because the email I was using did not exist anymore. So after 3 emails later I finally received a reply on Jan. 15 saying my request was fulfilled. I was able to log in and do whatever I was able to do before. The very next day I attempted to log in; it was telling me my email is invalid. I contacted the customer service again, and they did not reply. After several emails I finally get a reply. They tell me in order to prove I am a real person, I need to send a picture of myself with a stupid sign showing myspace.com and my friend ID. I replied telling them the information I provided before to change my email should be sufficient to fix my account. I got an automated email basically telling me how to fix the problem for dummies. I am not stupid. I sent 5 emails now and still no replies. I now sent them an email asking them to cancel my account since their poor customer service won't fix my problem.

I have pictures, comments and videos I no longer have on my computer, stored on that account. I am very upset because they have horrible customer service. I believe Tom should handle issues since his own agents who deal with issues like this are incompetent.

There is a woman on myspace.com who has a private account. That's fine. My complaint is that her default picture is of my 5-year-old son. I have written to the myspace complaint dept., and they send me emails stating that the problem has been taken care of...when in fact it has not. I am getting phone calls now due to this person posting my phone number online. I'm going to have to change my phone number which is very inconvenient because now I will have a charge for this and also have to give it out to family and friends again.

I was phished about 2.5 weeks back. I had my pass word changed and some html codes sneaked in. NOW I can't log on change the pass word or see if I have any friends left. I use my page as a contact base for artists. I wrote to myspace's so called CS. BUT I was re-directed to a page that GAVE no answers much less helped me. I sent letters to my space cs. They said to try this and that. NOTHING HELPED; I still cant get in. MY space HAS yet to LOOK INTO THIS.. I did receive a "we are having a error with OUR system pls wait." It doesn't take 2.5 weeks to fix. THEY are the administrator; they can go into my account and FIX THIS since I was phished, not of my doing.

To date, NOTHING has been done. I've searched the 1-800 numbers to get a LIVE person to look into this and FIX it. StillNOTHING. I'M LIVID. The last time I was phished I lost over 200 art contacts. I may not have any recourse to this, but ALL the bad press will effect myspace at some point. They seem more in favor of concerts. movies, and sex more than fixing problems and getting back to inquiries-- and instead of fixing, repairing and stopping phishers. NO LOGIC in them and it shows!

I have many art contacts. Since I can't get into it I'm not aware if any one else got deleted or hacked into, or what spam was sent out in my name falsely. A person has used my deatils and photo to create a page on Myspace. They have been sending abusive comments to others and sending disgusting, threatening and abusive comments to the page which has been set up as me with my details. I know who the person is who has set this up. I have now emailed Myspace four times over the last 3 days requesting that they remove the webpage and look into who set this up and they have done nothing yet. I have reported it to the police and they are looking into it. But I cannot understand why Myspace hasn't acted on the complaint. Somebody is impersonating me and they haven't done anything to stop this!

The wegpage and profile which they have created as me is awful and the comments which they have left are disgusting and abusive. Not only have they stolen my identity but they are damaging my reputation, and as the days go by, this is only getting worse. This is classified as cyberbullying, which you think Myspace would react to ASAP! Myspace is responsable for regulating their site and this is a bad example of them keeping the site secure and safe.

Someone has made a Myspace blog on my 14-year-old daughter; they managed to doctor her picture and left her indecently dressed and wrote allot of obscenities. We have tried emailing myspace to get this site shut down, but no joy at the moment. It's also in the hands of the West Midlands Police.

I have a Myspace account that I have tried to cancel because a comment was sent to another user's profile that I didn't send, but it was sent from my myspace details. I have sent a number of requests to cancel myspace; but this has been going on for about 3 or 4 weeks, and have not received any email to cancel like the the site promises when you request to cancel.

All they have sent me is 2 emails to change my account settings, but that isn't good enough. I am really unhappy with the service, and all I want to do is cancel. I seem to be getting nowhere, and its making me ill.

I created a profile page on Dec.13, 2007 on MySpace for the first time with a link to my email account. I never had a problem until Jan. 3, 2008. Earlier on that day I logged on to check invites and comments, then logged out. Then between 10pm and 12midnight the same day, I checked my yahoo email account for mail. I received a notice Jan. 3, 2008 in my yahoo email account that I had a comment posted on my Myspace profile from a friend and to click the link under the notice to acces my comment. I did and proceeded to log on with my Myspace email and password. A message comes up that there was no account on file with that email or password account. I tried again and another notice appeared saying the profile has been delected by the user or cancelled.

I tried many times to log on after that, then got an account verification line to type in which I did complete and the same invalid user and password notice appeared. I followed their help page instructions to search for comments to friends. I found two friends listed on the search page with my name and comment. I entered their url page name and checked their pages for my comment and my picture and my photo was no longer on their page and the spot listed with the date and time I posted a comment only showed a no photo marque with the comment. I sent Myspace a notice concerning my account. Then I decided to make another profile page the same day but got disgusted about all the friends I had to reestablish and the time I lost. So I cancelled the second account personally. Again my first account vanished and I did not cancel nor deleted my first profile page. There was nothing offensive on my page...no ****, no nudity, and every friend was over the age of 24 years old. I followed every privacy policy offered by Myspace, changed passwords many times while I had the first profile. How in the heck did my first profile vanish, and where is it and who has it?

