Men At Work

Steven of Ilford,Essex, UK January 17, 2009

In 2007,I joined men at work escort agency who, according to UK trading standards, contravened the law by claiming that once I joined by paying the 225 pounds membership fee,I would be out working by that weekend.I was not and never was for the entire time I was on their books (ie:profiled on their website (menatwork.uk.com).When I pointed out that they had taken on far too many escorts (more membership fees)and there were too few clients, result,I deduced,I was only one of many complainants, they did not even bother to deny it.

Although I accept that work is not guaranteed the fact that men at work have,to date, over 2000 men in 3 escort categories on their books, this is simply unfair ,unethical practice because it is not a viable undertaking from an escorts perspective.Hence I requested a refund in writing and by e-mail-which was totally ignored.I have ascertained that since they contravened consumerlaw by lying to me and the service has gone seriously wrong, according to my statutory rights,I AM fully entitled to a refund.

Although my membership has now expired,I printed off my profile as evidence that I joined them from Sept/07.

The ASA (Advertising Standards Authority)have also upheld a compaint against them, which can be accessed on the internet.

The Police (C.I.D.)inform me that since men at work escort agency continue to take on new men in the FULL knowledge that the PRECEDING members have not obtained ANY work at all, this constitutes fraud/obtaining money by deception-which is a serious criminal offence.I know they possess said knowledge because I and many earlier members complained of no work and anyway their system tells them with 100% accuracy who has obtained work and who has not simply because all bookings must go through them. This being the caseI am looking for a legal way to obtain a refund in full+costs.Any assistance you could offer so I can obtain redress would be greatly appreciated-and to stop this sharp practice aswell.

Basically I have lost 225 pounds which I am seeking to be refunded.I have also experienced distress as a result of this agency subjecting me to verbal abuse, fobbing me off and ignoring my complaints.
