Copa Settles Federal Charges

Karen of Burtonsville, MD, writes:
I ordered Copa hair products in Feb or March of 1999. I received my order and tried the product. It did not do anything for my hair. I tried to call the company to cancel my future orders; it took approximately another month to reach them. The number I had was always busy.

I opened the second order to get another phone number which was not an 800 number. I spoke to someone to cancel my future orders. I was told to send back the opened or unopened products to receive my refund. I sent both packages back certified with return receipt so I would have proof I returned the products. I have a stamped signature that reads M Santana this was on 9-24-99. I have yet to receive my refund. I continuously call the number I have only to get a busy signal no matter what time of day or night.

Maureen of Yonkers, NY, writes:
I ordered their hair products back in June of this year. When I received their products at the end of July I returned it to them unused via Fedex on 8/6/99.

It has been over 3 months and I haven't received my credit of $39.90. I have tried calling them several times with the same response that they are going to expedite my refund immediately.

Heather of San Diego:
I ordered Copa, but then I heard bad things about the product. So I sent the product back unopened. I have tried to reach Copa to request a refund, but it seems the line is always busy. I spent $50.00, and it is frustrating as I feel I've been ripped off. I want my money back for a product I never used.

Sabrina of Cary, NC:
I ordered the Copa products in May of this year and decided to cancel the order the next day. I spoke with someone about canceling and was given a confirmation number and was assured the order would be canceled and my credit card not billed. I received the Copa products anyway and have tried a number of times to call the number and it's always busy. I want to send the products back but don't know if I will get my money back.
