I went in for an interview and they made such a good sales pitch. I signed up and the fee was around $2,400. However, after the first two payments went through, nothing happened except for unanswered calls from the company. And so, I cancelled the credit card so that the third payment would not come out. I have yet to hear from them and for some reason, the only reason this is coming to light now is because I found a reciept for the first payment. I would like the first two payments back but I do not know who to contact.

I was first a client of Great Date Now. They did not fulfill their contractual agreement to provide 10 introductions over 18 months. I went on four dates, then put my membership on hold. I found out the company had changed to Meet Over Drinks when I called to reinstate it and request matches again. At that point, Dawn invited me in and offered a "deal" to start me again at 10 matches for an additional fee of $600. They attempted to match me with several inappropriate men, then I stopped hearing from them. They have not returned a number of phone messages, and their website no longer exists.
I lost a total of $3,100 on this scam. For this money, I went on four dates, one of which was with someone who was "separated" but still living with his wife! I lost a significant amount of money and incurred a great deal of aggravation.
They are scam artists. They changed their name from Great Date Now. They promise everything and give nothing. They refused to return my money. Dawn is a total phony.
I was ripped off. They owe me $3000. The several dates were completely wrong for me. I believe they are out of business and are operating as Meet Over Drinks.
I paid $3,500 to this dating service in August of 2009. I never got to talk to the same person about my matches and most of the time, I got a recorded message. Whenever I got a call back, they were calling from all over the place. These were people that I had never met. They were not from the office. I never did talk to Luella, my initial contact who did the profile, again. I was matched with one date--was guaranteed 12--and now, they are out of business and I am out $3,500! I am widowed and in these tough times, I could use the money. I felt that this service was safer than the Internet. I was very wrong.
I paid them $1500.00 for a membership when it was Great Date now. Then, they got another $400.00 from me when they changed to Meet Over Drinks. I have not met one person. Now, I heard that they are going out of business. I want my money back.
First, they were The Singles Network. Then, Great Date Now which went bankrupt. Now, MeetOverDrinks.com. I was supposed to get 4 matches but I have a hearing loss and I should receive my hearing aids in 2 weeks or less. I have contact numbers for Meet Over Drinks and left a lot of messages. No one is returning my calls. I spent $750 for 4 matches in July. Please, don't join Meet Over Drinks. They take your money and for me, didn't give me any matches. I don't know what lawyer I need and who will take my case. Someone, help? I am a single mom of two and I wish I didn't join this service. Very depressed.
I did a $2500- contract with the Meet over Drinks dating service and now they have charge against them and they are in the New York County Court. They are no longer in business and I want my money back. I need help, what should I do. Thank you.
I joined MeetOverDrinks.com on July 14, 2009. Luella talked to me about the process of joining. She was supposed to give me 4 matches for $750. I told her I could date in August. I had school and then my hearing aids were missing. She said "we won't give you matches till your hearing aids come in". I still don't have my hearing aids. I just got approval from Medicade and I should have my hearing aids in 2 weeks. The problem is MeetOverDrinks.com is going out of business and they never gave me any matches. I paid $750 and I have not dated anyone from MeetOverDrinks.com. I wrote to the Attorney General of NYS and I am very upset. Please help me get my money back. Also, a lot of people took Meet Over Drinks to small claims court and criminal charges. Go to the web browser "meetoverdrinks", you will see a lot of complaints.
Dating service that doesn't work. Contract 10/30/09 for 1 year. Paid $1590.00, no response from them since 11/24/09. Would like refund (or service). Please advise.
