David of Glen Allen VA (12/16/08)
I have tried to cancel my service with Verizon cable, internet, and phone service for over two months. I contacted a service rep who took my cancellation order in mid- October, 2008. She said not to pay the current bill, a final bill would be sent later. One month later, a bill was sent to me saying our services were being discontinued for nonpayment. I gave them the order number for my cancellation, and suddenly they found the request.

Another bill followed before the current bill was due stating if payment was not received immediately, the account would be fowarded to a collection agency. I returned all equipment as instructed by Verizon. It was brought to a UPS store which was intructed to box up the equipment and send.

Today, I received a bill for unreturned equipment. All equipment was returned. Because of their return procedures, there is no way I can prove that all equipment was returned. Trying to find a representative who can effectively deal with these issues has proven to be impossible

Bills continue to be sent which are unwarranted. Hours are spent on the phone looking for resolutions. I am afraid our credit report will be effected

I have requested for a new phone line and internet service to my appartment. Since I immigrated to this country for about 4 months, I do not have any credit history. I was told by Verizon taht I have pay 40.00 and 55.00 in two payments and pay a service charge of 3.50 for each of this payment. I did. That was in November 24, 2008. Since then Verizon first scheduled to get me the connection on 12/4/08. I took time off from work to wait for them for 6 hours. One person came in but he said his computer says taht I ordered for internet only. I have shown him the letter from verison showin that I paid for internet and phone. He asked to to check back with verizon.

From the very beginning of this ordeal, I have made so may phone calls and so much time but all gone in the air. My experience with Verizon is that they are a group of most unprofessional, disoriented, careless and greedy group and do not know what they are doing. I was transfered from one person to another so many times and each time I was asked what they can do for me. I wish I would have recorded all the conversation and my problem. They scheduled another appointment on 12/9/08 but I was waiting for them taking time off from work but nobody show up. As of today, 12/10/08, I am now trying to recover my money from Verizon. So, Folks, Be careful about Verizon

My appartment does not have phone or internet connection foe over a month since I moved here. I lost two days of work since I am new and do not have vacation yet, doing odd job.Now I am wondering how I am going to get my money back. Since I am new here, I do not knoe the law and rules, I have to consult for everything I have to do. That costs time and money

While cancelling my long distance service, the customer service rep(s) informed me that they have been charging me for two phone lines in my house since 2002. I repeatedly said to many people that I never authorized or asked for a second phone number for my house. They said that it is apparent on my bill and it is my fault for not noticing. I have looked over each of the bills for this past year and it is NOT apparent or clear. This type of conduct falls into overcharging practice and issuing false statements.

They refuse to credit me the money. So they have overcharged me since 2002 24 a month for a line I never requested resulting in the company stealing about 2,000 from my family. This is really disturbing. Please help.

I cancelled the internet service through Verizon in the Spring of this year 2008. I kept my land phone. They have been billing me ever since I cancelled for internet services anyway. I called and spoke to several representatives that assured me they would take it off the bill. They were upposed to send me a return envelope so I could return the internet equipment. Never received. I get passed from department to department everytime I call, and get disconnected which is aggravating when I am trying to resolve this from my work.

I now have a #481.02 bill for services I do not have. I only want my land phone for 26.91 a month. They are about to cut my land phone off because of the bill. They assure me they noted the computer of my calls. This is a waste of my company time.

Dears, I am quite disappointed by the kind of response you gave me, which does not fit at all with any of the concerns raised in my previous message. This attitude led me to have serious doubt about the need to continue dealing with your company. I am victim of undue billing practices (so-called additional services which include items I did not order).

I have been paying during several months for these undue items, the recent undue payments concerned the months of August, September, October, and November 2008. I repeat the request I made through my last message dated 11/30/08: 1-First, I want you to confirm the cancellation of the order of direct payment option given several months ago. When I took the decision for this option,I believed that each of us could play in a fair relationship framework; 2-I request a clarification of all the bills I have already paid during the course of 2008.

For that,I hope that you can introduce me to one of your representative in Maryland, who is able to help us move forward. The one, I had two days ago, recognize the abnormalities on the bill of November and refuse to do so for the previous months. Expecting a quick and fair settlement of these matters, which cause me a lot inconvenience, let me continue to believe in the pursuit of normal relationship between us. Otherwise, no doubt, we can envisage further steps, regardless of the undue amount withdrawn from my account.