I had two family member pictures and my defalut picture in my Myspace photo page. Thank goodness I didn't tag their names, but mine is tagged. My concern is the pictures may have fallen in the hands of a sick minded person. I hope my attorney isn't necessary, but if comes to that so be it.

I am being called names and things that are untrue on a woman's memorial web site for her son who died last year. My son is being targeted, too, with her making false claims and accusations.I have complained to myspace customer service, and I have not gotten a response back. We live in a small town, and a lot of people who I know, as well as and my son's friends, frequent this womans web sit. All of it is untrue, and she knows it. I asked her to stop. Please help me. My 12 year old daughter has a myspace and I'm unable to contact Customer Service to have her myspace discontinued. She is under age and even though most of the photos I see on her site are appropriate, she does have access to other sites that are not appropriate for age. Our band profile of 4 years was deleted on a whim by myspace. No regard to explaining why and to this day no replies were sent back to us with an explanation. I've started a petition online as a result. I wrote an editorial of this matter here.

We've lost 14,000+ fans, which affected our cd sales. We lost our overall momentum and not to mention the band's morale is completely shot.

Myspace has been fun, but I feel that in the short time I have been up the security issues make this a bad idea. Weird hacker schemes abound. And there is no customer service, no oversite, nothing. I don't mean their customer service department is inefficient. I mean that no oversight exists. My computer, a tool which I rely on for school and business has been attacked a few times. Weird ads which attach themselves to your blog or which force themselves to be posted in the form of comments. The worst part is that a message which claims to be from Tom a fictitious Myspace employee is opened to unleash a series of stubborn unwanted pop up ads. Ads which force themselves through all of your pop up protection. One such ad is for a website called rond.stardoor.com. Other of these vandal ads are for some very established online businesses. On such ad was for E-bay.

The situation is obvious. No one is monitoring Myspace in the least. I have never recieved a reply to any complaint. Furthermore, teams of violent pirates are steadily hacking away at every account they can. I am sure that someone is paying these guys to ruin my computer. I feel that this situation is becomming progressively worse. I fear for the security of my online financial information.

Pop up ads have interrupted my usage of the internet a five minute intervals. Pop up ads now appear everytime I go online. My pop up blocking is on the highest setting. I have spent hours deleting any and all suspicious programming from my computer.

Worst of all Myspace is making huge profits on this principle...Put your ideas on the web. Bounce them off of your friends. In turn you get to check out all sorts of new ideas in all forums of business and the arts. They are in fact offering the potential to make a real name for yourself in your chosen arena. In retur, Myspace is chock full of good old fashioned advertising. What would happen if a TV station simply forgot to oversee it's operations? What if advertisements popped up in the middle of Monday Night Football? Would there be damages? What about your telephone? What if unwanted blurbs just bust into the average phone call? In my personal experience, had this latest incident happened during finals, or while applying for internship, then there would be damages, big time.

Having been the victim of identity theft once, this was scary, at the least. It seems ANYONE can open a MySpace account. Shame on them.

My 14 year old stepson had a myspace account against our advice which we found by accident. He was told to sign on and leave. After reading the horrible content of not only his Profile (including his full name, school and disgusting data), we reviewed his email correspondence. It was scary and included admitting to using drugs, cussing like a chld we never knew, alcohol, being sexually active and we asked for help from Myspace to close this account. Their response was they are allowed to have an account at 14 and there was nothing we could do.

He did assist in getting it closed; whereas he moved to his mother's because we invaded his privacy (including degrading him with a drug test in our home) and refuses to come back. We are in the midst of child support, etc. legal procedings from his mother who seemed to feel this was fine (we were out of line). He is now 15, has a new myspace which is private again and only open to those he lets in. He has been failing since he started 9th grade and, he and his father can't do anything about the myspace access.

I have had consistent problems with Myspace. Someone has been able to get onto my account and change everything, including the password, so that I can't get on and change it. I have sent numerous emails, but Myspace does nothing.

My child interacted with an adult male between May 2007 and October 2007 on MYSPACE. After investigating, I discovered he was a registered sex offender and had FOUR MYSPACE accounts, all with different sexual orientations, different page set ups, etc.

I contacted MYSPACE repeatedly, and all I got was a bot response stating they needed more information, even though I had sent his name, link to the sexual predator page he was on, address to his web page, name of the city the molestations were occurring in, case number, and detective name.

Finally, after writing one VERY angry email and telling them what I thought of them, they pulled ONE of his FOUR profiles. The man is charged with 2 counts child rape, one count child molestation, and one count for contacting a minor for immoral purposes (through MYSPACE)... and the emails were VIVID. and his previous molestation charge was against a 12 year old girl (mine was 13 and 14 at the time.)

Our lives are filled with hiding now. It took them weeks to arrest him because of other girls now surfacing that were involved with him and them getting their case together. My daughter missed 2 weeks of school, cant go to the library or out with her friends or to the local store. Her MYSPACE page is full of suicide thoughts, admissions of cutting herself, and complete devastation.

She can't think, can't function... This man promised her marriage, and a lifetime.

I was afraid to leave her home as he knew where we lived and afraid to go to work for fear he would come to my home. There were many nights she just came and sat at my work for hours and hours and waited for me to get off work late at night. This man has torn my daughter apart. Our lives are now filled with suspicion of EVERYONE, fear of going anywhere (until he was arrested, but now we fear they will let him out). I have to monitor her constantly as Im afraid she may take her life.

