ZPDI: Where's Congress? |
||||
|
I made several calls from a Holiday Inn in Indiana, using an Ameritech calling card. The calls were placed to Illinois during the week, near 12 noon, and were 3 min, 3 min, 9 min, and 11 min; the total bill for these calls was $58.97, inclusive of taxes, and the Universal Service Fund Charge. The calls were through carriers, U.S. Long Distance, and QWEST COMMS INC, but collected through ZPDI. After talking to Tammy she adjusted the charges to $.07 per minute, and indicated that this was a final adjudication of the charges. I therefore expect no further discussion of this, and a credit to appear on my Ameritech bill "within 1 or 2 billing cycles", (Tammy's words). However, having reviewed the complaints on this website, I feel it appropriate to register one more complaint through this medium, and further to my U.S. Senator and Congressman, to Ameritech (accomplice in this telecomm scheme), the FCC, and the Indiana and Texas Attorneys General. As stated so well by Carol B. in the opening remarks of this website discussion page. This is extortion. |
