Star Mitsubishi

Felisha of Garden City Park, NY October 16, 2009

I purchased a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer from Star Mitsubishi sometime ago and I have purchased another new Mitsubishi Lancer(2010) from them and picked it up yesterday, October 15, 2009. To my surprise, there are scratches on the front of the car. I did not notice it yesterday because it was raining. I noticed it this morning. My husband tried to speak with Pete about repairing it, but to no avail, Pete explained that we would have to pay for it.

I am very unsatisfied with the company's service since I first bought my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer. Their finance officer was very unprofessional and their employees were unwilling to help resolve any issues that arised. I am very disappointed that this is the result of my loyalty to this company. I will never recommend this company to anyone, I don't want them to be treated like we were. My husband and I were told by Angelo, the salesman that we qualified for 0% financing but at the last minute before signing the papers, Kenny told me I have to pay 4.90% because my credit came back as 727 instead of 730 or higher. I could not walk away because Pete told me that he would deduct the cost of them getting me the Rotor Glow color Lancer. Roughly $ 300 - $400.

Gregory of Far Rockaway, NY December 15, 2005

ON DECEMBER 9TH I HAD TAKEN MY 2000 FORD WINDSTAR TO STAR MITSUBISHI SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR AN OIL CHANGE. I HAD A TEMPORARY WHEEL ON MY CAR AND INQUIRED A PRICE QUOTE ON NEW TIRES. BECAUSE ONE TIRE WAS BLOWN OUT AND A DONUT (TEMPORARY WHEEL)WAS ON MY VEHICLE, WITH THREE MICHELIN TIRES ON IT AND AFTER WAITING THREE HOURS FOR AN OIL CHANGE, AND MY CAR WAS GIVEN BACK TO ME, THERE WERE THREE GOODYEAR TIRES ON THEM WITH THE DONUT.

I IMMEDIATELY ASKED DON WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO MY THREE TIRES(MICHELIN TIRES)? HE TOLD ME THAT I DID NOT HAVE MICHELIN TIRES ON MY VEHICLE AND IF I WANTED TO SPEAK TO THE MANAGER. I SAID YES, AND THEN I CALLED THE POLICE AND TOLD THEM WHAT HAD HAPPENED. AS I WAS WAITING FOR THE POLICE TO ARRIVE THE MANAGER BOB SPALLETTA, CAME AND I EXPLAIN TO HIM WHAT HAD HAPPENED, THAT MY MICHELIN TIRES WERE TAKEN OFF MY VEHICLE IN EXCHANGE FOR GOODYEAR TIRES WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. HE AUTOMATICALLY DENIED MY CLAIM AND STARTED RIDICULING ME AND TELLING ME TO LEAVE HIS PLACE OF BUSINESS, WHICH I REFUSED AND WAITED FOR THE POLICE TO ARRIVE. HOWEVER, WHILE WAITING FOR THE POLICE MR. SPALLETTA AND MR. HANFORD CONTINUED TO TRY AND CONVINCE ME THAT GOODYEAR TIRES WERE ON MY CAR PRIOR TO THEM SERVICING MY VEHICLE. WHEN THE POLICE CAME THEY IMMEDIATELY LOOKED AT ME AND THEN ASKED THE MANAGER WHAT WAS GOING ON. MIND YOU THAT I WAS THE ONE WHO CALLED TO FILE A COMPLAINT, BUT I WAS IMMEDIATELY LOOKED AT AS THE CULPRIT AND QUESTIONED AS IF I WAS THE INSTIGATOR,WHO WAS DELUSIONAL OR SUFFERED FROM SENILITY.

I WAS TOLD BY THE OFFICERS THAT IF I COULD NOT PROVE THERE WERE MICHELIN TIRES ON MY VEHICLE THAT THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT A POLICE MATTER AND SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT. ALTHOUGH, I WAS ROBBED OF MY TIRES WHICH WERE MY PROPERTY AND TAKEN BY STAR MITSUBISHI, I MADE TO FEEL AS THOUGH I HAD DONE SOMETHING WRONG. I KNOW WHAT KIND OF TIRES WERE ON MY VEHICLE BECAUSE THOSE TIRES WERE ON MY VEHICLE EVER SINCE I BOUGHT THAT VEHICLE OFF OF THEIR LOT. AFTER ALL WAS SAID AND DONE, I EVENTUALLY PAID THEM FOR THE OIL CHANGE AND LEFT THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS WITHOUT MY MICHELIN TIRES,THAT WERE ON MY CAR AND EVEN MY SPARE MICHELIN TIRE THAT WAS UNDER MY VEHICLE WAS CHANGED AS WELL.

I DON'T HAVE NO WAY OF PROVING THIS ACCUSATION UNLESS IT WAS ON FILE BEFORE I PURCHASE THE CAR FROM THEM, I DON'T KNOW. HOWEVER, I WOULD LIKE THIS TO BE A MATTER ON RECORD JUST IN CASE SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD COME IN FOR A PARTICULAR SERVICE AND LEAVE MINUS A PART(S) OR ADDED PART(S) LESS THE VALUE OF THE PART(S) REPLACED.
