Melissa of Houston writes (10/1/01):
Over one month ago, I ordered hair care products, the total of which amounted to over $35. I paid via check card over the Internet, and it posted a couple of days later. I still have not received my products, and the e-mails I have sent to the company have gone unanswered. There is a number listed on the site, but I get an error message when I dial it, telling me the number I dialed is no longer in service.

Robin of Avon, NY (9/6/01):
I placed an order via the intenet on 8/16/01 in the amount of $91.70 for hair supplies. The web site stated that delivery would be within 2-7 days. Today is 9/6/01 and I'm still waiting for delivery of my product. I received my credit card bill, and they have billed me for $91.70. There's no phone on their website to call. The phone number referenced on my credit card statement is not in service.

I can't seem to send an e-mail to them thru their "contact us' section. Everytime I try to send it, my system locks up and I have to reboot. I'm afraid I've been scamed in some way, but don't know what to do about it. How do I get this charge off my statement? And, who can I contact to find out if this is a real company of just a rip off? Help please

Theresa of Jersey City, NJ, writes (6/12/01):
On May 24, I purchased several hair care products (shampoo and conditioner) from an internet site www.hairmedic.com. The total amount of my products ordered was $71.65. As of today, (18 days later) I still have not received my products. There is no telephone number listed on the site, so I emailed this company twice asking what is the delay and have gotten no response.

On this site, it indicates fast delivery, 2-7 days, if item is in stock and not back-ordered. So I gave the benefit of the doubt, that maybe something is on back order, but find it hard to believe that all five items are back ordered, and why charge my credit card already if not in stock.

The company is required by law to notify custsomers if it cannot ship on time and to offer her a refund. Unhappy customer should notify their credit card company immediately and dispute the charge.
