Bait and switch, I met in person with Natalie Klawiter the account manager with yellowpages.com. Natalie presented a mini lap top and provided me with a 2,500.00 contract, she introduced a 6,000.00 plus quote to which I was very uneasy with however, Natalie explained the nationwide campaign would work better for my business. She encouraged me with services I was not secure about obtaining. Account manager, Natalie had me sign, a e-contract and never presented me with a complete contract for my viewing, she complained about her PC not working properly and she would get me what I needed.

Needless to say, I found myself with this enormous bill, incomplete internet listing which did not measure to quality I was told would be given. She listed business in a unrelated field, all calls that came in were for persons looking for a dermatologist and not looking to purchase skin care product. In all, I'm currently faced with a 12 month contract for services I did not agree to, and yellowpages.com has failed to make any changes 1. To the ad listing 2. For the over charge to my account 3. Broken Lines of Communication for services to cancel or continue.

I have been a loyal customer to yellowpages.com with a separate business for more than 3 years up until this point. I've been violated by the misrepresentation and dishonesty of this company, and since I've had to cancel any charges paid to yellowpages.com on my American Express Credit Card.

Financial Hardship

One of my employees received a phone call from the Yellow Pages. They asked specific questions regarding current address, phone number etc. She advised the info they had was correct but she was not authorized to make any advertising decisions. We later received a bill for renewal and have had ALOT of phone calls requesting payment. They have been rude and obnoxious.

Harassing phone calls and threats of being sued. I was contacted by a Mr. J.Brown from EB (?) with a case # and return phone #. He said he was from the legal department representing the Yellow Pages.

I received a mailer from US-Yellow pages back in March of 2006. It stated that they would update my listing in their directory, all I needed to do was sign the mailer and send it back. No where did it say I would be obligated to pay for this listing. Following that I started receiving invoices from them every so often and I would simply throw them away.

I never ordered their service, they contacted me and I assumed if I didn't pay the invoice they would just take me off their directory and that would be the end. However, I opened a letter from them today and it was an invoice for 1,782. On the back of the invoice is a copy of my signature. When I saw my signature I realized something was wrong. This company is a bunch of scam artists.

Stating that I owe them 1782.00 for listing my business name for the past 3 years. I never ordered this service. I only authorized them to list my name in their free directory.

Florida of Largo, FL March 10, 2009

I received a call from Revenue Assurance Partners in Louisana, a collection agency (nasty at that) and they say I owe 298.00 for yellow page advertising. I said no, I pay it monthly and they said no this is the internet site. I had sent in a check to them in 2007 and I went back to see and low and behold I had. I save everything so I found the invoice. I had paid this because it looks just like the real invoice so my assistant at the time assumed it was it.

So I call them back and say no I made a mistake in 2007 I don't want it. They said I have a contract for 3 years. Now talk about deceptive practice, I happen to talk to the neighbor in our complex and she just happend to have a copy of their solicitation letter. It looks just like the bill and no where on the envelope does it say Solicatation only inside and it says Annual Internet Yellow Page USA listing for 2008-2009 directory. Total 12 months.

OK my 12 month in 2007 were up and I paid. Now turn the paper over and it says You may cancel this 3 year contract without any penalty or obligation within 3 years and receive a full refund if you have a doctor's order you cannot physically receive the service. Do you believe that. You can cancel if you have a doctor's note. Boy if this isn't a scam I don't know what is.

Don't know yet if my credit have been violated, we'll see, but these nasty collection people need to stop calling because I am not going to pay this bogas bill.

On July 10, 2008 I was contacted by phone to advertise my business online with SuperPages.com. I was told paperwork would come by mail for me to review and if necessary I could cancel. On July 23, 2008 I received the paperwork. On August 8 I called to cancel, but was told it has to be done in writing within 14 days from the date of application. The date of application was July 10 and I received the approval paperwork on July 23.

I cancelled in writing by fax as requested on August 8, 2008 within 14 days of receipt of the paperwork. On August 20, 2008 I received a phone message from an employee named Norman at 800-555-4833 ext 4858. He stated he was in receipt of my cancellation and needed my account number to close the account. I returned his call and provided the number. I assumed the account had been closed. On October 9, 2008 I received a letter from ER Solutions, a collections company stating my account was past due 527.58.

I called and told them what happened they said they would mark the file under dispute. Then on November 14 I received another letter from the same agency saying I now owed &707.42 and it was still under dispute. On January 31, 2009 I received a letter from a different collections company Pinnacle Financial Group stating the amount is 1261.46. I cancelled in writing. I received acknowledgment by phone that the account would be closed.
