I've been trying to cancel this membership for a week and there is never a submit button on the cancel request page. There's no email address that works, there's no phone number. The help page again had no button with which to submit the message. Funny, but the submit button on the sign up page worked just fine...

I have no way to cancel my subscription and therefore may continue to get monthly charges on my credit card with no recourse.

Shelli of Russellville, TN January 3, 2009

Shelli of Russellville TN (01/03/09)
I was charged 39 on 23 Dec 08. After looking back at my records, I saw that I had joined classmates.com on 23 Dec 07 for 9.95. I wrote to complain about this charge without my permission and was informed that While purchasing your Gold membership, you were provided with information just above the Submit Payment? button explaining that all memberships are enrolled in our automatic renewal program. I did not recall any information about automatic renewal and had difficulty finding the information about that and how to prevent the charge in the future.

What was NOT addressed about my complaing was the fact the charge quadrupled. I also feel that automatic renewals should provide the consumer with some reminder. We sign up a YEAR before we are charged again. I do not recall agreeing to the renewal and am VERY unhappy. I am still talking with them and will be talking with my credit card company at my earliest opportunity.
