On and off I have one tooth that has a sensitivity issue. I've always used Sensodyne with no ill effects. I happened to be out of that product, and since I used Crest Pro Health mouthwash, I thought I'd try the toothpaste. About a half hour after brushing, I noticed a film in my mouth. I got a kleenex, and rubbed it along the sides of my mouth. You know when you have a cold and cough up phlegm (my apologies - it's the only description that fits) - that's what it looked like. I had burned my mouth about a week ago, so I thought it was just skin from the burn. I refrained from brushing for about a week.

Last week, I brushed first thing in the morning, and once again, noticed the same residue. For whatever reason, it didn't click in that it might be the toothpaste. I ignored it. Later that night I brushed again (the tooth was really bothering me), and again, more residue. But this time, all of my teeth started aching. At that point it clicked that it might be the toothpaste. Also noticed I've lost 'taste' in my mouth. Everything just tastes bland, with a remote hint of flavor.

Aspirin numbed the discomfort but it came back. After reviewing Consumer Affairs, I've since rinsed with warm salt water and have found that has helped, although I still don't really have the ability to taste anything. I've given it a week, hoping that whatever ill effects of whatever chemical is used in this toothpaste would naturally rid itself from my mouth. Although my teeth no longer hurt, a sore has cropped up where the side of your mouth joins to your gums. It's not dental related, it's topical.

This is just insane. This toothpaste should get pulled immediately!

I have been using Crest Pro Health and my teeth are stained and one of my front teeth after brushing today has a small chip along with my back filling coming loose and breaking apart as I brushed. This is unbelievable! I have had perfect teeth all my life and it is like my enamel and dental work is being destroyed. I am greatly concerned and took a picture right away as this happened immediately after brushing today with Crest Pro Health Whitening. My beautiful smile is ruined and in need of repair.

Something in this product line is not safe with continued use. Prior to this I was using Colgate without any issue. My mouth is sore after several days of use not knowing the toxicity of this and my teeth extremely sensitive to anything that I eat hot or cold.I did not have this problem prior to using this product.

The consequences of using this product are that I will not have to incur significant dental bills that did not exist prior to use this product. This is unacceptable.

My mouth burned and raw spots started appearing on my tongue. I went to my doctor, my dentist, and then a specialist and no one seemed to know why my mouth was sore. I stopped using Crest Pro-Health and began using regular Crest toothpaste and my mouth is not hurting any more, and I expect the sores will soon heal. Rinsing with warm salt water has also helped.

Numerous trips to doctor and purchasing all kinds of medicine for my mouth were costly and did not help the situation. I suppose it cost me over 200.

I have been using Crest Pro Health Toothpaste Night for about eight to ten weeks. During the time that I have been using it, I have had cold sores aroung my mouth that look like they may leave scars. I have also had the worst canker sore inside my mouth that caused my teeth to hurt and my right cheek to swell. I discontinued the use of this toothpaste right after Christmas and my cold sores are now clearing up.

About 10 months ago I started experiencing a filmy, stringly coating on my tongue and mouth -- that was very prevalent in the morning. It was not aesthetically pleasing to say the least. So I would have to go through a whole process to rid my mouth of this before I would leave for work. I went to my doctor who put me on an anti-yeast medication called diflucan -- he put me on a 20 day course - when that didn't work = he gave me another 20 day supply. After that he sent me to an infectious disease doctor -- who put me through a battery of tests which came up with nothing.

After that I went to an eye, ears, nose and throat doctor -- who determined it was an infecton and put me on CIPRO for three weeks -- that didn't work. Then I was sent to a doctor that specializes in skin issues both external and internal -- I had a biopsy done -- with them cutting out some of my cheek. Anyway, no one found anything.

Approximately 9 months previously I had purchased the 4 box package of Crest Pro at Costco. As soon as I ran out of the Crest Pro -- within two days my mouth returned to normal. During my usage of the product -- I experienced blisters inside my mouth, periodic breathing problems with my throat swelling at times. It was truly a bummer. I had also asked my dentist during that time -- who said he didn't deal with that kind of problem.

The damage that resulted was literally thousands of dollars in medical care, prescriptions and tests besides the trauma of not knowing what was going on. My mouth was sore, tender and blistered during much of that time. I had to use an inhaler many times to be able to breath as well. All in all it was a totally unnecessary and traumatic experience.