I've been a regular poster in the Myspace religion forum for over two years now and I would just like to bring to light some of the things that are allowed to go on in Myspace forums.

To the best of my knowledge, Myspace has only had voluntary moderators to look over its forums. Recently, the consequence of voluntary moderators has come to a climax in the religion forum.

Lately, the place has become utter chaos when the moderator started allowing his friends to use his moderating powers. I suppose by letting them sign into his account or doing personal favors for them. The result was countless numbers of good forum members being banned on sight everytime they would come into the forum with a new account, due to nothing other than personal vendettas. Any of these people who vocalize their thoughts on the issue are verbally abused and banned again.

During all my time at Myspace, never are warnings given for bannings, not even those who deserved to be banned and never are people told why they are banned so that at least they can assess their behavior before returning to the forum.

But that is not the most horrible part of the problem. Along with the wrong people being forced out of the forum, the verbally abusive and obscene are allowed to stay. They never get banned or even warned.

I also witnessed real photos of necrophelia, a young boy cut in half, a dead girl with a cross shoved into her throat, and a girl raped and murdered with a broom stick. I watched to see how long these images were allowed to stay in the threads of the Myspace religion forum. Days, to even weeks and it's more than likely that many of those are still there.

In addition to these most horrible images that remain up lately in the religion forum, for the entire two years I have been there, I have noticed that mild **** is allowed to stay up. Some of these posters who post these items are personal friends of the moderator and they simply get away with whatever they want.

All to the expense of those people who come to the RELIGION forum to hopefully find refuge or solice. Instead, many underage children are coming face to face with profanity, necrophelia, murder, **** and you name it. It's really bad.

There is much more to complain about concerning the moderation in the myspace forums, but that's basically the worst part and you can imagine why.

I've tried contacting Myspace with this issue countless times over the course of two years. Hundreds of other Myspace members have done the same. I've tried every avenue. I even called Myspace and the receptionist just directed me to write Myspace about it. I tried to report this through the abuse section of Myspace.

What did I get in return? Mostly nothing except for the one time I actually did get a reply, I got a question/answers memo about Myspace blogs. That just goes to show, it was probably an automated response, or someone is too lazy to deal with the problem. The bottom line is, Myspace has proven to myself and everyone else abused in the forums that they don't care.

The root of the problem is that Myspace isn't concerned with the atmosphere of their forums. They have lately undergone a face lift with the appearance and functions of the forum, but they haven't done anything about the moderators. If Myspace ever cared about it, they would taken some of that revenue and actually paid a staff of professional moderators who are not involved personally with forumers. This would have avoided so much over the years that Myspace has been in business.

MySpace currently has rules in place that forbid bands, artists or individuals to send out mass messages, or spam messages, to other MySpace users, and will delete any account found guilty of this. However, MySpace Records itself sends out mass messages to every user about the bands on its label - surely this is one rule for one, one rule for another and stops free and fair competition between MySpace and its users.

After all, if MySpace can send out one mass message to all its users (150 million and counting) to promote its own bands, yet other people and bands cannot, how is that fair? On top of that, how is it fair that their messages can't be stopped as spam either?

Yesterday we found out someone set up a fraudulent account in our 17 yr old son's name. This was done in Nov 2005. The account was done out of spite to my husband and son. My husband is a principal at my son's school in which some of the kids don't like him because he is strict. we believe the account was set up by a student at the school.

The contents of the accout are rude, disgusting, and defamatory. Not to mention damaging to his character. we would like to find out who did this and take legal action against them.

my son has been humiliated, hurt, and embarrased by this. He is devastated and cannot understand why someone would do this to him. He is a quiet, shy kid who mostly keeps to himself at school and has never been in any trouble.

Earlier this Spring our 15 year old daughter became involved on-line with a 20 year old guy in Everett WA.

We saw extreme behavior shifts, dropping grades, and investigated via Spector Pro software on our computer. We found out about the relationship, and also discovered very alarming chat sessions discussing his heavy drinking, thoughts of suicide, very violent sessions of S&M chat sex, wanting our daughter run away with him to Mexico to make babies and wait for her to turn 18, and even talk of putting out a hit on us or killing us if we tried to stop them from seeing each other.

We immediately took away the phone, her cell phone, and computer access, and told her she was to never contact him again. We also talked to him on the phone and told him the same thing.

She skipped some of her finals the following week, and called him collect from a pay phone at the school. She had him activate an old cell phone she found in the house on one of his cell numbers, gave him phone numbers for all her friends to try to pass messages, and gave him the passwords to all her accounts so he could change them and lock us out.

We then got the Derry NH Police Department involved, and they contacted both the Everett WA police department and this guy. They told the guy he had in fact broken laws and could be prosecuted, and instructed him to have no further contact with our daughter. Instead, he continues to call her friends, making many of their parents angry with our daughter. They don't want some 20 year old guy from Washington calling their 15-16 year old daughters either.

We now have our daughter in both family and individual counseling. We hope the damage can be undone, but it is not looking at all likely so far. She has gone from an A-B college bound student to a C-D "who cares?" student who now says she wants nothing but to finish high school, move to Washington, and marry this guy. Mind you, she has never even met him but for telephone conversations and a few emailed .jpg photos.

