Seasonal Promotions
Las Vegas

Jeremy of Las Vegas writes:
I am a producer in Las Vegas.I produce movies for the video market.I also have been producing haunted houses for 10 years. On 8/17/98 I was hired by Gary of Seasonal Promotions to produce a haunted house called the Heartstopper.

I agreed to let him lease (props, costumes, masks, lighting, and sound).I was also hiring crew and actors for the house.I rented the props from Oct.9 - Nov.2 1998 for the sum of $1,500.00. They paid for the rental for the dates. On Nov.2 the props, costumes, etc. were to be given back to me.

Gary said that he had lost a lot of money and that he was not giving my props back. In Oct.1999 the Haunted House and the props were on location for a second year to make him money.I spoke to him about the props; he said that this year was different from last year and that his friend was in charge.

On Oct.21,1999 my lawyer gave me a demand letter to give him.I gave him the letter and coppies to his mother and brother. There was no call to discuss the matter.Gary still owes me wages that were due -- $5,000.00 -- and he owes the prop maker $1,200.00.

I lost a lot of money from not having the props to rent out to movies and damaged my haunted house business that I had for 10 years. My lossese come to more than $50,000.

Jeremy needs to get his lawyer to do more than write a letter.
