Class Action Targets Classmates
Classmates Joins Netzero, Juno
NetZero, Juno Merge into United Online

Lucille of Gold River CA (01/12/09)
I was charged an automatic 39 annual renewal fee. Once I discovered their sleight of hand (never having seen the small print about charging me automatically unless I changed a profile that was set to automatic, I tried to get a cancellation of the annual fee, even willing to have the one month of the new year pro-rated out of the annual fee. They refused.

I hope someone succeeds with a class action suit. I can almost understand being able to charge until the customer realizes its error, but to charge an entire year for a service that one wants to cancel, rather than pro-rating it is outrageous! I'm out 39.

I was only using classmate.com once in a while I never signed up for a automatic memberfship. Now I'm getting charged 39.00 I tried to cancel this by calling the number my american express card gave me. Of course you can't talk to anyone. Please call the number and listen to their message. I followed the directions they gave me but on the site they did not show the refund. I need to get my 39.00 dollars back and stop them from continuing this every year automatically. Is there a phone number you can get for me to call and talk to someone. I went through this last year and now they are doing it again.

Did not send the 10.00 gift card for Wal-Mart which was a condition of my registering for a one year membership. The total charged to my credit card was 39.00. I have been advised at least three times that the gift card would be received in 6 to 8 weeks but after 10 weeks not received. I have requested a total refund because of false advertising but they refuse. Cannot find a phone number of the company?

Have lost 39.00 charged to my credit card. No 10.00 gift card received.

I did not authorize my Visa to be used by this company . I do not know how they aquired it . It just appeared on my Visa bill this morning . Some time ago , I joined this site , but it was a free account. I seldom even looked at it . I want a refund from this company to my account and also to know how and where they got my visa number .

I am very upset , at my age 77 I don't need people getting ahold of my visa. I seldom use it as my records will verify .

I signed up for 15.00 for 3 months. I was billed 2 more times and did not like this site at all. When I called the number on my visa bill, I was told (automation) if you are calling re: renewal, you are automatically renewed. I never knew anything about automatic renewal. I was told to go to the site and click onto manual renewal - I did. I was out 30.00. I plan to cancel my credit card. I don't trust Classmates.com. Just a bunch of junk.

Of course, this upset me so much - I felt overwhelmed and felt like I was taken in. I got sick over this.
