rose of n bellmore, NY October 31, 2009

I paid a fee of 9.95 to re-enroll is classmates.com and when I go to the website I can't navigate or go anywhere.

Patricia of Roanoke, VA October 31, 2009

I have tried to cancel with Classmates but have not been able to. Again I was charged 15.00 on Oct. 26, 2009. I don't know just what to do to stop this. Can anyone help.

Rory of Manhattan Beach, CA October 30, 2009

Classmastes.com made an unauthorized charge to my account (Previously canceled over 3 months ago)

Debra of manchester, NH October 30, 2009

I just logged on to bank account and saw that Classmates had charged my acct. 39.00 w/out my permission. It brought my acct. to a negative balance. I never use classmates! I did once but haven't in a very long time. I am now in a negative balance with my back. I live on disability and am a single mother. I feel robbed. They had no permission to do this!

Earl of Butler, PA October 30, 2009

I've been trying to cancell my membership with Classmates.com for several months now. I've tried to call the customer service # and get a recorded message( you have contacted us outside of our normal business hours) however the do not give you their business hours. My credit card has been billed 39.95 twice now and I am unable to stop the charges without changing my account. I didnot signup for auto renewal. From what I'm reading I am in for a long fight.

Lynn of Midlothian, VA October 29, 2009

I have NEVER renewed my classmates.com because I wasnt able to get on to the acct. I was charged 39 in July 2009 and 39 again in Oct. 2009. I have tried to contact them and never can get a hold of anyone. They are charging my VISA acct. What do I do? By reading comments by others, we are all in the same predictament. HELP!

Tina of Aulander, NC October 27, 2009

Ok, so got a new debit card and was never told nor did I realize that some companies like Classmates.com can work around the system, obtain your new number and charge your account for a membership you may not want without your knowledge or permission. You can not contact them to cancel your account, don't get a responese by e-mail while they extort their yearly fees. Per Wachovia my bank, the only way to stop this would be to close the account and open another as it all gets attached to your account number. All this while the bank or classmates never tells you that this can be done. So to sum it up, change bank card, your account can still be charged, no one tells you this, causes overdraft on your account causing bank fees. Who really is protected. Think this practice is extortion and should be stopped!

Paulette of Middleton, NH October 27, 2009

When I called and tried to cancel my auto renewal, they refused to give me a refund - even a partial refund for the 8 months remaining. They charged me 59 - 20 over the original quoted fee! The woman I spoke to refused to give me a supervisor to talk to. The auto renewal practice they have is unethical and should be illegal. I NEVER authorized them to charge my credit card!

Mark of Zolfo Springs, FL October 26, 2009

My back account was also charged a 39 renewal fee, of which I did not authorize, or didnt read the fine print when I purposefully wanted a one year only prescription to the service. The "Classmates" customer service person was pleasant, and said he would remove me from the auto renewal action.

I did not debate a refund of my 39 with him, knowing that by some element in the law of the contract there would be no recourse in my behalf. Let it be a lesson learned in suscribing to services on-line. I told "Customer Service Dave" that I trusted him to remove me from the auto renewal. So, let his conscious be his guide.
