Black Diamond Credit Card

Margaret of Queens Village NY (09/13/08)
I received a lettet of approval and an application form for a Visa and a M aster card for the sum of 5000 each. I was told that if i pay the sum of 59 i will gwt my cards in the mail. After I issued a check for 59 , they sent me another letter asking me to send an additional 300 .

It is clear that this is a scam and effort to get back my application fee has proved unseccsfull. I would advice people out there not to deal wil the Millennium bank because they are not real. They duped me for 59 dollars and this has affected my going to work as I needed this for my gas to enable me go daily to work

I received a guaranteed credit card offer from New Millenium and sent them 59.00 for them to send it and the next thing they did is require me to give them 300.00 more for a fully secured card, which by the way, it could also be no more than 300.00 if I'm foolish enough to send it to them. They totally misrepresented their original offer and I fell for it. Now they'll probably hold on to my money for a month or two before reimbursing if I write them a letter. (If they do reimburse it).

The main complaint I have is that they fool people to get that initial money, probably hoping to get more or that they will just give up and forget about the money they sent them initially? We'll see.

I recieved an offer to apply for a credit card in May 2008. In hopes of attempting to restablish decent credit I sent a 40.00 money to this company and never received anything in the mail after that. I tried contacting this office and couldnt locate any telephone number ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!  That 40.00 could have been a half a tank of gas!!!!!

Emily of Spokane, WA March 26, 2008

Emily of Spokane WA (03/26/08)
I just wanted to add a positive comment about New Millenium bank, as I have been a customer of theirs for four or five years now. I obtained a secured credit card from them in order to re-establish my credit, and it really has helped. I recall the instructions being clear about the processing fee, and the secured deposit required. I have had a couple of minor issues with them throughout the years but they have always been resolved, and the customer service people have never been rude.

My only real complaint is that they are fairly expensive. I now have an unsecured card with better terms and less fees than their card which was secured with my own money! Still, I feel it is worth it when you consider that I was approved for the unsecured card because of the credit history I was able to build with their card. So, I found them NOT to be devious or underhanded or anything like that, but a few things I didn't like are:

1.I found it odd that if I overpaid my bill, it reduced my available credit (for example, if I had a 300 limit and over paid by 5, my available credit was reduced to 295. When a 5 purchase was made, my available credit went back up to 300. Wierd. 2.When you make a payment to them, they hold it for seven days before the credit is available. This happens whether you pay by check, EFT, or ACH payment. 3.They send you information on how to increase your credit limit when you first receive your card, but if you misplace it then it's not very clear how to do it (different payment address, different customer service numbers, etc). Furthermore, the increase deposit payment can be easily applied as a regular payment (hence the knowledge of the overpayment issues listed in #1). They do require that you pay off and close your card before returning your secured funds to you, but again, this makes sense as the money is there to secure your line of credit and not there to be drawn against like in a checking account. Like any extension of credit, the balance must be paid. Once that is done they can close the account and then return the security deposit. I hope this information helps give a more balanced review of this company, and the services they provide.

They took 99.95 out of my checking, and I did not get anything!

I'm in the hole now, thanks!