Our daughter has a MySpace account ********. That is one of the many accounts that this guy in Washington now controls.

We contacted MySpace, explained the situation, gave them the officer's name at the Derry PD, and requested that they return control over our daughter's account to us.

They talked to the Derry Police, and know the seriousness of the situation. However, they REFUSED to give us control over our daughter's account. They claimed that there is an Internet Privacy Act that provides protection to minors age 14 and older, and unless my daughter gave them permission by emailing them her picture holding up a hand drawn sign with MySpace.Com and her ID number printed on it, they could not release the account back to us. She obviously refuses to do this voluntarily.

We researched this further on the internet as well as through CyberAngels.Org and find that the Internet Privacy Act is an internet myth that does not even exist. There have been several such acts proposed, but none have been signed into law. There is no law protecting the account information of minors on MySpace. The only protection is the policy of the individual sites.

We communicated that information back to MySpace and they continue to REFUSE to give us back our daughter's MySpace account. Apparently they think protecting the accounts of their underage members from their parents is better for business than trying to assist parents in stopping internet predators and pedophiles from preying on those underage members.

We are amazed that considering the amount of bad press MySpace has already gotten as a safe haven for pedophiles and internet predators, they continue to behave in this manner. Perhaps more bad press would help. If not, it would at least make that many more parents aware of just how out of control MySpace really is.

My son is incarcerated in prison and has no access to the internet or email. Someone has created a myspace page for him that is digusting and vile. He is so upset about it and I don't know how to get it removed. I have tried repeatedly to contact myspace.com but to no avail. People who do not know he does not have access to the internet, think it is his page.

He has received letters from friends who think it is his page and want to know why his page is so vile and disgusting. His sister also receives many calls asking the same question. As much as she tries to tell them it is a fake page, the embarrassment continues. She constantly has to defend her brother.

I have had a Myspace page for around a year and a half. In that time, I have been harassed, and had a hooker try to break up my marriage. It took two months of complaining to get rid of her; and I ended up blocking most of the people on my friends list as well as setting my profile to private. About a month ago, I started having a weird link appear on every video, picture, and piece of HTML code on my page; linking to MSPLINKS.com. I deleted them repeatedly, to no avail; and finally gutted my profile.

I sent a email requesting a update in my email address as I have changed it. After I sent the email I then got a message saying I would hear something back by email within 24 hours and never did. Well the day after sending the email I tried to sign into the account I have on myspace and I could not sign in because I got a message saying sign in has failed. How can that be. So I have not been able to sign in and I have not heard from myspace.

I think myspace needs to be shut down. We don't need all the hate and crime that myspace causes. Something needs to be done about all this. There is a lot of things on the site that children don't need to see or hear.

Someone made 2 different accounts on my daughter, using her pictures that they must have copied from her myspace page. After 4 attempts to myspace, and sending nasty messages to the 2 people who created these pages on my daughter, only the first one created deleted the page on their own. The second page however which shows my daughter in an unfavorable manner is still on there. Myspace refuses to contact me or my daughter, via email to assist with helping a minor child, my daughter.

My daughter who is 10 years old was allowed to make two myspace accounts by a 15 year old who did not have the authority to allow her to do this. My daughter is the only one in this town with her last name, which would make it very easy for a preditor of any kind to find her. I have contacted myspace.com through thier contact us link, and throught the report abuse link all I have recieved was a message that I will recieve an email after my complaint has been so called reviewed by myspace. I have recieved nothing!

I want these profiles removed and after a week of sending them several complaints a night I want to see myspace.com off the internet. I think it is ridiculous that someone that is 15 could make a profile for a child that is 10 years old and make that 10 year old child 26 years old on one profile and 20 years old on another profile. Myspace. com is not a safe place at all.

I have been hacked four times now and I am not changing my login information again because every time I do, whoever this person(s) is finds a way to get into my account. There is no one to get straight answers from their customer service department only an automated response. My sister tried unsuccessfully to delete her account, but the site provides no options to do so.

The creator of Myspace , this Tom needs to go back to school to learn how to create A SAFE AND SECURE WEBSITE. Myspace already has a bad image in the media and you can see why. I will investigate this company and find out where they are located, contact that states Attorney General's Office.

Someone has created a false account with all my personal information/pictures. They are also making false accusations causing unknown people to try and contact with me. They have provided strangers with my phone numbers and job/home address. I am fearful for my life an would like for this situation to be addressed immediately!

Myspace is sorley lacking in age verification. I have discovered that my 13 year old daughter has an account with them. I have sent several e mails and submitted many letters to them to remove her site, but they have yet to even respond.

She has been able to have access to many profiles that are unsuitable, and has used it to maintain and set up meetings with the 16 year old boy that she has met.

My daughter is in extreme danger because she does not pay attention to the threaat of preditors. She feels that if they have a picture then they are really that age and they are not lying.

My complaint is that the advertising on MySpace is false. While it is advertised and supposedly for teens over 14, there are no means of enforcing this. In reality, this is a teen/young adult website that is available to ALL.

There are over 50 young girls at my daughters school who are under 13! who have MySpace pages. While on these sites, they often see and have access to pornographic text, journalism and photographs. Who is checking these websites?

I am an actress in atlanta and I found out my now EX FIANCE' was still dealing with his childs mother well this is relevant to my complaint because once she stole his phone there were explicit photos of me in there that were for him only he is now incarcerated for violation for 7 days and now my pictures have been posted on myspace under MY NAME.

