Patrick of Tualatin OR (10/29/03):
I negotiated a deal with Lithia Toyota of Springfield OR on Monday, 10/27/03, signed the paperwork for a 2004 Toyota Prius with a specific VIN. They were trading another car dealer for the vehicle that they just sold me and the vehicle was to arrive the following day (10/28). They would deliver the car to me in the afternoon of the 28th.

Instead, I received a phone call stating that they had sold the car out from underneath me and that I wouldn't be getting the car. They sent a driver to return my trade-in to me and took the loaner car back from me on the night of the 28th. They sent deal recision paperwork with the driver that I was to sign. I decided to sign it and move on and try and locate the vehicle from another dealer. I made that decision because if I didn't sign it they wouldn't be able to nullify my loan paperwork through Toyota Financial Services and I didn't want to be paying for a car I didn't receive.
