On 3/24/10, I bought the Canon 7D Starter package from this company. The price was exactly what I was ready to spend on my new camera; very low compared with other websites and stores. The price for this package was $1,169.98 + $30.00 of "rush" 3 business days delivery. Just before placing this order, I had another bad experience with customer service from SLRisland.com on 3/24/10. I cancelled my order with SLR Island and placed my new order with SupremeCamera on 3/24/10. I called the company on 3/25/10 to confirm my order and my 3 days shipment. Ely from customer service answered the phone.
He confirmed my order and told me that it cannot be shipped to my work address since my credit card payment for this order had a different listed address. I finally agreed on my new shipping address information. But after, I wanted to confirm for the day of my delivery. Since I paid additional $69.99 (3 days delivery), I was expecting my package to arrive on Monday 3/29/10. Ely advised me that he will "try to send it today" on 3/25/10, but he is not promising if he will have the time. He told me my package would be coming "maybe" on Wednesday, 3/31/10. I told him that I am paying additional $70.00 for "rush delivery" and by counting the "business days" from the date when my order was placed, I am expecting to receive my package on Monday 3/29/10. He told me, that nothing he could promise!
I asked to talk to a supervisor or the manager, and Ely told me that supervisor would not even want to talk to me! I was in shock after this statement! I asked him to cancel my order immediately! He started to give me very bad jokes in rude manner, like changing his voice! I was speechless and felt like I was verbally aggressed by someone! I was feeling sick all day from this incident! I would like legal services check on this company because of my experience went "overboard"! I was shaking and feeling sick all day! Somebody has to stop this!
