Patricia of Los Angeles CA (06/20/08)
I ordered online a Canon GL2. A rep called to confirm but told me that the camera was an empty case and I needed to order lenses. He was so not nice and I could tell he was not being honest so I cancelled the order. Hours later, after speaking with a friend, I reordered the Canon GL2 and the lens. Another rep called, Nate, to confirm and he then told me I needed another type of lens. So that was 3 different types of lens for one camera. I told Nate that I needed a camera with 3 CCD's because I film work that is broadcast on tv and it needed to have 3 CCD's. He told me to get the Canon HV30. He assured me that it had 3CCD's. So I agreed.

Well I get the camera and find out that it doesn't have 3CCD's. I called and complained and asked for a refund. I got called a liar and yelled at by Vinny, and Bobby about the camera. They never took responsibility for doing fraudulent business. After 3 tries I got an email for a refund. So I boxed up everything and asked for the return address. Bobby and Vinny gave me the wrong address. So the box took another 7 days to get back to me.

I called back to complain again and Vinny screamed at me again and called me ignorant and stupid. He gave me another address. Well the box got there on 6/6/08, V. Saideh signed for the box. I haven't heard anything back from them. I sent emails and they've come back saying the email is now invalid. They have their product back and still have my $1200.00.

I paid $1399.00 for the product, plus $20 for return shipping, plus another $29 for return shipping again. I'm a college student who was trying to get a camera for class and I've been hussled.

I was shopping for a projector (Mitsubishi HC1500) and found the one I wanted at Razzphoto for a good price. I placed the order on a Saturday night and thought all was good. I never got a real invoice or a receipt just an email that says I placed an order.

I then got an email on Monday morning saying I needed to call Ken. OK no problem; it was a high priced item. Ken told me the projector I ordered was wholesale? and did not come with a bulb and I would need to pay $199 more for the bulb. Still even with the bulb it was not a bad price especially if Ken was telling the truth that it is a retail bulb. Ken then offered express 2-3 day shipping for $19, why not sure.

After I got off the phone with Ken I looked around for reviews about Razzphoto (as I should have before I ordered!) and decided to cancel the order, seemed to not be a problem, until I was billed for it the next day.

I emailed Ken and there customer support and never got a response. I customer support the next day and was transferred to Ken who told me it had shipped that day and asked why I wanted to cancel the order anyway. Since I thought the ordered was canceled I bought some stuff and after I was charged for the projector they put me over my limit so I have several charges for that They refuse to do anything about the error and told me if I wanted to return the projector I would have to pay $200. I am working with my bank to get this resolved.

On 3/20/08 I ordered a Sony T200 camera advertised in Bestpricecameras.com. Three days later I received an email stating that this supplier was out of stock and canceled my order. So, after I provided all my personal information name, address, credit card number (including the 3 numbers on the back of the card) this company says there is no stock of the product?

I assume that the product and price advertised are bait to get people's information or, at least to force us to spend time browsing around their internet site. I do not believe that an Internet site does not keep an accurate track of its stock.

Brian of Six Lakes MI (01/29/08)
I had ordered a Nikon D80 from Best Price Camera that I had found at shopping cart.com. They had the best price. In hind sight I decided to research the company AFTER I had placed my order and given my credit card number, and low and behold I found out they were rip offs--bottom feeders, to be exact. I called them to inquire about my order; Lou answered (if that's his real name), then he said, "Hang on" and started yelling at his wife or girl friend or who ever. He said I have your camera right here in my hand ready to send. Then he said, "So do you want the 3 hour or 5 hour battery with this?" at which time I said that I wanted to cancel my order; he yelled, "Fine, it's canceled!" I immediately canceled my card and ordered a new card with a new number. This sorry excuse for an online camera store is nothing but a scam to rip off unsuspecting people. Do not deal with this so called company!

Monica of Bridgewater MA (01/17/08)
I ordered a Nikon D40X, package 3, online in late October 2007. The day after the order I received a call at home asking that I call them about my order. I sent them an email asking if they could contact me via email as I worked late and it was hard to use the phone. They sent me an email asking me to call them. I called and spoke to Ralph, he told me I needed a different battery, filters, etc. to really get full use out of the camera. I explained I did not want to spend that much and it was a present. He suggested me buying the D40 and I told him, no that I wanted the D40X. We agreed to a price that was much higher than their website and when I got the camera, they sent me the basic lens, not the higher end lens and sent me the D40 but billed me for the D40X. I tried calling them and emailing them, left messages and no one got back to me. I asked them to send me what I ordered and what they billed me for and no response. I then filed a dispute with my credit card company and ultimately was credited as they would not communicate with my credit card company either.

