Paul of Palm Desert, CA January 17, 2009 Paul of Palm Desert CA (01/17/09) Fearing that my breathing was becoming compromised I drove to the Emergency Room. I was immediately admitted and given a steroid and Benadryl drip. The doctor warned me that if they couldn't manage my breathing with a tube down my nose or mouth, that they'd have to cut access through my throat. Fortunately, after three hours, the drip managed the swelling. The E.R. staff warned me that I should have dialed 9-1-1 instead of trying to make it to the hospital - the reaction was that severe. I have NEVER been allergic to anything before. The doctors at the E.R. went through the whole checklist of what I'd eaten the night before (I am fitness oriented, so I had a complete list of foods) and said that the allergic reaction was almost certainly 100% due to the white strips. Mike of Hamilton, ON January 15, 2009 Mike of Hamilton ON (01/15/09) Last week, I brushed first thing in the morning, and once again, noticed the same residue. For whatever reason, it didn't click in that it might be the toothpaste. I ignored it. Later that night I brushed again (the tooth was really bothering me), and again, more residue. But this time, all of my teeth started aching. At that point it clicked that it might be the toothpaste. Also noticed I've lost 'taste' in my mouth. Everything just tastes bland, with a remote hint of flavor. Aspirin numbed the discomfort but it came back. After reviewing Consumer Affairs, I've since rinsed with warm salt water and have found that has helped, although I still don't really have the ability to taste anything. I've given it a week, hoping that whatever ill effects of whatever chemical is used in this toothpaste would naturally rid itself from my mouth. Although my teeth no longer hurt, a sore has cropped up where the side of your mouth joins to your gums. It's not dental related, it's topical.
This is just insane. This toothpaste should get pulled immediately! Roxana of Tempe, AZ January 13, 2009 Roxana of Tempe AZ (01/13/09) Susan of Brownsville, OR December 30, 2008 Susan of Brownsville OR (12/30/08) Toni of Auburn, WA December 29, 2008 Toni of Auburn WA (12/29/08) | |||