I have contacted myspace a total of 100X and NO ONE has responded I have filed a police report and would llike totake them to court along with the crazy woman who did this to me.

Someone created an account with my 16 year old son's picture which was doctored to be pornographic. The site created in my sons name has discusting sexual content. I'm going to need to see a doctor for help myself if it isn't removed soon. I am sitting here crying. I can't imagine the damage it will do to my son if he sees it.

My 12 yr old daughter has a MySpace page. The page states that she is 15, which was never verified in any way. There have already been numerous men and older teen boys contacting her. Someone was able to change her password and we cannot access or delete the page. I have contacted MySpace to have this page removed with no response.

I would like to see legal advice.

Myspace will not delete my daughters account despite my pleadings. I have submitted proof of porn being sent to my daughter among other issues. Parents have no control if the child is getting on somewhere other than home.

I have tried for 3 days to delete account it won't delete, my 11yr old was able to see some of her classmates posing like playboy models I had no idea it was this bad now i cant delete the account.

By now, I'm sure all of you have got a comment, or even a msg from people you dont know, or even your best friend. Did you think they lost their mind when they sent you a comment about a free i-pod, or free coach bag, or ways to see whos been looking at your profile? Your friend hasn't lost their mind. They have become victims to a random act of violence which is spreading through myspace.

This is a problem which could and can be fixed. Only thing is, Myspace is not trying to fix the issue. Ever sit down and wonder why your regular email address hasnt been hacked so easily, and people email out all your friends saying dumb **** or trying to sell something or give out free stuff. Thats because people like yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc, all have their good hackers team, which sit down and try hacking their own sites to see if there are any problems. If they find a problem (loophole, backdoor to get in) then they fix. Thats to avoid people from hacking in.

So, how come myspace isnt doing this? Are they not making enough money? They are getting paid for advertising these big theater movie releases. They are getting paid by big musicians. Getting paid by comedians. Can they not afford to hire a team to better secure this site? Or do they just don't care? They even claim to be sueing some hackers. Once again they are trying to get more money, but not sitting down to fix the issue for future hackers! And believe me there are A LOT.

They have a partnership with Snocap, for musicians to sell their music. Of course not all of that money being made by selling songs is going straight to the musician. This is yet another way they are making money. But why would they be so quick to delete an account , which has close to 50,000 friends, and are registered with Snocap to sell their music? It doesn't make any sense. Its ridiculous!

I needed to change my E-mail on myspace, I put in a request and they sent me a verification number which I used and it claimed the switch was succesful. Now Myspace will not let me sign in whichever e-mail adfdress i use. My ex-boyfriend has posted my bank details on the site. No matter how many times I've contacted myspace they will not give me access or delete the account with my bank details on.

Anyone who looks at the sight will see all of my bank details and it's going to take some effort to change them all, I don't have time.

Despite the claims by the website owners they are cleaning up any problems and do not promote teens hooking up, they run ads on pages that almost everyone who uses MySpace would access for advice information. As many problems as this site has experienced, you would think they had the sense to not use such photos to promote their own site!

I'm going crazy trying to get my son's account deleted.

I have a 14 and 11-year daughters who have created MYSPACE accounts, and I cannot contact anyone about canceling the accounts. There is nudity, gane members, pictures of adults, and ETC... listed on this site. There is no parent control whatsoever about this site. I need to find out a contact number or address so this company can be contacted. I have canceled two of my 14-year-old daughters account and she just creates another one, if the company can corporate with parents with helping them control access to this account then it needs to close down.

My husband and I created a myspace account to keep up with some family and friends..share pictures etc. We are clearly a family page and listed as married, yet..we continually get friend requests intended to drive or lure you to an outside PORN site! It is offensive. They put up provactive pictures and are VERY SUGGESTIVE. I don't know how to stop it...obviously we do not accept but I hate that this stuff is sent to me. I have also had an old man email me asking me what type of panties I was wearing and when I looked at his site he clearly defines himself as pany fettish freak and has an apparent whole group for that on myspace. I just think it's a vehicle that people with bad motives have to much access to peoples personal lives. What should or could be a great tool to connect and share pictures and events with your friends and family has turned into a place for perverts and porn stars to stalk people.

My son and I both have sent numerous requests to have a Myspace page deleted that someone else created pretending to be him. We have had no response from anyone from their customer service dept. My son's racing career could be at risk due to the info a potential sponsor could see and take a negative outlook on him.

I have two accounts on myspace.com -- one is a personal page and the other is a music page but they are both promoting my business and product. On February 20, 2007 I discovered someone has apparently stolen all of my pictures and is pretending to be me. This person's page has lewd and obscene images and comments posted with my picture as the person who is sending it. I have contacted myspace using the proper method they request of you to prove your identity but still no response and the form does not provide you with proof of receipt. The fictitious page is damaging to myself and my company and I feel myspace should promptly respond to fraud, which so far they have not.

This has resulted in defecation of my character which will follow me for years to come since I am an up and coming artist and business woman. The fraudulent page promotes homosexuality, promiscuity, is overtly lewd and obscene. These are all things that I am not and do not wish to have myself nor my company affiliated with.

