Sony Camera Registration

Consumer Complaints & Reviews

My Sony camera never did work right so I sent it back for repair. They sent it back to me but it was still doing the same thing. I put batteries in it and it would only take about 5 pictures and quit. It did the same thing when I got it back from your repair. I would not recommend any one to buy one. Help me out would you?

I have purchased a new Cybershot Digital Camera (DSC-TX7). Its looks and all are good, but the problems are that I am getting a backup of half hour only, its picture quality is worst, and the video quality is also very poor, even though it is full HD. I set the image size in maximum and the image looks good in camera, but when it is put in the laptop, it doesn't even show the quality of an ordinary mobile camera of 2mp. Its price is too high, but it doesn't show any quality corresponding to its price. Can you please resolve it?

I registered a product with Sony and even though thousands fail, no information is ever passed on. I will never buy another Sony product and will tell anyone I can how poor the customer service and response to know the issue was.

I cannot find the website to register my Sony dvd player, as noted on the blue paper enclosed in the box. Do you have a different website? Please advise Thank you.

followed directions to register the product i purchased but there is no such website as listed on the blue product registration instruction leaflet. I tried to register by logging on to the website they claim is theirs

Maile in rebates said forms were not filled out properly, then said missing barcode, then said offer expired..Then said never got requested items....

I purchased item expecting the rebate in a timely manner, after spending hours and weeks for the rebate they relented and issued the rebate..losing thousand of dollars in time and anguish!

I have just purchased a Sony DVD Player on November 19, 2008, and I cannot find the website given to register product and warranty. There is no site to do this! I need this information asap. This is very important for my purchase.

Also, I do not know how to contact Sony for hook-up and service.

Per instructions, I attempted to register my Sony DVD player. The card gave the following address for product registration: http://www.sony.com/productregistration. No such site exists.

Try to register my Blue Ray DVD player on line as instructed by Sony, but there is no site at the internet address.

I just spent 514.00 on a home theater system and iam trying to register it on line as instructed by paperwork recieved with product. It seems that sony is scaming the consumer by sending them to a web site that does not exist, it seems to me that a company as big as sony would be more of a repuable company and stop riping off the consumer with thier lies. I also have tried to find help with hooking up the system so it would work.

Spent a lot of money on something that i can not register or can get to function, not real happy with sony products. I will never buy anything that is connected to sony or the sony name.

tried to register a stereo AM-FM CD player with sony's web site and no such site exists.

Bought an AM/FM CD Clock Radio, Model #ICF-CD815, on 10/01/2008. Brochure packed with this device states that it should be registered [at website given]. However, as noted by others here, that site does not exist. One wonders if Sony wants its customers to register products at all. Thank you.

I have tried to register my Sony camera and there is no such website. There seems to be plenty of other people who also are complaining that there is no such website. Please forward or advise. Thank you

The camera viewing window is deteriorating and its been in a cushioned box, and only 5 months old thee is something wrong with the window quality.

I went to purchase an extended warranty from Sony and they of course use third party provider. It was not stated anywhere on the Limited Warranty Statement, Term & Conditions or their website, that a extended warranty has to be purchased with in the first 11 months of the purchase date. (or need to have 30 days remaining before the 1 year warranty expires) The policy is between Sony and its third party provider Service Net.

This information is nowhere to be found and it is between Sony and Service Net. The only way to find out is to actually call customer service to find out and most of them weren't aware of this as well. They also do the 2 and 3 year warranties, where the first year falls under the 1st year manufacturing warranty. Very deceptive practices.

I was ready to spend additional $350.00 and I am not unable to purchase an extended warranty that Sony will honor.

I have tried to regrister my Analog Pass-Through DVT Converter Box to now avail. Please help me. Thanks

Unable to register my Sony DVP-FX810 Portable CD/DVD player as per boxed registion info it said to go to SONY.COM/PRODUCTREGISTRATION No such adderss what going on I need toregister with in 30 days

My husband received a Sony Mini Hi Fi Component System for Father's Day, and I have been on the computer trying to register it, which is the website listed on the form that came with the hi fi, and I am having trouble getting the registration site. Please let me know what I should do to get this product registered. Thank you for your attention to my problem.

I bought a sony dvd player i went to there web site to register my product for the warranty an there is no place to register what a waste of time .

I bought a Sony Bravia TV form Walmart on 09/24/07. I decided to register it today. If there was a form I do not have it. Registering by the Web address given in the manual does not work for me, & there is not phone # given ANYWHERE to talk to a person. Possibly Walmart registered it for me as I remember it took a long time to check out.

Poor customer service like this is very fruatrating, I will survive, BUT there are other brands to choose from the nest time I buy anything electronic.

I am not sure why people are having such a difficult time registering. I just registered 3 Sony items using their website at this address: https://productregistration.sony.com/ Took me all of 3 minutes at the most as I had to look up my serial numbers. Hope this helps!!!

I attempted to register my SONY Cybershot Camera at the prescribed address: www.sony.com/productregistration with no luck! I attempted to speak with a SONY representative and that took forever. I still want to register my camera to ensure I recieve warrranty coverage.

I purchased a Sony cd/dvd player and find it impossible to register it following Sony instructions.

I previously purchased a Sony VIAO Laptop computer and to obtain the advertised rebate became a nightmare.

They may produce good equipment but their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered.

Went to register online as directed in new product information. Website www.sony.com/product registration does not work.

When you enter the code they request, it keeps telling you this is not a match.

I can't register my product because there is no spot on the site to do it.

I see I am one of many who bought a new sony cybershot digital camera. I also have tried to register on-line as requested by the information that came with my camera. The web-site will not let you get into the registration area and I would like to know how I am suppossed to register within the 30 days.

No damage as of yet, but if I cannote register my purchase how can I expect to have any concerns resolved?

I purchased a Sony MiniDV camcorder (handycam) and the only wat to register the product ( with the promuse of 15% discounts on accessories and music downloads) is at the sony site www.sony.com/Productregistration but the site does not exist. I paid over $500.00 for this product and I can't register it that would insure my use of the warrenty. As i see on your site there are about 25 complaints with the same problem that this website does not exist.

I am having problems with the product and cannot use it with my Mac computer the box said it was windows and mac compatible. When I opened the sealed box the only disc was for a windows set up. I went back to the retailer and they said I had to contact Sony if the CD was missing. By not having the disc / program for my computer it makes this purchase worthless to me.

Cannot get product registration web site online to register my new camera. What's going on and how do I get through to the company?

I purshed a soney video cassette recorder/dvd recorder #rdr-vx515 and went to register it on line at sony.com/productregistration and got youe web site in place ov sony.

I tried to register my camera online and was not able to, because of a invalid e-mail address -- www.sony.com/Productregistration.

When I bought the Sony Digital Camera DSC-H1 it says on a green enclosre to register by the net. When I tried to bring up the site the first time it couldn't be found. Then when I finally got it up the camera was not recogonize/found. I looked up on the product line and it is there. I am not happy at all about this. I hope this is not an indication of the service should I need it!

I can't register my camera for product registration online. It gives a web address (www.sony.com/productregistration) but there is no such location.

I bought the Sony DSC-H1 camera. In the box it states to go online to register the digital camera. However, there is no where to register the camera.

It states on the green card to go to www.sony.com/productregistration. There is no number to call. I paid good money for the camera and I can not get it registered. I have a camera I paid over $400 for and cannot get it registered. I have a 16 character registration code if only I had somewhere to enter it.
