Signed up for a free trial of Ivory White , received it on the 8th day after sign up, called next morning to cancel and they said ok canceled, noticed they charged me 78.41 in on my visa, called them and they informed me I only had 8 days to cancel from the time shipped, I explained it just came the night before, I called the next day, because it was the 9th day, they would not refund my money. I got very upset and they offered to only charge me 45.00 for 2 teethe whitening trays, told them this is still unaceptable, how can I try a product if I don't get it in the trial period. They then agreed to give me 60.00 back of my 78.41 + shipping to and back to them. I explained that is a start but not acceptable and I will do everything I can to stop them from scaming people like this. It does not take 8 days to get mail from CO to CA.

Stupidly, I clicked on one of those "free sample" buttons. I received a "free sample," then another -- at which point I cancelled online AND via phone. The company sent me an e-mail the day I cancelled, Aug. 3, saying (direct quote): Your account has been successfully cancelled.

Your confirmation number is -------.

You will not receive any future shipments or charges on your credit card.

You can keep the package that was sent to you on July 22, 2008.

We hope that you enjoy using Ivory White

They did, in fact, refund a charge of 78.41 -- and I did send the product (even the extra in the "free sample" mailing, for good measure) back as instructed, to the address the phone rep gave me, exactly as he told me to do it. Until today, other than the e-mail quoted, I did not receive any further communication or package from the company.

Now on my credit card bill, in addition to the refund just mentioned, there are TWO new charges. One is for $84.36; the other is for $19.60. I called their number again today and spoke to two separate representatives (one was named Stella). Both refused to refund either of these new charges, claiming that I had received an e-mail (I DID NOT RECEIVE IT) instructing me that if there were any damage to the returned package, I would be charged $19.60 -- and that I would be charged for one of the shipments EVEN THOUGH I RETURNED BOTH of them.

I did not receive such instructions. In fact, the man I spoke to back in early August assured me that I would be refunded the only charge I'd had to that time -- and he did not mention that there would be any further charge. He also did not warn me that I would have to ship back the product in a steel box to ensure no post office damage.

I have noticed many complaints against this company. I think they are engaged in trickery; in fact, when I said to Stella, "I never read any instructions about shipping or damage," she said, "Oh, yeah -- people don't read those agreements." Of course, in my case it was because I had never been sent such an agreement -- until today, when Stella made sure to send me some language about shipping damage.

Iris of Rock Island, IL April 3, 2008

I ordered a free trial offer that I was only to pay the shipping and handling. I canceled the order before I even got the shipment / order 03/01/08 canceled on 03/04/08. They sent it anyway. I sent it back the unused portion and they sill charged my mothers debit card that I made the order with the full price of the order. $78.41 / the charge for the shipping and handling was only to be $4.87 that was charged on 03/03/08 My e-mail was dated the 03/04/08 that they confirmed my cancelation I returnd the it with in 30 days of the day I got my shipment they got it on the 03/31/08. I have a confirmation from the post office the day they got it.

Now they are saying my free trial that was to cost only shipping and hanling is $78.41 and has taken it out of my mothers account with out having permission to do so. What can I do to report them and get my charges back. I have talked to their office including a sup and they sound like they plain on keeping my money even tho I canceled and sent it back