Someone has created a My Space account including my name and false information. I consider this web page as defamation of character. I have submitted a complaint to MySpace customer service and no one has responded. This Myspace page that has been created has really damaged my reputation.

A person I do not know has a myspace.com profile with my e-mail address on it. I have had this same e-mail address for nearly 10 years. I've made repeated attempts to contact myspace and they do nothing about it.

Meanwhile, I get up to 50 messages a day flooding my inbox from all sorts of weirdos. I'm very reluctant to change my e-mail address because I've had it so long and it's on file everywhere, but I'm almost to that point.

Parents MUST take responsibility for their children's safety, both online and off. When MySpace came into being I predicted that precisely what HAS happened would be what WOULD happen. Parents no longer monitor their children's actions and activities, and in fact rarely have a clue what their children are doing. My last, an adopted grandchild, is now in college. When I went back online ten years ago after not having been online since we were waiting for the 286's to roll off the production line the woman from the phone company told me to put my then 9 y/o on the phone to set up our service because it would be faster, and it was.

That day I decided that my child would NEVER know more about something that could put her this close to harm than I did and set out to learn computers and the web. To this day, ten years later, I STILL know more than she does, and can trace her every step without a keylogger. Turning a child loose with something that gives them access to all that is good and all that is bad as well in the world with no way to know what they are doing much less a way to protect them is child abuse and neglect in its purest form and, IMO, should be punished accordingly.

Myspace wont let me delete my account. I have been trying for months to cancel it. I request to cancel my account and then they are supposed to send me an email to confirm the cancelation, but I still haven't recieved that email. This is absolutely rediculous and I am extrememely frustrated.

I am being harassed. It all started as a result of a relationship that I had with a man. During and after the breakup I started getting emails on myspace from fictious people. These people continued to email my friends and family. These emails are horrible and full of slander. In addition, the people are calling my office and threatening me at my job. It is getting out of control. I personally have not responded to all of this. I would file against these people, but they are not real!!

As a result I have changed my number, deleted my myspace account (which was used as a singing-networking web site), blocked the addresses from my work server and hired a PI to call and ask them to stop harassing me. The phone numbers lead nowhere. I do not think that myspace should allow false names, etc. They should not allow people to be stalked by crazy people.

My job is at stake due to the phone calls. My life has been threatened. I can't market myself as a singer because they will continue to email me. I have moved to an unlocatable address. I changed my number and I will need to contact the LAPD regarding emails, phone calls and libel. I just want this to stop. It would be nice to not live in constant worry and fear.

There are several people with profiles on myspace that have been saying my name, my sons name, my underage grandchildrens names and other personal things about our family -- this site should be monitered better then this. Everyone talks about not putting personal info on the net due to idenity theft but what about someone else doing this and myspace allowing it. We have even had to involve our local law enforcement on several occasions. Someone needs to stop this site or have them stop the users that are violating others privacy.

Trying to have something done before there is damage done.

How in the world can someone else set up an ID for another with a whole different identity and the innocent not know until afterwards? That happened to my child. I am outraged! My daughter is 11 and had a profile of being 28 years old and another girl did this to her. It got passed around at school and of course it got around and she got wind of it and did not tell her father and me. The language that we read was not just sad but difficult.

I have all of the proof that this other child did this and there needs to be consequences to this other individual that started this. We have filed a police report with this individual and it breaks my heart when we see her photos and chats at 11 years old and you know this is going on. We will file formal complaints with the city and call all our friends with the news stations all over and we will be heard.

Our daughter has been bullied by this individual and we had to send our child to a psychologist. Someone is going to be responsible for this. Isn't MySpace monitored? Isn't this checked out by phone numbers? Why is this not checked out by a copy of ID? Why is this not by a parents consent? This is a predators dream.

My 14 year old son made a myspace page with a fake email address so it could not be deleted. He has a problem with internet **** and does role playing with people on line and it makes his addiction worse. I have repeated asked my space to remove the his site and they have not done anything about it. They haven't even attempted to return my complaints. I need this to stop.

My son got a death threat from a high school student on MySpace. Nothing has been done about it. I contacted MySpace ... no results. I called police and again no results. My son was told the individual would go to his school and kill him.

My son is scared to go to school and when he is there he cannot contentrate. He is scared to walk home. Special arrangements have been made to ensure his safety.

*********** is more and more common. I was under the impression this was a site that was closely monitoried but it is apparently not. They don't even respond to complaint emails. The links on the offensive sites that are suppose to allow you to report the *********** do not work, you click and click and they go nowhere. They will not even respond to my complaint and it has been over 24 hrs.

I was just browsing on a friend's web pages, seeing different layouts and songs and all of a sudden I was in a VERY GRAPHIC ***** site. Kids can get access to this!

I am shocked about myspace.com trying to act like they are monitoring their web in any way i have a twelve year old boy who HAD a myspace until i saw what was on it.then he left the pc one day and i started looking around all his friends myspace web sites! I was shocked -- there is nothing but vulgar language, talk of sex, drugs, GANGS.

I assumed my son knew these people but he did not know 98% of the adults that were on his friends list. Myspace is a bad place for our kids to get together.

Harrassing comment made to my wife, by account that was created accusing me of information that is false.

Seperation, possibly divorce unless I can clear my name and trace back who created this account. Account was created and deleted next day after the message was sent. Need myspace to release records of who created this account, personal info, etc.

