Daniel of Reseda CA (07/24/08)
I disconnected my internet service with AT&T and was charged 7.78 for something I have no knowledge about. At&T told me to contact ILD, but was put on hold for over an hour. My home phone has been interrupted I can only call 911,888 and so on. I would also like to inform that T-MOBIL has engaged in this sort of activity also. I'm being billed 9.95 for ringtones I never ordered or received. thank you

My home security system relies on phone line to connect to the security center incase of burglars or emergency services.Like Police,Fire,Ambulance. I refused to pay for something I didn't order my home phone was interrupted.

My wife, Nancy, was in Rhode Island Hospital for surgery. Nancy made one collect call on June 25 to our home, which is a local call. The call was billed as 8:00 min exactly. A charge of 18.31 was made for the call. ILD Teleservices then charged 23.99 to my Verizon Account and added 1.20 State tax for a total charge of 25.19.

25.19 is an outrageous charge for a local 8 min. call. There was no indication of what the charges would be for an eight min. collect call. I do not want ANYONE to be able to add charges to my Verizon phone bill for any reason and would support legislation banning this predatory practice

I had a 14.95 charge show up on my telephone bill from this company. When I called them, they told me that the charge was from netwatchISP.com and that I would have to contact them for a refund. I ask them if they verified that claims were legitimate before they charged them, and was told, we don't have too.

Found a charge on my company bill for 49.95. Called the 800 number, spoke with a Karen who was a CSR. I found out this was a cold sales call. They had the name of one of our contracted sercurity guards as th authorizing agent. I am certain he didn't. I asked what the charge was for and was told it was for hardware and software telesupport services.

We have our own internal support services and would never order this, yet allow a contract employee authorize it. She told me I would get a credit. The company phone number that the charge was on our main company line. This number is already on the Do Not Call registry and I informed Karen of such. They chould not have called at all.

No harm other than the illegal charge.

I had been paying my AT&T bill by auto-pay and checked the details recently and discovered a 13.22 monthly charge for Enhanced Voice Mail. I am ashamed to admit that it had been on my bill since September 2006. I should have checked sooner, but I guess I trusted AT&T too much. I emailed AT&T asking what relationship they had with ILD and if AT&T profited from doing this illegal billing. If there is any lawsuits ongoing please let me know. If there is any information that contradicts AT&T assertion that they do not profit from ILD let me know. Below is a copy of my email correspondence with AT&T.

Thank you for contacting AT&T regarding account number.... I appreciate the opportunity to assist you online today. AT&T is not affiliated with this company and does not profit from them. AT&T simply prints the bill as a courtesy and service to our customers. ILD is not part of AT&T. Should you need further assistance or have other questions, please reply back to this e-mail and the AT&T Online Customer Care team will be happy to help you. Thank you for doing business with AT&T online. I hope I have provided you with outstanding service today. I would appreciate it if you would rate my handling of your request by completing a brief online survey.
