InstantBlindDate.com

Michael of Colorado Springs CO (1/3/04):
Seems to be standard practice to take your money and offer nothing. False advertising - - They say someone wants to contact you. You try to confirm and they offer a trial for 3 days (you must cancel within 24 hrs to get your three dollars back). If you don't contact within 3 days they will charge $25.00 to your card or bank account. You can try to contact these individuals but you will get no answer. The only remedy that I can see is to contact your bank and block ALL transactions from them (ibill). If you ask for support or information you are ignored.

Jeffrey of Corona NY (11/17/03):
They send you a picture saying this person wants to ask you on a blind date, and ask you to sign up, but use their free trial for $3. Well, what happened to me was I decided to take the free trial, so I paid $3. The second I paid, I try to log on, and it says their site is busy, and I keep getting that message everytime I sign on, for 4 days.

The email said that if you dont cancel within 3 days, you will automatically be charged $25. Well, they charged me $25, and there was no way I could cancel the subscription, because I could not go on the website, and I emailed them, but they did not respond until they made a transaction of $25 from my checking account. So now I want to make a complaint about these people to refund my $25 and my $3 because I was not able to use their site, and they charged me for nothing.

Paul of Albany IN (12/6/03):
I signed up for a $3 intro offer for setting up "dates" or online chat, but could not log on to site at all. They gave a transaction # & "PIN" #, none of which did any good for logging on. i received no services at all. When I tried to cancel the "service" I couldn't get through to their "service" dept. I am afraid that they have automatically renewed me for $25/month, which they say will automatically happen every month until I cancel by sending an e-mail to their "service" site.

So far I am out $28,and will be charged another $24.97/month on the 6th of each month until I shut down my checking acct. I guess. The site claimed that the intro offer had to be paid by check but I could charge regular "service" on a phone bill or credit card.

George of Ft. Pierce FL (12/6/03):
The company sent me a picture saying this person wants to go on a date with me. When you visit the website they offer a 3 day trial period for 3 dollars . When you attempt to cancel the website does not accept your password. Now I have been charged for a month after I even recieved confirmation from them that I had canceled.
