Marc of Watervliet, NY October 21, 2007 Marc of Watervliet NY (10/21/07) I have been a faithful customer of EA and Madden NFL for many years and have never felt so moved to complain. The jump to the next gen systems was supposed to mark a wonderful new experience in football simulation but has fallen woefully short. I have dealt with the same problems that crop up in this title every year such as defensive backs with eyes in the backs of their heads and the ball being placed ON the first down marker but still being considered short. As sad as it is that these things happen every year, I am accustomed to them and accept them. However, the releases for the XBOX 360 and their 20 price tag increase, have become the scourge of the gaming world. The Madden Nation competitions would lead you to believe that the game is still the greatest thing since sliced bread, yet sliced bread may have caught back up and even passed Madden again. I have wasted countless hours of my life and frowned from the disappointment that each of the last three next gen Madden titles I have purchased have all been victimized by inexplicable game freezing. The freezes have been random, although seemingly near the end of a game thus eliminating all progress. I have just entered my second franchise season after having imported the NCAA 08 draft class for true simulation experience only to have the game fail to advance past the first week of preseason. There is no simulation possible and if I play through the games, the game freezes after two beeps while loading the post game screen. The game is now utterly useless as I am not interested in wasting more time on the lame superstar mode the developers insist on having.
