Deej of Dallas (5/30/04):
I purchased an Olympus c700 digital camera from UBID last week (auction item from UBIDs warehouse) that was advertised as 'refurbished' but that came without a smart media card ($24 to replace with the cheapest generic available anywhere); without the USB or AV cables (another $24); and without the batteries, owners manual or warranty that are all considered standard equipment with refurbished cameras. UBIDs response? "Tough luck!" I could have bought the whole thing brand new (with all Olympus accessories included) for less than it will cost me just to get minimal functionality out of this one.
