Consumer Complaints & Reviews

I was ripped off for $6,000.00 dollars. It was a huge joke that Dino laughed all the way to the bank over. I ordered the piece, and when I got there, months after I was supposed to have gotten it, it was a ball of hair mess. I would not let them put it near me . They were having it done over, and when I went back to have it put on, it was not the right texture, color or length.

I started to realize what this company was about and set out to get a lawyer. The story is very long, but it ends because his contract is airtight. I lost my hair when my son was killed in the war, and Dino knew this. He ripped me off for a lot of money. It is nothing compared, of course, to losing my son. But this is what this man and his company is about. I don't want to see anyone else get taken by this man.

On 10/12/09 made a sequence purchase for $5000.00 for $100% European was not given this. Exchange cost me $1,300.00 per Ed ** wrong again another exchange cost me $700.00 per Dino ** another appointment schedule for fitting 8/27/10 wrong hair. All together was no my order at that time I asked Ed for a refund then I was told no refund.

I went to Sequence Inc. and purchased hair extensions that were supposed to last me up to two years. Not even a week afterputting them in my hair, that they damaged to the point where they were unable to be brushed. After going to get them taken out, I was promised that the extensions will be "soaked in vitamin C" and placed in my hair in a couple of days. A few days later, I called the company and they told me they were unable to fix the extension piece and they would order me a new one. I waited for months with no response.

I constantly tried to reach them and they told me that the manager "stepped out" or was on a "lunch break" and no one else was able to help me. In addition, they promised me that the new piece was ordered and only seven months later, I was informed that they weren't. After about seven months of being promised a product, I went to the court in New York and filed a claim.

However, the claim got dismissed because it was filed in NY instead of NJ. After recieving the complaint papers, the owner called me to have a meeting with him to discuss a new piece that they were supposed to order me. I spoke to the owner (Dino D) and he assured me that I would be order extention pieces and it would be available for pick-up in a matter of two months. It turned out that they never ordered me a the new pieces and when I found that out it was over a year of the purchase date and I was unable to sue them because in their contract it states that any dispute must be filed within one year. I paid over $2,000 and all I got in return was lies, stress, and came close to a nervous beakdown.

After having a series of intensive surgeries in november and december, I lost a lot of hair from the medications I was on. I saw an advertisement for sequence hair and I came in for a consultation. During the consultation, I was shown a hair product, that is inserted onto your hair, in the form of a net with hair attached to it. The net was very very thin, almost invisible. The hair was extremely soft and felt very real.

I was very concerned with the harm on my own hair that this product may cause. I was reassured vigorously that this is the most safest method available today for thicker fuller longer hair. They promised that they do not use glue, keratin, or any type of bonds that will stress my own hair out. They explained the method to me several times. I was very satisfied with what I saw and decided to go through with it. I signed a contract to have Chase Health Advance fund me the money for this service.

This was on friday evening on December 12, 2008. I saw my doctor on Monday, and he instructed me that I could not have this procedure done because it would cause my hair to fall out. Regardless of what the people at the consultation told me. I called that monday, the 15th of December to cancel it and Sequence told me that it was too late (that it exceeded the 24-hr cancellation policy).

I made many attempts after that to cancel it, but was ignored. They had told me that it was too late to cancel because the hair was already being made. This was a complete lie and scam, because at the presentation they had told me that the hair net takes over a month to make.

A month and a half later, I recieved a package to my house, it was the hair net. Not only was the hair net resembling a mop, it was the incorrect length, a horrible rough texture, and it was not as thick as I had told them I wanted. The hair was not at all what I was shown at the consultation, it was disgusting, the net was heavy and thick and it looked like a fake haired bad wig.

I researched the company online, and there was alot of complaints and fraud alerts about it. Many people reported that when they came to get the hair put in, they used glue and did not use the method that was promised. THis damaged many people's hair and left them near bald! I did not even go to the company to get it put in, because I lost alot of hair initially from my surgery and I could not risk going bald and having glue put on my scalp. This company is a rip off.

