Washington KY (09/27/07) Robert of Mckinney, TX July 29, 2007 Robert of Mckinney, TX (07/29/07) When I tried to cancel on 6/30/07, they informed me on 2 separate calls that they no longer offer that guarantee, and that I would be billed 240 if I cancel! I sent a copy of the contract to the address on the contract, along with a letter explaining what happened, and it was returned to me undeliverable 2 weeks later. Keith of Orange, CA May 13, 2007 Keith of Orange CA (05/13/07) I had them install Dish Network back about a month ago (maybe a little longer). The technician was told that because I lived in an apartment complex, he could not mount the antenna to any walls or drill holes through anything. They set up the antenna at my back patio. At the time of the installation, to get a better deal on a monthly basis, they had me sign an 18 month committal agreement. That night I kept getting error messages about the satellite not being found. I called and complained about it and told them I did not want the service and wanted to cancel. The customer service person I spoke with told me he would give me a free month if I continued to try the service and allowed them to send out a technician. The technician came out to adjust the antenna because of the poor signal. He seemed to get it aligned fairly well and it worked for another day. About a day after he came out, we had a major wind storm that knocked the antenna over. So I called and told them I didn’t want the service and I was going to go back to cable. This time they said I would owe nothing, but they charged my card 140 dollars.
