Verizon is the billing agent for a company called ESBI which mysteriously began chagring me 14.95 for a voicemail service I didn't request. Verizon assumes no responsibility in resolving this but instead makes it the victim's task to resolve by calling ESBI's number which curiously is always busy. Since Verizon obviously earns a billing commission on such pracices, they should be responsible for verifying themselves that the service has been requested by their customer rather than simply passing the charge along without verification. Failing that, they should at least be empowered to pass along disputes themselves rather than adding insult to injury by making it their customer's task

Since the beginning of 2007 I am being billed 14.95 by Verizon, under Other Provider(s). I discovered the charge in November 2008. The name that appears next to the charge is ILD Teleservices. I called their 800 number and they said the charge is for Internet access. The problem is that Verizon has been my Internet provider for the past 5 years, and I have been paying them. I asked them to please cancel the charges. They readily agreed but only cancelled the current month's charges. They simply refuse to return my money for the past 20 months.

I complained to Verizon, but they said I have to resolve it with ILD Teleservices and ask them to pay me back. This is odd since I dont know ILD, have never asked to be charged by ILD, and have no reason to have any contact with ILD. The only entity that connects me to ILD is Verizon. Verizon seems to be in some sort of an arrangement with ILD, at least a billing arrangement, and so must reverse the charges.

I am out of more than 300, and neither ILD nor Verizon accept responsibility. My reason for complaining against Verizon is that they are the ones who have been billing me. And I have been paying them (unwittingly, and without checking). They were the vehicle through which money was swindled out of my family's pocket. They should not give me the run around, and should pay me back the money that I paid to them.

They constantly add services to my account w/out my authority. Their offices are closed after 6pm, which is horrible since most people get home after that time due to traffic. Once you call customer care, you get bounced around everywhere, since most of the customer care reps can't/don't help you.

I use Verizon's online bill pay, scheduled a payment a week before the due date of 11/09/08, received email confirming payment but then got next months statement a week later stateing that I was past due! Made several calls to customer service to find that my payment was received ontime but because their computers automatically print the statements on the 10th of every month my payment did not post to my account in time.I asked for paperwork to show that my payment was not late and that my account was up to date, but was told that was impossible.

I have a bill stateing that my payment wasn't received, online on my account page it also showed my account was past due! I just wanted something in writing showing that my payment was made and on time to offset what I had. I requested for a supervisor to call me in this matter but did not get that call. Called back a week later to find out when I was going to get that call and was told I wasn't going to get one because a supervisor would not waste their time to talk to me about what I have already been told, which was that they could not help me.

Besides the unwarranted stress that this has caused, I was denied an equity loan solely because of my current statement from my Verizon bill. And what stresses me out the most, is that I did nothing wrong and this is totally all their fault.

I switched my phone service from Verizon to Comcast on Sept 29th. I was a verizon cutomer for 7 years with the same plan which was about 42/month. Verizon sent me a bill for eighty some dollars for the period 10/4-11/3 prior to these dates occuring. I called them the first time and someone assured me this was a mistake and that I would get a small bill for a week prior to the switch. I got a second bill for 50 or 60 dollars.

My husband called Verizon and they said the issue was that the Verizon service was not cut off until Oct 14. So we had phone service from 2 providers for 2 weeks. This is interesting b/c I had no incoming calls for the first week I switched until Comcast came out again on Oct 9th. They told my husband that we would be sent a small bill for the time period that we were receiving phone service from 2 companies (comcast and verizon).

I received a bill today for 53. My original bills prior to the switch was 42. How is a partial bill more expensive then the original. Am I being charged for turning off service with Verizon? Interestingly enough I can't get an answer out of anyone at Verizon. They want me to pay the bill and then I will be credited money back. I just want someone to explain to me why this has happened.

A verizon rep told me today that Comcast was supposed to physically turn off my phone service with verizon while they were at my house connecting comcast. Comcast said this is not true. While switching my phone service I was connected to a third party automated system which was supoosed to take care of cancelling my service with Verizon. Comcast said this is the only thing that needs to be done to switch phone service. I can't believe that I may have to pay Verizon for a product that I don't feel I receieved. They have sent three different bills. They are not heplful in answering my questions regarding what the bill reflects. Today I was disconnected during a phone call and the person has yet to call me back. I could pay the bill to Verizon and be done with it but I feel like a victim here. Either Comcast didn't do a good job or Verizon is trying to take advantage of me.

Frank of Brooklyn, NY November 17, 2008

I call verizon office to sign me for home phone and Internet service and the person I spoke to is a female and she told me it will be 40+tax for the first 6months and thereafter it will be 75.00 every month. But to my surprise, the First Bill I received is &195.30. I called immediately, and the person I talk to is man and cause the hell out of me and said I must pay the bill. Then, I call again a female told me she was going to speak with man or supervisor.

Again,I call another day a female name Ms S,was the one this time who try to help me with the bill and to me she was going to follow up with the bill. Now,a letter of Final Disconnection Notice sent to me and a threat of sending my name to credit Reporting agencies was said in their letter. I WANT TO PAY MY BILL but it has to be what I negociated with the ZerZion company. I am sending this letter to you because my name is going to be sent to credit reporting agencies. HELP ME OUT PLEASE.