I was charged $819.98 for a product that they did not send me. An inordinate amount of time was spent on the phone and writing, submitting documentation to my credit card company, etc.. It caused a great amount of anxiety for me and because this transaction was held up over the holidays, I had to spend more than I planned for the person who was supposed to get the camera.

Carolyn of New Rochelle NY (12/25/07)
I went to their website to buy a Canon Rebel XTI camera and lens. Their website showed a very low price for this camera. Some one called me to confirm the order. He then proceeded to offer me better (which actually were not) lenses for an additional amount of money. The camera package with additions went from an advertised price of about $1000 to a cost of $2728.50. I received a gray market camera with no warranty in the USA, inferior lenses, inferior memory card, and items that were different from the ones I ordered. I asked about returning the entire package and they told me I would have to pay a restocking charge of 40%. I told them that they advertised only 10%. They wanted me to return the package before they would give me credit. I did not return it since I figured that at this point they would not credit my card. I told my credit card company all that happened. They said they would give me a temporary credit.

Yesterday I received a letter stating that the merchant will not honor their request for credit based on the information I provided. It cost me $2700 plus an additional approximately $400 from other sources, for a gray market camera and lenses that are inferior to the camera and lenses that I was supposed to receive. I spoke with CitiCards, and they said there was nothing more that they could do. The only thing I could do was to contact the merchant, which is what I tried to do originally. I am willing to return the camera to the merchant for a full refund to my credit card. I will purchase it from a reputable dealer. This company has pages of complaints on the internet with similar happenings. They should be put out of business along with all their other companies. They are still scamming and cheating people.

Melissa of El Paso TX (08/29/07)
I ordered a camera package on the website and a day later, it turns out and according to customer service: The camera ordered was an over seas model so the total was incorrect and will add an additional $100 to the order plus some other BS about how the package did not include certain things that ARE MENTIONED ON THE WEB!

The customer service rep. also said that I couldn't cancel the order because of whatever reason! The camera had not shipped and the order was not even complete! This company is trying to pull a fast one! It seems to me that there is a chain of these type of businesses around. BE AWARE!!!!

I will have to buy a camera from a local retailer at a higher price to have it for this labor day weekend on our trip to Disneyland!!

Andrei of Wheeling IL (08/23/07)
I had experience identical to George of Puyallup, WA (07/26/07) and Everett of Ofallon MO (04/06/07). God Bless shrewd people of Brooklyn, NY and their business models.

duped for $229, and huge time waste.

Derek of Revere MA (10/30/06)
Ordered panasonic pv-gs500 camcorder. Then i was told by them that it didn't include the battery. So I ordered the upgrade packagethat included a battery and other acssories. At this point I thought everything was all set. Then I got a phone message from them to confirm my order. At this point the person I said that the battery charger nor the software to run the camera was included and this package would cost me an additional $250.00. I told him to cancel the order.

Now a camera that was advertised by them to be $449.00 is up over $769.00. These guys are scammers. The camera they offer is totally unusable the way they are selling it. These people should not be allowed to do business. I found them on froogle.com. froogle should do something about this.

Jim of Colorado Springs CO (10/19/06)

After ordering the camcorder Sony DCR-SR100, we called to ask when it would get here. They said that it is only a 5 gig drive instead of 30 gig. They wanted $200 more for the 30 gig. This model was advertised as a 30 gig, Sony only makes a 30 gig. We cancelled the order and found they had multiple consumer complaints.  This has been very stressful and time consuming.

Paul  of Brooklyn NY (09/12/06)

Ordered a Nikon D2Xs Pro Digital SLR camera (retail about $4500) from their online store yesterday 9/11/06 for $2600, (btw, today 9/12/06 it is on sale for $2000). Called to find out what is going on with my order only to find out that I was charged $4485 for the camera and explained by the customer service that the shipping (free ground shipping on their site) + insurance + camera come to that amount.