Two weeks ago I started receiving vulgor messages on myspace from an anonymos profile. They started out just calling me names. Then they start referring to me by my first, middel, and last name. I notified myspace via the report abuse link. They never contatced me back. Then the person created another profile and created a blog with the details of a rape that I was a victim of in 1999. The profile has my picture on their, my entire name, and vulgor comments about me. They also created a blog with sexual remarks about my 7 year old niece. I contacted my local police, but nothing has really been done.

This has brought back so many horrible memories about the night I was raped. These are feeling that I had been able to forget for over almost 7 years now. I'm not sure how many people have viewed this site. It has done alot of damage with my picture and name on there. I am so paranoid and can't sleep at night thinking about it.

Someone created a myspace account and put that I was Single and that I DON't want kids. I am a married man and have three beautiful children. My wife came upon this and now is moving out. This is an issue i would like to resolve immediately. This type of stuff I feel falls under Identity Theft and Slander.

Seriously, you people need to get lives and stop complaining about myspace. im a teenage girl, and i have NEVER received any kind of message involving a 40 something year old man saying he wants to do anything sexual with me. I have a question for you folks. how many of your kids hve computers in their rooms? first off, if this applies to you, your really just asking for trouble. What your kids put up their myspace is up to them, so dont blame the makers of myspace because of something YOUR KIDS put up.

If you are so concened with the things they will see in the world, then DONT GET A COMPUTER. Second, if you are one of those parnents who are so concerned with what your kids will see, then blindfold them. But if you do this, realize that when they are out on their own in the world and dont have the slightest clue what drugs, sex, and homosexuality etc. is, its your fault. you didnt open them up into the world and they know know nothing, good job mom and dad.

Maybe your kids aren't so innocent after all.You can't protect them forever...

My 11 year old son has a profile on MySpace. I have requested his page be deleted on several occasions. I have given them his date of birth and even offered to send a copy of his birth certificate. I have not heard back from anyone at MySpace.com and my sons page still remains.

My 21 year old son had a page set up on that foul myspace.com by his narcissistic soon-to-be ex-wife. He is incarcerated (not spousal abuse) and has NO access to any computer. (That is another story. This 21 year-old girl lies about him, but makes herself appear 'good'. My son has asked her to remove the information she put on this page; the page that makes it look like HE set it up!

I have attempted to contact myspace.com using the *abuse* and *contact* and whatever else there is, to NO AVAIL. This myspace.com is a danger in more ways than one. It is extremely dangerous for minors, and those susceptible to negative influences. My son's experience of identity theft and fraud is apparently NOT uncommon.

This hideous myspace.com refuses to acknowledge my requests. I am left to believe they encourage any and all kinds of perversity, including but not limited to identity theft and fraud. It is of no concern to them. At this point, I suggest we develop a group forum on that site where parents can band together by the multitudes and express their grievances. Slam THEM! Obviously, if they will not respond and maintain any professional behavior, WE should start our own site that will, inevitably, gather thousands to complain and expose THEM. Bookmark this site and spread the word if you believe this would apply much needed pressure toward their callous arrogance.

someone took my son's picture from school and opened a website using his picture and a ***** profile. There are ***** links on the site. I can not get any help from myspace.com to have the site removed. I can not find a DBA of myspace.com to file a complaint with the company.

My son has high functioning autism and has been upset and disfunctional since viewing the site. This site can be viewed my colleges, employers and after seeing the site this has caused my son to be discredited and slandered.

I constantly have had problems with my profile being monitored, my e/mails gone thru and deleted my access blocked and some of the friends on my friends list, sent messages by this Tom telling them that my profile is blocked and to NOT contact me. I have done nothing wrong, I am a 46 y/o mother of 2 and a nurse, yet my teenage kids CONSTANTLY BATTLE PEDOPHILES AND PERVERTS EVERY DAY ON HERE AND THIS SITE DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT. I deleted my first profile because this site blocked my access, I made another profile and it was blocked as well. like I said I am a 46 y/o mother of two, and cannot send an ordinary e/mail, yet my daughter has been caught THREE TIMES by me e/mailing a pervert who was 46 years old, my daughter being only fourteen!!!! The site does nothing about it!

Greetings, I have had a female former-friend who has been harassing me via the internet, and in person for two years now. I have a myspace page, and she recently joined, but is using multiple email addresses and profiles to send me harassing messages accusing me of stalking her. It is bizarre because she tells me to get on with my life and stop obsessing about what she is doing with her life! The reality of the situation is that she is using multiple means of internet contact to continue the harassment all the while complaining that I am the stalker.

She claims that I am the one with the problem. She has taken great pains to copy me ever since high school and continues to assert that she has done the exact same things in her life (same clubs, classes, and even tried to get into same university!) only better than me and that I should stop trying to be richer/prettier/smarter/as successful as she is. She also claims that my IP gives away my address and that she can get said information off of the internet pages (like my myspace profile) I would like to know if it is possible to get IP address information by just visiting a webpage?

The effects of her cyberstalking, and claiming that I am stealing her identity are extensive. I am afraid of opening my email and essentially new friend requests all have to be screened in minute detail in order to make sure it is not her posing as someone else in order to gain access to my profile. Is there anything that I can do to stop her from spouting off to anyone who will listen and claiming that I am a toxic, manipulative Identity theif?

