J, of Sicklerville NJ (11/27/08)
My wife and I decided to purchase a camera for our daughter and son-in law. We placed a limit of 200 for the purchase and I set to work selecting a camera. On November 25th I placed an order for a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3K Digital Cameras, plus an extra battery and a memory card from Broadway camera all for under 200 and got an email confirmation. The next day I received a second email stating that they needed to speak with me to confirm the order, but I was busy outside and didnt call.

That evening I received a call from a representative of Broadway Camera, ostensibly to confirm the order, but actually to attempt to upgrade it. He tried to talk me into purchasing more memory and a better battery but I told him we were already at the 200 limit we had set for the gift. Then he dropped the BOMB. He told me the camera ordered was grey market and in addition to not having a US warrantee, the manual and the camera menus would be in Japanese.

I told him I considered his website advertising to be deceptive since it made no mention of this being a grey market camera. He responded that it was clearly stated in their online company policy that they offered grey market goods. I immediately cancelled the order. The good news was that I was able to purchase a DMC-TZ4K from Ritz camera for just under 200 and know them to be very reputable.

I pay on line at broadwayphoto.com using AMEX 3679.00 US for a camera Nikon D3 & received a confirmation number. The confirmation webpage, claims that they will send you immediately an email with the details, but never send me nothing at all. Then I write many times to their email of customer service at