Betsy of Gaithersburg MD (09/05/06)
They advertise a camera at $519. When I called to place the order, Mike told me that I had to buy the accessories or the camera wouldn't work. I told him that I just needed the camera and I could purchase a charger at a local electronics store. He then told me that I had to buy the $999.00 package or he will not sell me the camera.

I was shocked and asked to speak to his supervisor. He told me he was the supervisor and that no one else could help me. I then asked him what would happen if I order through the website? He responded that the company would cancel the order and call you to let you know that you must purchase the full camera package. He then asked if I was going to place the order or not. I hung up and ordered from another website that was a little more expense, but actually sold me the camera I wanted.

Terry of Kent WA (09/03/06)

I received the camera and accessories all in one small box. I knew I was in trouble. Sure enough all I got was the camera, one of two lenses, one of five filters, no digital viewer, no card reader, no camera case, no tripod, no one year warranty card from the manufacturer which by the way is some proof this item isn't a gray market or used camera according to the sales reps at Canon USA.

I have to argue with some guy named Jason who finally gets another guy to tag team me. It's Frank who doesn't answer my phone calls for the past couple of weeks. I check into the New York Better Business Bureau rap sheet on this company. The more research the more I learn that I'm by no means the first nor will I be the last that gets treatment from this company or the others like them that seem to thrive in Brooklyn, New York.

The original purchase price for the Canon 30D and package #14 was 1849.00 but with the over priced accessories, the total came to 2750.00.

Kenneth of Cedar Grove NJ (09/01/06)
Saw ad for Nikon D200 Camera, USA Warranty for $1039 offering free shipping.  Also a special offer of free 512mb pen drive.  Received order confirmation. Received a call from Ken at Best Price Camera's telling me the $1039 price did not include battery, charger, firmware and the camera would not work unless i purchased everything and brought the price up to $1486.  I said I would take the camera minus the accessories for the original price. I was then told I had to buy the retail version for the $1486 price or not get anything.

Anthony of Chicago IL (06/12/06)
After 2weeks of no information (no confirmation product list or prices) I see on my credit card statement that they have charged me 238.00 additional. I call to get a product list; Nothing happens, I email again nothing happens, I wait on the phone over 45 minutes to talk to a rep and cancel my order, they tell me that I can't cancel it has shipped this morning. Their web site says no returns without a 'return authorization #' and when I ask for that number they refuse to give it to me.

Julie of Berkeley CA (06/09/06)
I ordered a camera over the internet from Best Price Cameras. The next day I received a call offering me a number of upgrades, and I foolishly agreed to a package that totaled $2723.94. When the camera and accessories arrived, the package was not what I agreed to over the phone, and the cost was actually $2863.94. I returned the entire package immediately.

An amount of only $2151.91 was credited to my charge account. I have sent them letters and spoken with their customer service representative on the telephone and have been unable to get a satisfactory explanation of the discrepancy. The representative refused to provide me with a written explanation of their charges.

Henry of Baltimore MD (01/18/06)
Called company to initiate the purchase of a Canon 20D digital SLR camera. Salesman was very evasive in providing me details on the warranty of the camera. The website clearly indicates that they are selling US product when in fact the prices being reflected are for grey market product with no U.S. warranty. The saleperson then attempted to sell me an extended warranty which he said was 229.00 and would be for 4 years. That's 229X4 not 229 for 4 as he had eluded to. Then when I refused he switch tactics to another package that included a professional tripod, pro case, 1 gig high speed memory card etc.

What arrived, though U.S. product was a case that wouldn't fit the items purchased and cheap beyond your wildest expectations, a tripod so flimsy that I wouldn't mount a point and shoot on it and one 512 generic memory card instead of the 1 gig high speed card as indicated. This organization is staffed with the best used car salesman on the planet. They're fast talking, vague, and will make every attempt to distract you from the details of your purchase.

After numerous phone calls and no replies to any of my email I was told that they would send me another generic 512 memory card to equal the 1 gig as indicated in the sales receipt. No response was ever supplied to my questions regarding their use of highspeed for generic cheap memory or the use of professional for a tripod and case I couldn't, let alone wouldn't use. I would think twice about spending a dime with an organization who spends its time designing sales presentations specifically designed to deceive and mislead the consumer.
