Mechanic stripped threads out of oil pan during an oil change and got oil allover frivers seat and interior. Complaint to walmart was reject and was told it was my fault. No payment for repairs or apology for damages

I got a regular oil change service from the Walmart Tire and Lube express at Sayre. A few days later I started smelling some fumes in my car, especially when I switched on the fan or Airconditioning. I did not have the time to take it to a mechanic at that time. A few days later, the check-engine light went on. Now, I knew for sure something was wrong, so I brought it in to a mechanic in Pittsburgh. The mechanic told me after a checkup that whoever had done the oil-change had not screwed back the oil cap on properly. As a result, the engine oil had sputtered ... there was no engine oil and the sputtering had soaked the oxygen sensor which had damaged it. It cost me 605 dollars to repair.

The next time I went to the walmart tire and lube express, I complained against their negligence. First thing, the management there went into a tizzy, they had several closed meetings, and then they came back and told me that they had sent it to the insurance department, and I would be contacted. So, the next monday I got a call from the insurance agent. He was rude and looking for ways to deny my claim. I hope the fool rots in hell.

First he said that why didnt I contact walmart in the first place when I came to know the damage. I explained to him, that in order to see what the damage was, I had to bring it in to a mechanic. And then, I would have to drive to Sayre to show it to the Walmart people, so I had no option but to get it repaired. What do these people think, that we are sitting free the whole day just so that we can keep calling walmart, waiting for them to repair the damage they caused. Then he pulled out his trump card ... the oxygen sensor is a wearable part, so it could have been damaged on its own. And that I cannot give evidence that someone had not been under the hood of my car since Walmart finished its repairs.

How does one give any such evidence ? Even if I had gone the next day, instead of a month (which is the time it took for the problem to surface completely and for me to take it back to Walmart), they could have still said that they have no evidence that someone had not been under the hood since then. Preposterous. A month is a short time in the lifetime of a car and I do not open the the hood of my car to tinkle with stuff, like most other sensible people.

The fool denied my claim. Like all such people (may they all rot in hell), he had been trained in the art of aggravating, by continously and periodically shouting, will you let me finish, SIR... an age-old tactic.

The cost to me was 605 dollars at the repair shop. My car has never given me any trouble in the engine oil department before. I was also agonized by the treatment of the complaint by walmart ... of course, the negligent employee must be smirking. The whole system sucks.
