My son's iPod Nano stopped working 1 year and a week after I purchased it, meaning that the warranty expired. I looked at Apple's customer support website and couldn't even find a phone number, so I had to use their email system and was ultimately instructed to mail in the iPod to some address I was given on the site. I also had to give them my credit card number in advance so the iPod could be repaired (or so they could send me a refurbished one).

They have had my son's iPod for over a month. Whenever I check the status on-line it indicates replacement product pending. After 35 days of no information, I finally try to find a phone number to call to no avail and then sent an email regarding a status, only to have some person named Cameron telling me I need to send my iPod in first before they can replace it. They tell me this, despite the fact that their website indicates that they received my iPod on 1/12/09.

Who are these people and why is Apple's customer service so bad? I know its only 150 iPod and not a 3000 Mac, but my son loved it and I feel like I deserve the same level of service as other Apple customers. I was shocked to read on other sites that Apple is ranked very high for customer service. Based on my experience, I would say that their customer service is non-existent.

We bought an iPod Nano 4th Generation for my oldest son on his birthday. Two months after purchasing it, it stopped working. We were in the van driving to his hockey game at the time. He had been listening to it for about 15 minutes before it just stopped. I opened an incident ticket online with Apple and they sent me a Fedex package to pack the device in and send it to a local repair shop. The device was returned a week later with an AppleCare Service report that said, A diagnostic evaluation has determined the iPod has internal damage related to a liquid spill or contamination. I'll repeat, he was listening to it for 15 minutes before it just stopped! It's 2 months old!!

I spent 150 all in and between my wife and I have spent about 60 in downloaded music. You try to do the right thing by teaching your kids not to pirate music or stealing from the music industry but how do you justify them selling a faulty product and not standing behind it? I can tell you I'm seriously considering buying a 10 dollar mp3 player and downloading my music from a file sharing service. I can't understand their thinking here? I'll never buy music from their online store again. Would it have cost so much to replace a 2 month old nano?

I was gifted a iPod Nano 4th generation 8 gb (Nano). Within 3 months of receiving this Nano the lock/unlock feature stopped working. Apple replaced the item with another new Nano. Within three days that Nano started randomly restarting itself. That replacement was replaced and now the second replacement is turning on when you click the scroll wheel and the Nano is in the locked position. The only thing Apple can do for me is to continue to replace the Nano in the hopes that one will work.

I need to buy a new one. they do not repair or replace any parts for any cost at all. I am upset. I got a 150.00 item good for a few years and that is it. I dont think that is right can you help me out with this issue thank you

It never turned on or off properly. I thought it was the cover I put on it but when I took it off it still did not work. A few songs and it dies it never charged correctly
