Larry of Rutherford, TN, writes:I bought a 1999 300M for my wife's wedding anniversary. We drove it for 10 months and never had any idea of problems. But, one Wednesday evening when my wife returned from church, she said there was a problem with the car. I went out to check it out and found out that it was stuck in second gear. I called my dealer and they towed it to their shop to fix it. Yeah right!! Well, after one month of in the shop, they could not find the problem. They even called the regional manager to come in to see if he could find the problem. He could not. My wife and I decided to pursue the lemon law. The service manager at Wilson said this was a good idea. To make a short story longer, my wife and I went through 3 weeks of hell trying to get something done to get another 300M. Now, the car has 12,500 miles on it, it has a 3 year 60,000 mile warranty, and most importantly the car is paid off. We owe nothing on it. Chrysler told us we would owe $3000 to get another car. What? You mean to tell me that after driving the 1999 Motor Trend Car of the Year only 10 months, it breaks down, then you want me to pay to get another car. Does Chrysler not back their cars up? I guess not. |
