ILD - Payphone Charges |
||||||
|
I work for a restaurant in the Atlanta area. When we received our September bill, I noticed that there was a charge for $1660.02 in the unregulated charge part of the phone bill. Upon reviewing the statement, there were 250 phone calls billed to our account. I called ILD and they informed me that they are a billing house and the phone calls were made from a payphone. The ILD rep said he could erase all calls under 3 minutes and give us 40% off the other calls. He then put me on hold and I was disconnected. The same afternoon I spoke to a lady about the same thing and she said that we were called every time a phone call was made to verify that we accept the charges. That was just not true because the 250 phone calls were almost 3 minutes apart and the hostess in the restaurant is not authorized to accept any collect calls. The managers at the restaurant would not have authorized the calls. I disputed the charges and she said she would credit our account for all the calls. On October 7 there were still no credits issued to our Bellsouth account. Damages: It has taken a lot of time to resolve the issue between ILD and Bellsouth. We still do not know if the problem has been taken cared. In the meantime, it has caused errors in our accounting system and showing "PAST DUE" in our regular phone bills. Report Your Experience
