I signed up for an Applied Bank secured credit card because some places won't accept debit cards, for example, car rental agencies. I used my Applied Bank card to put a deposit down on the car, which I paid for with my ATM car upon my return. Hertz immediately took the "authorization for funds" off my car, and the money should have been returned to my account.
Apparently, no one told Applied Bank that they have to act like a credit card company. I explained to the customer service representative, then her supervisor, then his supervisor, who all explained that none of them have access to my account, and that I'd have to wait 14 days for my money to come back into my account.
I tried to explain to them that these are extraordinary circumstances for me because I have absolutley no access to any funds for the next 5 days other than what I still had on my card. That I couldn't get to work, nor could I purchase food unless they released the hold on my money which was already released and authorized by Hertz. They simply wished me luck not starving and in finding a new job.

I do not have an account with these people and they have been reporting this to experian for seven years.. March of 2002 until present.... I would like this item removed at once and paid for this because it is messing with my score..
This one item has caused my score to go down and down and down....
Flex of San Francisco, CA April 18, 2009
Flex of San Francisco CA (04/18/09) I receive 7 call from applied bank everyday. They never say anything when the call, if I answer, or leave a blank message. Ten minutes ago I spoke to one of their pathetic agents, he wouldn't tell me his name or why he was calling, and said he needed Nancy. I googled the number, 866-873-8592, and it belong to Applied Bank. I attempted to send them an email, through their website, but they don't accept email. I hate them! Would somebody please stop them!
Allen of Middleburg, FL April 10, 2009
Allen of Middleburg FL (04/10/09) I have been getting Phone calls from them for the past 8 Months. I have been waiting on them to send me something to the tune of a settlement offer But They Have sent me nothing. To day I get a phone call stating that they have sent me things in the mail None of which I have received. And they will not stop calling me. I refuse to answer any phone call unless it states clearly that it is about My debt. Not some confidential matter. I know that I owe them and I want to settle up But I can't if they dont tell me what they are wanting from Me.
If they read this They need to state clearly their business on My voicemail. I dont want some confidential Matter I want something straight up. I have one other credit card and I am settling up with them Now So if you want to see any money from me Actually send something in the mail I dont want any horsin around.
Michael of Port Clinton, OH April 9, 2009
Michael of Port Clinton OH (04/09/09) Charged overlimit fees because they add their maintenanc fee and finance charge to previous balance before deducting monthly payment. Checked account on internet 4/8/09 in the morning balance 1103.53 with 35 overlimit fee because credit limit is 1100. Checked again the same day and my balance was 1117.47 because they added the maintenance fee 10.95 for May I think.
Called and spent 45 minutes on the phone to very rude people. Sent letter via Fax the next day and then got on this website and read all the complaint. There has to be some way the government can step in and get this to stop. The bank is a big rip off and will continue cheating us. We need to stick together and keep harrassing them as they do us. They referred to me by my last name, not addressing me as Mr. which I thought was very rude and not very professional. Good luck to all and let's get them.
