Gloria of Brush Prairie, WA January 10, 2009 I purchased a new KIA Sorento December 19, 2008. On Tuesday, Jan 6, 2009 I got into my car and found standing water in the cab and a damp drivers seat. I called Hannah KIA to let them know, they told me to call the service department to have it looked at. I spoke with Heather and explained what the problem is and that I had intended to call anyway because I realized there is no antena, she scheduled an appointment for Friday Jan 9th. I said thats a long time to let all of this water sit in the car can you get me in any sooner. Heather said can you be here by 1:00? I told her I would check with my supervisor and call her back to verify. I called back within 5 minutes and spoke with Annette as Heather had already left for lunch. Annette said okay we'll see you at 1:00. When I arrived at Hannah KIA service center, after waiting 20 minutes I stopped the girl when she began helping a man that had just walked in and needed new tires. I said that I need to drop my car off to be serviced. The girl checked my car in but, another person named Jessica said there is no spot for me until Friday. I explained to Jessica that I left work after speaking with Heather and then Annette. Jessica said, sorry nothing I can do. I left and returned to work. I then called the service manager that night, Thinh and he said to bring the car in Thurdsay evening after 5 PM. I left the car at the service center thursday eve. and was charged 50.00 for the rental car. Today, Friday Jan 9th I arrived to pick up my car and found and old antena partially screwed into the mount, the cab still wet, there was still condensation on the inside of the windows, cold air now comes throught the door handle, the wet towel that was soaking up the water in the cab was thrown on the back FABRIC seat, there was additional milage on the car and they used my gas. This is a 2008 KIA Sorento, it had 320 miles when I bought it and now at 755. In addition, at the time of negotiations the sales person (Curt) promised a clear bra, security system with the vin # etched in the windows, and a sirrus (?) naviation system. BUT after signing and then asking how I will obtain installation of the extras? Curt said, no those items were only included with the first offer. I reported this to KIA Consumer Advocates. Chris of Washougal, WA November 12, 2007 My wife and I were exploring options to trade in our Jeep Cherokee for a minivan that fit our budget and expanding family needs. We spent 5 1/2 hours at Dick Hannah Kia last Saturday, November 3rd, 2007, working to find a deal on a Kia Sedona that would fit our needs. We made it very clear to them many times that if our numbers (payment, APR, etc) could not be met, then that was ok and we would look elsewhere. After nearly leaving several times, the Salesmen (including a manager named John, and our sales rep, Milton) compelled us to stay, assuring us that they could make the purchase work for us. A deal was finally reached, and even when we offered to contact our own credit union, who we are in good standing with and have much business with, for the financing, Dick Hannah Kia told us not to, because they would make sure we got the rate we needed for our budget. We signed all the paperwork, and left with our new van, which we were very happy with. During the week, we were contact by the financing dept. asking for a document verifying the completion of an old debt payment be faxed to them as part of the approval process. We did so, and heard nothing from them again until yesterday, Sunday, November 11th, when the finance rep called to tell us that they were, in fact, not able to offer us the deal we agreed upon, that our finance rate would be 8.25% instead of the contracted 5.99%, and that we would have to put down a substantial down payment, when we were promised no down except our tradeded-in Jeep. We were told last night (Sunday) that we would have to return the new van and take back our Jeep. At no point in the process was the chance that the deal could fall through represented to us. Furthermore, the lack of communication precluded us from getting the financing done through our own credit union, which would have enabled us to keep our new van. Because we were contacted 8 days later, on a the Sunday of a Holiday weekend, we had no choice but to return the van and retrieve our Jeep from the dishonest, unaccountable Dick Hannah Kia. We went from a young family just investigating possibilities, to a young family in a new van that they loved that fit their budget, to a young family ticked off and lied to because they were promised something, and more than a week later, were ridiculously disappointed. This may not be illegal, but it certainly isn't right. Report Your Experience