She constantly bad-mouths me to anyone who has a computer or phone. Terrorizes my friends or aquaintances into blocking me or not corresponding with me because they just want peace and if there is any evidence that I am in contact with them she will call them and yell at them etc. in a truly manic fashion until they have no choice but to block or delete me in order to get rid of her. This whole thing is truly disturbing! I would like some advice (aside from just getting off of myspace because I have tried that and the stuff she does just increases instead of abates).

I am just disgusted with myspace -- there is a diaper pervert profile with 400 friends. Most of the older men have hidden face photos asking young girls and boys to pose in diapers in sexual positions. One of the members has a disclaimer saying this is not pedophile/pervert,behaviour. Tell me how sick is it to get turned on seeing a young girl/boy in diapers? Digusted.

Many parents are complaining about myspace. For one, the site states that no one under 18 is to use it. Second, parents need to educate their children about sites like this. That they are for adults. (over 18) Third, where are the parents while their children are trying to use this site? Does the child have the computer in their room and if so then the parents are just asking for trouble. Parents want to blame sites like this one for what their child does. It is not the sites responsibility!! It is the parents to monitor what their own child is doing on computers. Also, it is easier for your child to go into a chat room and meet a predator and go meet them than it is for that to happen at myspace. If you don't want your child on myspace, then pay attention to what they're doing!!

My 14 year old daughter registered and placed photos. Her friends then changed her password and altered the webpage and her age which is now listed incorrectly as 16. I have sent Myspace.com at least 40 e-mails demanding the webpage be torn down/deleted. It took 2 weeks to get one e-mail stating there was no proof of her age, so the webpage would remain intact. This is insane! They don't ask for proof, any means of contact- they just hide behind an electronic, cyber place and enjoy the profits at children's expense. This website is just wrong in so many ways. No wonder it is so popular- evil has that appeal.

I have sick, twisted people looking at my daughter, her images, making comments and it cannot even be taken down. Children do not realize what they are doing when they setup an account, which is all too easy.

Someone posted a MySpace page using my image, name, and position as an administrator at a college. They created a network of current and former students and wrote comments to these students who, in turn, also wrote comments on the page falsely representing me.

When I complained twice to MySpace about the situation, I did not even receive a reply. This irresponsible use of my image and identity is personally insulting and undermines the authority of the college. MySpace does nothing to ensure proper use of identity or respond to such complaints.

My 11-year old son has been using this site to email friends in his 6th grade class. I have discovered that there are approximately 35 sixth graders (11-12 year olds) from his schoool that are using this site on a daily basis. My husband and I originally understood that this site is promoted as a safe site for kids to visit on the internet. Tom from MySpace.com sent us an email explaining that he was the moderator and would ensure that everything was kept safe.

This past weekend, I decided to see what my son and his friends have been emailing about on MySpace. I was absolutely shocked to find extremely explicit sexual language and pictures on MySpace.com. Buried in the site guidelines is the requirement that MySpace members must be 14 years of age or older. In my opinion, no one under 18 has any business being on this site! MySpace is absolutely no place for kids (and probably most adults), and there is no moderating to assure that language is kept clean and *********** kept off.

There is no telephone number or access to any live person to make a complaint. I have requested removal/deletion of my 15 year old's profile from this vulgar, sex explicit site that is not controlled by anyone.

The danger this site poses is too great and keeping children off the site is as difficult to accomplish. Who else can I call or write to and try to get this site to deal with the reality that they are allowing under aged, inexperienced and vulnerable children to make profiles on this site and endanger the lives of our children.

My 15 year old daughter has been on the site twice without my consent, and twice have I requested removal/deletion. The filth that is available on this site is unimaginable. I want justice, what are the laws that deal with this?

I just want to say that us current users of MySpace.com shouldn't need to lie about our ages and lower them to 14 just to get a private profile...we should be able to get a private profile and still stay 16 or whatever...

The website is trying to restrict the age...but the kids are lying about their age. The kids on the site that list their age as 18 are only 15.

I recently sent you an email about my daughter's space being copied and sent out to other members of myspace with very nasty messages, which is causing these members to call my daughter with threats. I was told from myspace that I need legal request to find out who is doing this. The person actually went onto my daughter's myspace and copied her screen and stole her pics and all and then went and sent these vulgar messages with her information.

This is a violation of privacy, slander as well as fraud and there has to be something you can do about this! This person is also badgering my daughters name as well as reputation with very explicit accusations on some sort of bulletin and this is totally unacceptable! I cannot understand that you the fact that this can continue to happen and you will not do anything to stop this until I seek legal counsel.

In the mean time with the way teenagers are these days, should my daughter be somewhere where a myspace member received a message and harm my daughter because of something that is out of her control.

My daugter cries day and nite because of this vulgarity....she is being threatened by other myspace members because of this.

My niece has a page on myspace.com. I am appalled by it and have been trying to have it deleted. So far I have emailed them twice and I have received no response. My niece has not been on the site since Nov 2005. My concern is that her name, small town she lives in, and pictures of her are on there. It would be a predators dream to see her profile. This has caused significant problems within our family.

Someone has set up an account with my daughter's picture and is using it as if they are my daughter. My daughter is 10 years old. I have sent emails to have the myspace removed to no avail. Whoever is responding as my daughter is using crude language.

I have made multiple requests to have my son's account cancelled/deleted. I have not received a response, nor has the account been deleted.
