I cancelled the internet service through Verizon in the Spring of this year 2008. I kept my land phone. They have been billing me ever since I cancelled for internet services anyway. I called and spoke to several representatives that assured me they would take it off the bill. They were upposed to send me a return envelope so I could return the internet equipment. Never received. I get passed from department to department everytime I call, and get disconnected which is aggravating when I am trying to resolve this from my work.

I now have a #481.02 bill for services I do not have. I only want my land phone for 26.91 a month. They are about to cut my land phone off because of the bill. They assure me they noted the computer of my calls. This is a waste of my company time.

Dears, I am quite disappointed by the kind of response you gave me, which does not fit at all with any of the concerns raised in my previous message. This attitude led me to have serious doubt about the need to continue dealing with your company. I am victim of undue billing practices (so-called additional services which include items I did not order).

I have been paying during several months for these undue items, the recent undue payments concerned the months of August, September, October, and November 2008. I repeat the request I made through my last message dated 11/30/08: 1-First, I want you to confirm the cancellation of the order of direct payment option given several months ago. When I took the decision for this option,I believed that each of us could play in a fair relationship framework; 2-I request a clarification of all the bills I have already paid during the course of 2008.

For that,I hope that you can introduce me to one of your representative in Maryland, who is able to help us move forward. The one, I had two days ago, recognize the abnormalities on the bill of November and refuse to do so for the previous months. Expecting a quick and fair settlement of these matters, which cause me a lot inconvenience, let me continue to believe in the pursuit of normal relationship between us. Otherwise, no doubt, we can envisage further steps, regardless of the undue amount withdrawn from my account.

A charge was place on my Verizon phone bill for some enhanced web browsing and enhanced voice mail and long distance. When I talk to a Verizon representive I was told the charge was from a third party service that they allowed to unlawfuly charge me over 27.00 for service that I did not order. Thank God my wife noticed it as soon as she did. It had only been two months at 27.00 for to different line items. The company's name as stated on my bill is ESBI. I had Vertizon to put a block on my service that would stop any future attemps to place false service charges on my account but i was told that I would have to deal with the company that Verizon allowed to scam me. When you call the number next to the charge on by verizon bill all I got was a run around from line to line and finally ended up with a recording to leave a message for a call back. Right!

Verizon is just as hard to nail down unless you are tryiong to discontinue you phone service sometimes. We as consumers and the the powers to be must find a way to deal with this and find a way to hold companies like Verizon responsible for helping in the usery that seems to be an every day event.I'm sure that Verizon gets their cut and might be invested in the companies that arte doing this. If Comsumer Affairs or any one out there knows of someone or a group of someones that has a way or is trying to put something together for protection from this kind of scam please let me know. Lets get the wird to companies like Verizon to watch out. Ther are other companies that would love to have loyal customers. I have had services with them this they started under their present name.

Mental fustration and a waste of a lot of my personal time. Of course I'm also out 52.80 for two mounts on a service I didn't ask for or didn't need or use. My time is already spent trying to make the money that I have to be to keep tabs on my so called honest phone company. So I'm saying that my time is being wasted and my mind is being played. I mentaly tired and feed up.

Sharon of Damascus, MD November 30, 2008

I lost TV, phone and internet service on the morning of 10/31/08. Verizon promised a tech would visit on 11/1/08 and gave me an 11 hour window! No tech visited during that time. I called Verizon and was given a 4 hour window on 11/2/08 during which a tech would visit. Not tech arrived on 11/2. I was then promised a tech on 11/3 but informed Verizon I had to work and no one would be avaialbe to allow a tech access to the home.

When I arrived home that evening there was a note on my door from a tech who had visited, saying the problem was fixed, but I still had no service. I was next given an appointment for 8 a.m. on 11/5. A tech did arrive sometime after 10 a.m. and restored service without gaining access to the home.

I had used a vacation day on 10/31 to stay home from work and tend to personal business on the Internet and by phone, but was unable to accomplish anything. I spent an entire Saturday and 1/2 a Sunday at home waiting for tech who was promised, but never dispatched. I incurred the expense of having to use my cell phone to contact Verizon, at times being left on hold for 15 minutes or more. I had to travel to the nearest library to access the Internet. Duress, hypertension, loss of sleep, headaches are among the physical damages I suffered.