I called Sequence and they refused to refund my money. THeir contract is air tight and many people were ripped off by them. I contacted Chase Health advance many times and they repeatedly told me that there was nothing they could do on their part. That it was my own problem. Please help me! economic damage: $3600

After months of trying to get a refund for services unrendered. I was awarded the refund thru American Arbitration Assocation "Dispute Resolution Services Worldwide" and the company refused to refund my $4,405.00 in full. Sequence representative (Valerie Denny) stated that the owner Dino Dondiego and Manager AnnaMarie Cerretta said to take them to Court for my money.

On November 10 of last yeat, I drove to sequence after a consultation and paid a $500 as a down payment of $2700.00 for a hair process. After that I kept making partial payment until it reached a total of $1,300.00, I went back to them on December the 8th of 2001 to have the process done, unfortunately the hair texture that I saw, the color was not pleased to me I was promised by the hairstylist by the name of Lisa to come back in 8 weeks, but after I saw what they did to a friend of mine hwo had her hair done, and I didn't like te way it came out so I decided to stop the payment and asked for a full refund of my deposit. I was so fiberglasted to learn from Dino the president of the company that if anyone has to be given money it would be me because I had signed a contract, that was after several called that I made and finally he told me that. I worked too hard for my money I need help from you to get get my deposit back from them.

After a hair loss from a hair color my hair starting to be thinner, I needed more hair in my head. I happened to find out about "Sequence Hair" and called them, over the the phone I spoke a gentlemean by the name of Anthony, who happened to called me evreryday on the dot consecutively, until I finally set up an appointement with him. When I got there he was not there some other man by the name of Jonathan who received me and treated with kindness by explained to me I will be getting 100% humain and any color that I want and the cost will be $3000.00 and if I was ready like yesterday I will be saved a $250.00.

Okay everything seems to be legit, so I went home and mailed them a $500.00 check as a down payment. until I can get them the rest, they even tried to have me financed it but thanks to God I have problem with AT&T cell company therefore my credit is bad, after 4 to 5 months I finally called them I told Anthony that I been saving the money I think I have enough now. He sent a UPS truck by my house twice to get the money the whole $2000.00 and I would have to give him the other $250.00 at the end of the procedure. They had one of their secretary called me to set up an appointment and she asked will you be putting perm on you hair I said yes, and she replied well, you have to pay an extra $80.00 for the perm, when they never ever told me any such thing about that before, so I was well I don't need to pay extra money because I don't have it, I will be putting my perm myself.

When I got there I found out by the hairdresser by the name of Joann who told me it shouldn't be that it's included. I started to realized what I got myself into after I worked nightshif partime 20 to 22 hours a week to make that money and this the way they going to treat me, so I got there the hair was not the proper color the hair wasn't treated properly it looks like a horse tail, it was not washed and she told me I would have to come back to have it set, colored and reajusted.

Stupide me I agreed I went on December the 4th and I retuned back the 8th so I told them the hair is irrited my scalpe and they told me maybe it's just because it was not treat properly and we going to need time to do that for you, I believed them when they know dam well , they were just trying to played all along

and after I called and left messages repeatedly hoping they would take me serious they chose to ignored me completely because they allready got my $2,750. and they had going back in forth and I had to pay $1.40 for toll and putting milleage and gas in my car for what? I don't know. so after 3 trip over to sequence, I decided to speak to anthony and he was no where to be find and finally I called one last time he said: Amalia it is best that youcome over to sequence and have the hair remove and he was going to have a talk with Dino the president and owner and he was sorry and good luck to me, that was our last conversation.

And after I had the process removed saturday the 22nd of December, I left a note for one of the manager I met, she made a last plead to convinced me to come back again and I replied no I just want my mony back, and she told me think about it while the technician is removing the hair and I did replied there is no need for all that, it supposed to be the correct the first time and it was not, so no needs to tried after several attempted, I even wished a merry Christmas and tried not to draged this any further. I spent Christmas with my hair undone and today I've got the shocked of my life, Anne-marie the manager told over the phone it was a contract I needed to read it and it's arbitrary that is after I called her they didn't even bother calling me. So please, I am a student, and a mother of three, worked only part-time and $9.00 an hour. Thank you,
